We are the only «Eco-​Friendly, Green» Tree Service in the Bay area. We Trim, Shape or Remove just about any Tree. We also stump grind any size stump. We do Tree Aeration (because roots are just as important as rest of the tree). Aeration is the process of improving the soil to allow the exchange of gases between the root system and the atmosphere.

Our Brush Chippers, Bobcat Tractor and my bid car Turbo Diesel New Beetle (which gets 52MPG) run with 100% recycled Bio-​Diesel that is locally produced in California.

Chris Bellizzi grew up here in Silicon Valley after moving here at age 6. I saw the San Jose area go from Orchards to Suburbs. I went to Elementary School at corner of Almaden Expressway and Blossom Hill. That school doesn’t exist anymore, having been a shopping center for over 35 years. Early on was very interested in being Earth friendly (Green) I then moved south into Almaden Valley went through Junior and High School. I graduated in 1978 and discovered something in that summer that changed my life forever. Fall came, and so I enrolled in San Jose State. After 3.5 years at college I decided I was tired of being a poor college student .The thing that changed my life was rock climbing and being an outdoor enthusiast. I developed a natural talent for being extreme rock climber. Around the same time I was exposed to Tree Work by a fellow rock climber and discovered I had a talent for organizing jobs and of course natural Tree climbing ability. The Rest is history.

The service I received from Chris Bellizzi was top notch. He delivered the same day I called which was unexpected!!! The wood was mixed hardwood including mostly oak and other great hardwoods. The wood all burned very nice without smelling up our house. I’m now getting my next delivery and I will not shop around. I have found my firewood guy.

Chris saved our tree! We were told by a neighbor that our huge Modesto ash tree was cracking. We contacted the City of Saratoga. The arborist declared the tree dying and we could cut it down. We were very sad the tree is over 45 years old and provides shade in the afternoon. We called Chris and he came by within 24 hours to take a look and quote the work.
The tree was cut back to reduce the weight and we expect it to recover with the «diet» Bellizzi Tree Service gave it. The guys were on time, did a great job and cleaned everything up. We have seen a few homeless squirrels running around looking for their nests. I can now park my car under the tree.

Chris and team are awesome!!! I had a dead Mulberry tree in the front yard. The team showed up early, were efficient and quick! They must have worked together for years as they each worked individually and in unison to complete the job. They even left me the chips to spread in the front and back yards… and did the front yard for me. A little added landscaping service they said.

I’ve contact this service twice over the last month. First time the answerer said he’d text me and never did. Yesterday someone said they’d call me back as they were driving, they never did. I will try to re review if they ever get back to me. What good is a service you can’t use???
I’ve now returned to UPDATE:
The business finally returned my calls and scheduled a estimate after quite an ordeal. I was unhappy with the estimate. I had my money returned by Amazon local as even with their coupon I found other vendors less expensive. I’ve since had the work handled very nicely by the other vendor and I’m satisfied with their timeliness. Best I can say is buyer beware with Bellizzi trees service company.
Lastly, I was contacted about my review and given several excuses for the issues. First, I didn’t appreciate the contact; as, I feel if you own a business and can’t personally contact for scheduling or whatever, you should hire someone, or have a spouse or friend help you out. My time is as valuable as yours and excuses aren’t worth much to me!

Despite my best efforts I wasn’t able to get anything going with this company. I called and left messages. Spoke once to a gentleman that sounded a bit gruff. He said he would get back to me but didn’t. Perhaps He just wasn’t into me. I didn’t get any further than an initial phone call. Hope you have better luck. :)

As promised I’ve returned to update my comments. The city has confirmed that Bellizzi has permission to dump. Although I seem to remember it looked like grass clippings and not tree bark. I’ll give them the benifit of the doubt as this trail is in pretty poor shape and any sort of mulch along the sides probably provides needed mulch. I’m giving them 5 stars to show appreciation that they did get permission.

