Meet the Business Owner

Curtis R.

Business Owner

President/​CEO of CKR Interactive, Curtis Rogers, is notable for his role in the development of one of the nation’s first career-​related websites, Career​Taxi​.com, which merged with Monster in 1995. He and partner Steve Schmidt launched the site while Curtis was President/​CEO of Rogers and Associates Advertising, one of the U.S.’ largest recruitment advertising agencies he established with Schmidt in 1981. Curtis remained as Division President after Rogers and Associates was acquired in 1995 by TMP Worldwide/​Monster.

In 2000, Curtis joined EmployChina​.com as Executive Vice President, overseeing the US operations. He managed international marketing and grew the site from a small regional operation to one of the largest full-​service employment companies and job boards in China. Curtis then went on to start CKR Interactive in 2001.

Curtis received his BA in Journalism/​Advertising and MS in Marketing from the University of Wisconsin, and is the father of three sons: Ryan, Jamie and Max.
