Was not sure where to have a 60th birthday party. We decided on Theo’s and it was an awesome decision. We had about 17 people. The good was fantastic and our waitress Angelica was very helpful with setting up and making sure things went well. Cannot say enough good stuff about the experience.

This was my first time to Theo’s. Even though I’ve driven past it probably hundreds of times over the last couple of years, for whatever reason it has never piqued my interest enough to stop in. Should’ve trusted my instincts! I’ve read recently poor inspections for this restaurant as it seems to be in violation of several things… looked clean from my perspective, but you never know what lies behind those kitchen doors! Ignorance is bliss perhaps? Our party of 8 had reservations and we were seated promptly. The waitress impressed us by rattling off the large specials list without a notepad or assistance; however, that was the last time that we were impressed by the service… After her first visit to the table, where we ordered beverages, we waited over 10 minutes for them to arrive to the table. We then ordered our food, including appetizers. The kids meal and appetizer showed up 15 minutes later. Then the rest of the entrees followed an additional 20 minutes after that. Meanwhile, the children were done eating and having a hard time staying occupied and we had a hard time enjoying our food… not the restaurants fault, but still the general timing of everything kind of sucked. We had a soft shell crab appetizer, lasagna, and broiled scallops. Everything was alright. The food was not bad. It wasn’t good. It fell in that in-between, gray area that means there is really no need to go back. The restaurant wasn’t anything special and the service left much to be desired. I would gladly choose other restaurants in the area.

The food is good. The bartenders are nice. We like the owner who is usually there. The appetizers are good. The specials are usually really good. Good place for a date night.

I will definitely be getting the Greek Salad again. Good size CUBES of very fresh Feta, red onions, kalmata olives, pepperochini, just right Greek dressing, spring salad with romaine. It was just as it was supposed to be. I almost think there was a Chicago Greek in that kitchen! I got it to go, but I will definitely be back to try the soups, appetizers and entrees. Hopefully, by now they’ve learned to drain the pasta(other reviews). The salad was very FRESH and that is a good indicator of the rest of the food.

Apps were nicely prepared. The staff was welcoming. Caesar salad had been soaking in dressing way too long and completely wilted the lettuce making it extremely unappealing. My entrée was Seafood Italiano which was terrible. Pasta WAYOVERCOOKED. The sauce was taken over by the cup of pasta water added to the dish. I literally poured the water out of the bowl into a side dish. Talk about disappointed I had high hopes for the restaurant and my meal. My wife also got a pasta dish that had overcooked pasta but was not swimming in pasta water. It was my wife’s first time here and I doubt we will return. If I feel the need to drop $ 100 and walk away disappointed I will go to the casino because that is an expected ending.

We stopped here on the way home from Woodward Camp. It’s easy to get to, priced well and they give you generous portions. We all had burgers and enjoyed them. I also had the greek lemon soup, I’ve never had this before, it was excellent. They wee growing fresh basil and tomatoes outside the door. I wish there was a caprese salad to take advantage of those fresh ingredients.

What I really like about this place is that every thing on the menu is home made. The meatballs, the crab cakes, and the soups. The tomato soup is creamy and fresh. I got a cup but I should have ordered a bowl! The burgers are always good and juicy They grow tomatoes and basil out front! Clean and modern spot Nice happy hour 4 – 6. Big bar

If you are shopping at the Capitol City Mall, Theo’s is a great place for lunch, Monday through Saturday. Grilled Chicken and Gouda cheese on a kaiser roll is excellent! Bartender makes great Vodka Martinis. Tuna Melt on a Pretzel Roll is also very good. Prices are reasonable. Love the prompt service.

Lunch for two. Homemade unsweetened tea is perfect, water with every meal has no chlorinated taste like it’s just cold tap. Started with French Onion soup and onion rings. Both were superb, soup by far the best French onion we ever had. She had Chicken Marsala, said was good but could use a little more of the Marsala wine. I had the filet which was perfectly done(can tell it was made on the grill and not oven by the ever so slight char to the edge which was perfect). Dessert and drinks shall follow another visit.

Theos bar and grille is a great choice for family dining or going out with friends. The food is the most impressive part of the whole thing. Incredible appetizers, entres, and desserts. The only minor inconvenience was the speed of the service. Our waitress was very attentive and pleasant, but we did wait quite a while for our drinks and our check. Overall Theos was a very good experience.

