I’ve been a member for years/​when it was under different ownership/​things have changed but they are doing great and have added some upgrades. Girls are always very sweet and helpful! I never have to wait for mystic spray and they set me up if I call when I’m on my way! Great staff!

I love coming to this salon. The staff is always friendly and fast. The entire place is super clean, and I love that most of their beds are the stand up kind. It makes me feel like I am getting a better tan, and it feels more sanitary than the lay down version, but from the look of the beds in the private rooms they seem super clean and well maintained.

I’ve been getting spray tans since they became a thing. At one point the only place that did hem was in Fremont. I live is San Jose… So when I say «I have searched hi and low for quality spray tans», I’m serious! About 6 months ago after a disappointing run at another place… I joined Cali Tan. So far? I love it. I have used 3 of their locations. The only negative I will say is the lack of congruency from one salon to the next. For example– the booth at the one in Campbell is pretty bad. You get good color, but zero ventilation, so I always feel like I’m suffocating. The booth at the South San Jose location is literally the bees knees. It’s better than getting airbrushed. Now to the airbrush. They are all good. The one in Willow Glen gives a really funky red pallor to your skin until you wash it off. So don’t plan on going anywhere until at least 8 hours later. The girls are all really great. For airbrush my favorite is named Micah– she’s mostly at the Campbell store. Anyhow– for 79 a month I get unlimited airbrush, or booth tans. Pretty sweet considering I’ve paid 50 or more for ONE for a very long time!

This place is very clean and professional. I’ve been there twice and I had a very good experience. prices are very reasonable compared to other tanning salons. I’ll be going to my third tanning session next next.

I made an appointment for Aug. 1, excited for a spray tan before my trip to Cancun for 10:15 am. I read all the good reviews so I thought the drive would be worth it. I came a bit early since I was driving from Palo Alto, only to be standing outside of the door for nearly an hour without anyone showing up. I was really upset because I had my flight to Cancun that night! So I ended up going back home, wasting time and money since I had no choice but to go spray tan at an expensive salon in Menlo Park. I guess they changed their name to Cali Tan? It was betan just two weeks ago… I’m still mad no one showed up or gave me a call to apologize since I had an appointment.

This morning Saturday, August 1^st. I was there along with 2 others womens waiting
for the store to be open then come the 3^rd one coming. all 4 of us just waiting for
an hour. by 11:00am we realize no one will show up store hours open at 10:00am
I been with Hollywood Tan which change name to Be Tan with the old owner name
John. for many years. Hiring minimum wages young peoples working for you not
always reliable sometime they are late or no show. what the old owner use to do is
check in the store to make sure one of his employee is there answering the phone
by 10:00am if no answer he would personally come down himself and open up the
stores, John does that a couple of times. This new owner should do them same
that call proactive and great customers service. one of the girl who waited for an hour
come from Palo Altos, I am from Sunnyvale. Hopefully this won’t happen again.

Great experience. I’ve had the airbrush tan. It turned out great! Very professional and the place is clean.

As an existing member at Magic Tan & Willow Glen Tanning I was so happy to hear that they now own at third location! My first visit was great, I received a tour of the salon, as well as, a thorough explanation of how to use the equipment. I was then given helpful recommendations on which accelerator to use, too. All in all, I received great costumer service!
Not to mention, the manager Lindsey is absolutely wonderful! She is helpful, knowledgable and knows just about every client by name. If you want a beautiful tan and excellent costumer service go here (or any of their locations!).

BeTan has amazing customer service and they continually keep up a positive and comfortable vibe every time. Lindsey is amazing and does an amazing airbrush job! Holistically, this is an awesome tanning salon and I would definitely recommend it. The whole team is super friendly and are willing to help! Ask for Lindsey of you want an airbrush!

