This isn’t a dollar store, the name is deceptive. My biggest problem with the store is that there are no advertised prices. I picked up an oven spray and the guy quoted a price, while watching being zoned into the ball game he was watching on TV, almost as if he made it up in his head. I would not come back here, there is a dollar tree right around the corner where everything actually costs a dollar.

a decently sized dollar store. of course a lot of things are over a buck, but they’re still cheaper than drug stores. prices range, they have sodas, dishes, even rhinestone jewelry. it’s a little dark and dingy inside, but that’s nothing new for a store like this. we got a couple of bottles of shampoo for about 2 bucks each, a bag of generic oreo-type cookies for $ 1.59. dog toys are about $ 1.69, much cheaper than petsmart next door. also got a kitchen utensil i’ve been needing for $ 1.29. i got some hair clips that were $ 1.69. the same clips at ross are $ 3, and $ 5 at walgreens. they have a decent selection(for a non-grocery) of european shelf-stable foods like kinder chocolate and pannetone, roasted peppers, etc. prices are similar to russian groc stores or even big lots. i got some delicious super-fatty german kutchen cake, it was $ 3, same price as grocery outlet. i think the lady who was at the front was maybe persian? she remembered my client from years ago, said he used to come in all the time. she was very kind to him. update: i have to up this to 5 stars, because the woman who owns the place is so nice. she always greets us warmly. she gave my client a free bag of balloons for xmas. the minimum purchase price of $ 10 was more than i was going to buy($ 6), so she told me i could just owe her. how awesome is that?

Don’t let the name of this place fool you as most items here cost almost as much as they do at the drugstore. It’s a shady place since there was no price on anything I got there today which was a gift bag, a B-day card, and a couple bars of Swiss chocolate. Dollar Value Mart my ass! I spent $ 2.99 for a gift bag, $ 2.99 for the B-day card and $ 2.49 for each chocolate bar. I could have gone to the Dollar Tree and saved a few bucks, but it’s always crowded there during the weekend and I was in a hurry since it was my husbands B-day and I wanted to get home in time for us to have an early dinner. Never again! Any place that doesn’t list the prices on their items should be avoided! I only bought the stuff today since it was close to my house but won’t be coming back ever!
