My feet have stumped several podiatrists but Dr Robinson fit me with orthotics that work beautifully. This is no small task for feet loaded with Morton neuromas, heel bone spurs, bunions, etc. I lead hiking groups so functional feet are a must. I’m so grateful for the referral to him!
In addition, whether he’s clipping, snipping, removing splinters or fitting orthotics, his touch is very gentle and reassuring. I will confidently go to him for bunion surgery in time.
Dr Robinson’s bedside manner is warm and he listens really well. He’s very efficient and his office runs on time and sports a friendly front desk.
I give Dr Robinson my highest recommendation and will happily drive the hour and a half round trip to see him.

This is a follow up. My subsequent medical treatment of this same issue that I went to see Robinson for revealed that I had a torn tendon in my ankle that extended to my foot. This condition was never suggested or diagnosed by Robinson – I was subjected to expensive and unnecessary treatment in this office. Ultimately I found out that I required surgery to repair the tear and it was done by an outstanding doctor in San Francisco. I can only say I am glad I did not fall for the $ 700 shoe orthotics Robinson wanted me to purchase. I was treated by
Robinson for a very expensive plantear fascitis treatment, which was in fact a misdiagnosis. If you want details, see my initial review.

I visited Dr. Robinson’s office for my foot injury back in June. After seeing three other doctors with unsatisfied feelings, I finally got a treatment I wanted on my injury and I was so glad that I found him. He was always friendly and explained with lots of words to make me understand what he did on my huge bruise and hematoma. I am sure i will recommend his office to my friends whenever they need a podiatrist. Thank you doctor!

Dr. Robinson is a great doctor. He has treated my entire family at various times. He is very understanding and considerate. My wife wanted a homeopathic solution instead of getting an injection in her foot. He will give you all the options and lets you pick how you want to be treated, without any pressure. She was very happy with the results.
The office staff is very very nice too. Jai is the best!

Updating review. The comments below still apply but I want to thank Dr. Robinson for his unwavering support and encouragement as I was getting ready for this year’s chicago marathon. He never doubted that I could finish well, despite my shin splint. He got me through and I was pain free for all 26.2 miles!

I think I inherited some of the worst feet imaginable. I have been going to Dr. Robinson for over 10 yrs. Early this year I began suffering from Sesamoiditis, which is lots of pain in the big toe and ball of the foot. After doing x-​rays, he confirmed this was my problem and recommended surgery to remove some broken bones and fuse the toe joint. The surgery went smoothly but my toe just didn’t want to fuse/​heal. I am 70 years old and things just don’t heal like they did when I was younger. After waiting a few months, we decided to do another surgery Keller Procedure and remove the pins that had broken in my toe. The 2^nd surgery was easy. I was walking in a week without much pain and could even wear some old soft shoes. The second surgery was done at the end of June so it has been 2 months. Today I saw Dr. Robinson for a follow up and told him that I wake every morning and DON“T think about my toe, have no pain whatsoever, and am walking like a champ. He is a Champion foot doctor. He calls you after surgery, follows up if you have problems and is always willing to listen and discuss any issues you have.
His office staff is efficient and cheerful and keep the office running smoothly. I rarely have to wait and if I do, he apologizes and makes you feel important.

Dr. Robinson is incredibly cool. This was my first time seeing the doctor and he was incredibly kind, caring, thorough and understanding. He took his time with me and was never rushed.

My pin was taken out! The toe has healed perfectly and having the pin taken out didn’t hurt one bit. I didn’t even need painkillers. I have been under treatment with Dr Robinson for a year now and I still feel just as positive about him as I did when I first posted this review last year. His staff are very friendly, competent and professional, his surgery is clean and well maintained. I have never had a problem with getting an appointment or billing. I can’t recommend him enough. He was and is fantastic.

Well, the staff here has blown this place. I am sure Dr Robinson is still good, but I can never reach him. The past 3 times I have called during business hours I have reached the machine. After 3 messages trying to schedule an appointment, I am giving up. Lack of professionalism means losing patients.

Dr. Robinson entered my life a gazillion years ago. I had 2 of the most horrendous bunions ever! He removed them and my life was changed. Yay! He has also been there for me for various little issues over the years.
I found his staff to be great. always friendly and helpful.

He is a competent thorough foot
wife,(Marla), had ingrown toe nails and with our children there, he still worked on my wife’s feet with a shield disallowing their view of his working on the footsies while my wife made up a story to keep them in check. She said he enjoyed the story as well! Months later, I went and saw him for foot issues as well and as my wife noted post recommendation to me~, he is careful, knowledgeable and thorough in his appraisal of your issue (s) and resolve. I’d see him in a toe cheese or athletes foot minute if I had such or other foot problems and highly recommend him!