I found out a couple weeks ago that John sold the business and the new owners are offering better deals. I decided to go with a Platinum package, upgrading from a Bronze package. I think it was $ 20 more monthly, but you get free tans, discounts on lotions, and upgrades every month. It’s actually a great deal! Now, you can put your membership on hold for as long as you want. No two to three month maximum like John had it. So I figure during the summer I’ll pay a little extra to be more tan, then put my membership on hold for awhile.
I’ve only been a few times under the new ownership, but the customer service is great! One of the girls seemed like she didn’t know how to change my package to their new system, but it worked itself out. I don’t blame her, new software systems sometimes suck.
My only complaint is that they close at 5 on weekends. I’m usually busy during the day so I wish they stayed open later. But I get it, if you don’t have the customers then there isn’t a need to stay open, so my rating isn’t going down for that.
They offer brown towels now so you don’t feel bad getting brown lotion all over the white ones. Smart. I’ll be going all summer to keep this tan up!

The customer service was extremely kind and helpful both over the phone and in person.

I love coming here. They’re very clean and have a beauty bar with all kinds of things from hair ties to deodorant and don’t even get me started on the girls that work here. They always remember my name and even remember what my car looks like so when I pull up they’ve already started the check in process when I walk in. Absolutely amazing customer service! Kudos to the owner and management staff.

What a great place to get your glamorous tan before a vacation or just keep a healthy glow of your skin.
The owner is very nice and accommodating. He was flexible to exchange a number of UV-​tan sessions I had on my account for UV-​free ones due to some medical treatments I was going through at the time. Now I’m back to UV tanning and I love it.
You will alway find the place nice and clean. The staff is welcoming and provide great customer service. There are always special deals and you can find one that will fit your budget.

I love this place. The employees are all so nice, they always remember my name, I never need to make an appointment, and the salon is really well kept and clean. They have a station in the back with complementary hair ties, deodorants and sprays to freshen up, and the booths are spacious and well maintained. Although slightly pricy, I bought a membership for the «60» booth and have already seen my color darken quite a bit. So worth it!

I always pop in unannounced… Wearing the tightest work out clothes possible… Extremely unprepared for a tanning sesh, and rushing to get semi decent for an event. To my surprise, John is there-​always… And my airbrush is flawless for days-​every time… He is the master of airbrush…

I love BeTan! I’ve been a customer of this salon over the years and have always had such a wonderful experience here.
I used to live nearby, but after moving to Mountain View last year, my tanning habits fell by the wayside & I became a pasty ghost! Recently, I started researching tanning salons again because I have an upcoming event. Most places near me are super pricey or require you to sign a membership agreement for a minimum period of time. Ugh.
I decided to come back here & am so glad I did. BeTan always has amazing specials going on, their monthly memberships are reasonably priced, and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. For what it’s worth, I’ve used both UV and UV-​free tanning here with exceptional results!
BeTan’s quality equipment and stellar customer service is second to none. Yes, I drive from Mountain View to Campbell just to tan here. Don’t judge me.

I’m only Unilocaling this place 2 stars due to there «mystic tan». The staff there is awesome, especially the guy. Gave outstanding service and knew what he was doing, and he was pretty much close to upsellling me. lol. I’ve sprayed tan many many times due to my job so i know how it works, I hear the tanning beds are awesome, but i’m not into the beds.
Mystic tan:
— I’ve been to many places where they provide complimentary barrier cream and feet guard, but betan tried to charge me 10.99 for it… which wouldve came out for a total of 41 bucks. Other places charge higher than 30 maybe around 34 – 36 but provide you with unlimited of useful supplies, and i mean unlimited of barrier cream. its been six hours now and my knee caps look wayyyy toooo dark, im literally trying to scrape it off that i think i ripped my skin.
— I’ve never been in a mystic tan where the mist literally stays in the booth. It got so foggy that by the time i rotated the 4^th time, i couldn’t see the numbers on the floor. I was literally tasting the sweetness from the spray, and honestly, felt that my asthma was going to act up.
I Love the staff, never seen such professional people at a tanning salon in a long time. I just hope they change the mystic tan soon or do something about it. I don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon though. BUT REMEMBER this is only for the MYSTIC TAN, not the tanning beds.
I hear the tanning beds are awesome.
