Partytime Machines

We rented the ice cream/​froyo machine for our daughters outdoor wedding and it was a huge hit! We added a fun topping bar, and our guests loved making their own desserts. It was a great addition to the wedding cake.
I’ve also used Partytime Machines for business events/​parties and have always been very happy with their service!

We rented a Margarita Machine for the first time not knowing anything about what we were getting ourselves into. What a refreshing tasty treat on a hot summer day. This machine did everything and served up almost perfect Margaritas all afternoon /​evening. The Partytime folks were so easy to work with and very professional. Next year we are going to rent TWO!

Decided it would be fun to rent a margarita Machine from Partytime machines for my mom’s 60^th birthday party. The party was on a Sunday so they told me to pick it up Friday and return it on Monday morning. Be aware when going here for the first time to pick up, you need to drive around the back of the building, it was a bit confusing, but I figured it out. I picked up the machine and the employee that helped load it into my car was very helpful and showed me how to use the machine.
I got the machine home and on the day of we excitedly set up the machine and got it started… unfortunately the machine never got cold enough to freeze the mix… it pretty much ran all day and only just chilled the margaritas… we ended up making the best of it and drank them with ice cubes haha it tasted good!
I returned the machine the next morning and told the employee that it didn’t work. He asked me a few questions and then told me he would check it out for me. I got an email today admitting that the machine was in fact malfunctioning and that it was not operator error. They did not charge me a thing.
I really appreciated their honesty and customer service. Although the machine didn’t work, I still recommend them because I’m sure this was just a fluke and they definitely worked hard to make things right.

I could not be more satisfied. The reservation was very simple and Sonja was very helpful in letting me know how things would work, how long it would take the machine to make margaritas, what was the most popular flavor, etc. She suggested I spend a little extra on good alcohol and it was good advice. She even called me an hour before pickup to remind me.
When I picked the machine up they were very helpful with first testing the machine to be sure it worked properly and then how to run it. They included a bucket with mixing instructions right on it and a 20′ extension cord. They also gave me written instructions in how to run and clean it with troubleshooting tips.
The machine worked flawlessly and much more quickly than I even hoped. It was a very hot day and we had product in less than an hour. Our guests were raving about the margaritas. At the end you just run water through it on the clean cycle and wipe it off. What could be easier
Return the next morning was just as easy with everyone being very quick and helpful. I dropped it off on my way in to work and it took all of 5 minutes.
I will definitely use them again.

Rented the cotton candy and popcorn machine. Never used one before, so it was scary at first, but they give you a step by step written instructions on how to use and clean. They were easy to use and clean. Don’t let 30 cleaning fee scare you. Just a little warm water and everything comes off!
We had a great time with these machines. We will be using this company again. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Our party was on a Friday and they let us return the machines on Monday so no one had to do it one the weekend!

Not a happy experience.
I found Partytime via a google search and it looked like they had what i was looking for in a SnowKone and Popcorn machines for my daughters 12^th bday party. I engaged with Sonja initially over email and then via phone calls. There was a lot of conversations and back and forth but i figured it was just their process. The day before my daughters party, Sonja called asking if I could take the SnowKone and PopCorn machines a day early as it would be more convenient for them in avoiding traffic. This could not happen due to the party being the following and and there was no way to transport both machines. Long story short, the day of the party and nobody showed up from Partytime. I called and spoke to Ren (owner) who claimed that i had cancelled my order which is why it did not show up. After explaining the multiple convos w Sonjia and as recent as Friday, he then changed his story that all were rented for the GS Warriors victory parade and had not been returned. He promised to call me the next week to discuss but never followed through
Need I explain any further about what i think of Partytime?

DO NOT RENT FROM HERE! The margarita machine can be bought for $ 70 at Costco.
When I made the reservation I specifically ensured to inform Tom about the double flight of 24 stairs and asked if it would be a problem and made sure the machine would be delivered at a time I would be able to receive it since I had to work the morning of my sisters baby shower I was hosting. While making the reservation, it was no problem, Tom had been «doing this a long time».
I would have to keep the machine over the weekend because they were closed Saturday after 6pm, but at the time I hadn’t seen my new machine or else I would have never gone for this $ 500 RIPOFF
I was contacted to drop off the machine at 8:38AM after I had informed Tom multiple times I would be available to receive the machine until noon, the machine had to be dropped off at a nearby family members apartment who just had a newborn baby and had her mom, 3 year old niece, and 2 year old nephew visiting.
My guest had to carry the machine up the stairs for the event and back down to my car afterwards since this «party rentals» company closes before 6PM on a Saturday and I was charged an extra $ 50 for delivery on top of the $ 150! This place is a ripoff!!!
I COULD COME TO YOUR EVENT WITH MY NEW MACHINE AND PROVIDE BETTER SERVICE, DELIVERY, AND SET UP THAN PARTY TIME MACHINES FOR HALF THE PRICE!