I had been having pain on the tops of my feet and a little bit in my arches for about 1 month so I decided to go see Dr. Robinson. The office staff took xrays of my feet before I’d even said 2 words to the doctor about what my symptoms were. He comes in, looks at the xrays, looks at my feet and does his exam and says I’m over working them at work and then charged me 200 $!! It’s probably my mistake for going to a podiatrist, I should have just gone to my primary care physician, but I think it’s crazy that he doesn’t do any kind of exam before he has xrays taken. I still have the pain off and on. Before 2 months ago I’d never had any feet problems.

Dr. Robinson made podiatrists my new favorite type of doctor. Here’s how:
I never had an ingrown toenail until one struck 3 months ago. It became painful due to an infection, so I intently searched Unilocal reviews. Dr. Robinson fit me in on the same day and treated me on the spot. In that experience and follow-​up visits, he is always:
— a great listener
— efficient and calming during treatment
— thorough and clear about instructions for home care
— easy to schedule and flexible to changes
— runs a professional office with great staff

Since my 1^st visit to Dr Robinson Oct of 2010, I’ve decided to opt for a bunion surgery with Dr Robinson in July 2011. Being a super analytical person, I had every question imaginable from the surgery itself, what I can expect the healing time to be, what equipment do I need, what pain medication will I be on, what are follow up visits like etc. Dr Robinson and his staff have tirelessly, and VERY patiently answered all questions to my satisfaction, gave me cd and literature to educate myself with at home. Together the team made sure I got all the answers I needed, equipment and medication to prep before the surgery and knowing what to expect for the healing journey.
Fast forward to Jan 2011, I’ve completely healed from the bunion surgery, even took out the screw that was holding the bones in place. I’m happily MUCH MORE active then ever before, running, stairclimbing and bar method for now and sky is the limit with my bunion no longer hurting me. And for the ladies, Yes I squealed with delight when my foot can fit into a pair of sexy heels comfortably– that Cinderella-​like excitement will never go out of style.
My actual healing period is about 4 months (typically 3 – 6 months) — and I also only took 1 day of Vicodin for pain after the surgery, that’s it! A friend of mine underwent bunion surgery with a different doctor in the city, and its 7 weeks in since the surgery and she’s still taking pain meds daily and had to borrow my «ice machine» because her doctor didnt give her the option of such equipment. Such a difference in the healing journey– def choose your surgeon/​doctor wisely– go with Dr Robinson whenever possible even if you have to drive a little further.
I also want to mention that to care for the foot isnt all about having 1 surgery and it’s the end of the story, there are a lot of corrective actions/​follow up actions that prevent problems from coming back. During the many follow up visits with Dr Robinson, I have to say Jai, his can-​handle-​it-​all assistant is a pleasure to see every time and her super productive manner makes sure you’re not only well taken care of, your time is not wasted.

I have been going to Dr Robinson for over 10 years and he is an excellent podiatrist and I highly recommend him. He is very personable as is his staff and they are also very friendly. I have been running for over 10 years and he has helped me with an assortment of ailments and kept me running at a high level through that time. He has the most modern and current technologies available to help you recover from your ailment in a timely manner.

If you need a podiatrist, Dr. Robinson is your man! After having issues with my ankle repeatedly every year or so, no one was able to tell me what’s wrong and just told me I must have injured it unknowingly. Shortly after I moved in the area, I had the issues again. I found Dr. Robinson here on Unilocal and went it not knowing what to expect. After I described my history, he ordered a test and just nailed it. Mystery solved!
His staff is also competent and friendly. Dr. Robinson even recommended a fantastic family doctor for me (Dr. Christian Fulmer) for long term care. That’s another big star for Dr. Robinson, good doctors know other good doctors!

What a great place. Just what a doc’s office ought to be like. The treatment suggested is novel and unlike what was offered by other docs in the past — and it seems to be working. The approach is logical. The wait was short. The visit was comprehensive — and nothing like the doc calling at the end of the day to review instructions and ask if there were other questions. Wow. that extra effort is fantastic.

I visited Dr. Robinson a few months ago for a common issue and based on the positive reviews on Unilocal.After completing my treatment and visits with Dr. Robinson, I felt compelled to leave high marks as well!
The treatment prescribed solved my foot problem within a few weeks, and it hasn’t recurred. Like a previous poster, Dr. Robinson called me the evening after I first visited him, welcoming me to his practice and making sure I had followed the procedure between office visits. I appreciated that personal touch. On the whole, the office staff is friendly and professional, and I would direct anyone in the area to him who is in need of a podiatrist. Thanks!

This guy is amazing! I went to him in ⁶⁄₀₇ with a foot problem. I was heavy into training and running at the time. Turns out I had a stress fracture in my foot. He put the usual «moon boot» on me. The real amazing part was that I told him I still need to train. Since he is a marathoner himself he completely understood and got me back to my training the next day. Modified of course to make sure we got it healed asap. His office is clean, professional, and everyone there is wonderful. He is a true althlete’s doctor. He helped me achieve my training goals even when I had a broken foot.
This is the person you want if you are having foot pain. He has an xray in his office. No need to run out for xrays.