Not a good choice tonight. maybe an off night? Good beer selection-both draft and bottled. Bread was tough and didn’t come out until after the meal was served. Filet was tougher than a sirloin, and had been swimming in the juice of whatever sauce they poured over the green beans that the filet tasted like the juice. 4 TVs around the bar so good to watch sports … 3 patrons, and no one was watching CNN, so I asked to move Monday Night Football to that TV … which rewarded me with a remote and the comment«I don’t know how to do that» … oh well. maybe an off night

Two stars only because I enjoyed their lamb dish on my first visit there. I’ve made a couple of more visits since then and have noticed a serious issue with food quality/freshness. Ordered their lasagna and it tasted like something that was previously frozen and/or microwaved. Same with their BBQ ribs, which were quite an experience. The meat was extremely tough, I kept biting into bits and pieces of bones and thought I was going to choke on them. I’ve never disliked restaurant food enough to completely toss it, but it was just disgusting. I don’t want to know how old that meat was. Hope they improve their food quality someday, but for now I’m not going to risk my health.

I have been here before and had better experiences. but this one was not good. It was very empty so nothing can be blamed on it being busy. Our waitress seemed very inexperienced or not trained properly. She was very nice so I blame the management. I asked her if the turkey burger was made in house. I do not like the pre made burgers nor the nitrates that are usually in them. She said everything here is made in house including the cole slaw. Ok so I ordered it. Well, it was definitely not made in house and you could see that right away. A pressed frozen burger that was not very appealing. I ate half of it and she asked how it was. I said it was terrible and I expected a thicker in house made burger. She said it is very hard to make a burger with turkey thick… really? At the end of the meal she asked it I wanted it to go. I said no it was terrible. She said next time you should get the roast beef n cheddar… no I’ll take it off the bill, no can I get you something else, no can I get a dessert for you on the house… nothing. I was not in the mood to argue so I just paid the bill and left. She did say she was new to the restaurant so I blame all this on poor training and maybe lack of experience on her part. The other 4 meals the family had were good not great. Mine would be a 1… there’s a 3 at best… hence the 2 rating.

Came here for a business lunch when visiting a vendor in the area about two months ago. Good service, decent scratch-made food. I enjoyed the chili quite a lot and many of my companions raved about the French onion soup. If I recall correctly I ordered a crab cake sandwich that was pretty decent. Could have used more lump crab and less filler, but I remember it was served on a nice soft roll.

I was here for a large family dinner that had been arranged beforehand. The food was mediocre at best and the staff was exceptionally RUDE. After asking three times for a children’s menu, the waitress loudly and in a condescending manner told me each thing they could make for a child. Until I ate at this restaurant, I didn’t know it was possible to feel abused and ignored at the same time. The floors were filthy and between the food quality and atmosphere, I stopped eating after a few bites. I will NEVER set foot in this establishment again.

Went here for a bridal shower. Received excellent service, food was pretty delicious and wine bottles are decently priced! Would definitely recommend this location for dinners with a large group of people!

I’ve driven by this place a hundred times and never gone in, but we decided to stop in for a quick bite and drink one afternoon. The décor is kinda dark and not my personal taste preference, but it was nice enough and seemed clean. Being mid afternoon on a Saturday the place was expectantly pretty vacant, but we had a seat at the bar. We were then greeted by a bar tender who was efficient and polite, but at the same time seemed to be hating life a little bit at the moment — it could have just been the two drunk older men at the other end of the bar that kept yelling to him though. For food we sampled a few appetizers — wing and ribs platter(both were good, but I liked the ribs especially) and the onion rings(good). Overall I’m not sure if I’d go out of my way to return here, but that may just be a vendor taste preference because what I saw of the drinks, service and food was all good.

Three words… Peanut. Butter. Pie!!! Came in with a small group from work on a business trip for dinner. We were seated right away and the staff was helpful and friendly. The rolls were great and I had a buffalo chicken salad which was pretty solid. At the end of dinner I heard the magic words«peanut butter pie» spoken. The food was good but the dessert was great! Biggest reason for the three star review was the REALLY slow service. Everything from drinks, to meals, to dessert, and even our checks took a lot longer than it should have and none of the staff seemed to care or want to help. All in all, I was please with the food and atmosphere. Just plan on not making it a quick trip in and out.