Unlike the 3 other tree service companies I called, Chris called me back right away, then quickly gave me a quote. After many calls to other tree companies and many days waiting, I finally got another quote that confirmed Chris’ quote was competitive. His crew then showed up right on time and did a great job on 3 trees for me. Seems like it’s hard to find someone reliable in the tree business, but Bellizzi is one you can count on to be dependable and competent.

Called to get a bid for a redwood removal. Didn’t get a estimate that day. In fact didn’t even get an estimate until two weeks later after it was removed. Though the estimate was cheaper than the rest… but required removing fencing and another tree blocking the side gate.

Bellizzi and crew were Fantastic! They arrived promptly at 7:00 am with smiles on their faces and ready to start. By 8:30, our 80 foot redwood tree was a huge toothpick in our yard. By noon, the job was complete. I was very impressed! They are very good at what they do, and are certainly knowledgeable about trees. I’ll admit, i was a little nervous to have such a large tree removed, but the job could not have gone better. I will hire them again and definitely recommend them to anyone in need of a tree service…

It was really more grading work than actual tree service but Chris was great in finding me a cost effective resource for the grading, did his end of the job on time and perfect as usual. Had a very good experience with Bellizzi Tree Service. We called after a terrible storm that did major damage to a large tree in our backyard. Half the tree had broken off and the other half was precariously leaning toward the house. Chris gave us a reasonable estimate over the phone via emailed photos. The team was out in a few hours and had the entire tree removed by end of day. They left the entire area clean and swept. Since the area was so wet they couldn’t initially grind the stump but did come back to finishing the job in a reasonable amount of time.
We were very appreciative of the swift service. It likely saved us from house damage since the storm continued for several days afterwards.

You might not know this, but If you go to the Bellizzi yard they have lots of tree chips you can take for free. I just got 5 bags for putting on the paths between my raised beds. Awesome deal!

I have a large Eucalyptus that I had Chris and his crew do several years go. He climbed it himself up 100 ft with block and tackle to trim this tree for over a day. They cleaned up great and left and I was very happy. Over the following years I had a few other tree service firms do a trim while doing other work on my property and ended up being disappointed in both the higher price and poor workmanship. The last time I needed the tree trimmed, I called Chris back. I reminded him what he did last time and how happy I was. He told me that he has become bigger had a few crews doing contracts with the city of Cupertino. He assigned a crew of his to come back and do the work. Well — When the boss is gone — they left doing ½ the job Chris did before and left debris all over the driveway. The big problem occurred in when I called and talked to Chris, he told me that he discussed the job issues with his crew leader and then told me that he said the job was done correctly. He did not even take the time of even coming to inspect it himself. Chris told me that since what I paid ten years earlier the prices had increased and if I wanted a full trim job, it would be much more than what he quoted. At the time he quoted, he never mentioned doing ½ job or full job and wanted to charge me close to what he did originally because I was a «repeat» customer. Well not anymore.

What service company would call his customer a liar? What possible benefit would I have to make my comments unless a real issue existed. All he had to do was to come back and take a look at it while I was there to discuss it with him. I called him back a second time specifically because he did a great job himself when he lead the crew. it prices had increased, I would be more than understanding but he did not mention that when he quoted.

Wow! I was so impressed. Chris showed up, did a thorough inspection of all the trees on our property, gave a bid to get all of it done and get the trees healthy again. Very knowledgeable as well as eco– conscious.
When we had one of the trees done, the crew showed up and did an excellent, fast and efficient job. The tree looks incredible. Really fast work and very clean. When they left the only telltale sign they had been there was how amazing the tree looked!

Chris and his team get high marks for the three P’s. Professional, Prompt, Price. I had a huge forest in my backyard that needed to be removed so I could put in an addition to my house. Three 70′ nasty pine trees (huge!), two mature eucalyptus, and one mature black walnut. They worked fast and safely. Chris provided excellent service at the best possible price. He’s insured, licensed and bonded. Beware other tree people who offer cut-​rate service, chances are, they aren’t insured. Chris is fully insured and is the best around.