Second time I have rented a margarita machine from Partytime. First time was a double and this time I rented a single. At first I was apprehensive about using their mix but my friends loved the margaritas! I usually like to use Cuervo mix but their mix is good. Partytime makes it easy to reserve/​pay for the machine and pick up/​drop off is very easy.
As to making the margaritas they give you a bucket to mix everything in and it’s all marked on the side as to how much of each ingredient to put in. Freeze time was 3 hours. We had a great party and everyone loved the margaritas.

I was looking for a bubble machine for my daughter’s 5^th birthday. I called several places, but Partytime was the most responsive to my emails, and had competitive prices, so I went with them.
When I showed up, they said the the bubble machine that I had rented had a broken belt (they were testing it before renting it), so they rented 2 slightly smaller machines to me for the same price. Tori was very helpful and nice.
The machines didn’t work out for me that well. I don’t know if it was user error, or if that’s how bubble machines go… but we ended up with a big pile of bubbles on the ground, and just turned the machines off. When I returned the machines, I told Tori that our experience wasn’t that great. She was very apologetic, and refunded my money. I couldn’t have asked for better customer service.
I would definitely use Partytime rentals again.

Terrible customer service! First of all the machine I rented did not work and all they could do was accuse me of not reading the instructions or using it properly. I did read the instructions and the machine was «on a dedicated circut» but Ren (the owner) would not believe that and said this happens all the time when customers don’t have enough power running through their plugs. Why would you rent me a machine that doesn’t work with a normal 110 outlet. They refused to credit the rental and continued to berate and blame my wife and I for not understanding a so called contract that we never saw.
Stay away from this business!!!

If I could give this place NO stars, I would do it! DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE. I rented a cotton candy machine from Ren (owner). When I picked it up, I specifically asked him, «how do I clean this when I return it?» He said, «ohh it is easy, simply dump the remaining sugar from the valve». THAT IS IT. He did not say anything else but please be careful of the dome because it is expensive. Really? The thing was cracked in half with nasty glue on it. The dome was so old you couldn’t even see through it. When I returned the machine, Ren said, «it is dirty, common sense would tell you to clean it». OMG, WTF, REALLY? I have nothing to say but rent from somewhere else and save yourself the grief and spare yourself the extra $ 30 they charge you for cleaning their OLD machines.
BTW-​the stupid machine gave us 6 baseball sized cotton candy. THAT IS IT. I will NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN.
P. S. He also had the nerve to accuse me a not returning a yellow extension cord. He never gave an extension cord. Who the hell would steal an extension cord? Aren’t they only $ 5?!? When I told him that, he said, well, I could be wrong… WRONG IN EVERY WAY.

This place have the worse customer service ever. I rented a Magarita from them for the company I work for. The old guy that is running the place is rude.
I gave him my company credit card and I ask for a receive and he say he cannot print 1 cuz the person that know how to run the credit card is not there. WTF. So he wrote down my card #. I just hope he dont put any charge on there beside the fees

In June 2013, I went on Partytime’s website and submitted reservation request for my daughter’s 1 year bday. I was looking into a snow cone maker or popcorn machine.
Never heard back and didn’t think about Partytime a second time.
Until a week ago, November 11^th I received an email from Partytime — Ren Calderhead with subject «Partytime invoice». Below is the email from Ren…
«Hello Yvonne,
Attached please find a copy of your invoice for rentals from PartyTime Machines. Payment is due upon receipt. this event was back in July, Won’t you please pay today?
We hope your event was a great success!

Are you kidding me partytime? I was surprised to read the email and view the invoice.
I emailed Ren twice and never heard back. He better void that invoice because I only inquired and did not receive any services from the business.

I threw a luau party for my office last week, and we rented a piña colada/​mai tai machine from Partytime Machines. They did a FANTASTIC job… truly went above and beyond with their communication, customer service, and delivery/​pick up process. The machine was clean, the mixes tasted great, and my interaction with every person at the company was professional and impressive. It makes my job SO much easier and more enjoyable when I can work with amazing companies like Partytime Machines!

Excellent service. My only complaint was between the guy on the phone telling me to get the Unilocal coupon for $ 10 for $ 20 when the check in deal worked out much more in my favor. I now have a $ 10 for $ 20 coupon that I don’t know when I am going to use.
I got the margarita machine. The margarita mix was tasty, and was consumed by my guests, and the hurricane mix was used as a non-​alcoholic mix on the other side of the machine. As these were the primary beverages at my birthday party, I am glad they were a hit!

Working with Tori at PartyTime Machines was a treat!
I wanted to have Dole Whip instead of cake at my wedding, so I contaced PartyTime Machines about a soft serve machine rental. Since they had never used Dole whip mix before, they wated to do a test run. I gave them some mix, and they discovered that a smaller machine would provide the hourly output I needed — saving me money AND hassle! Winning!
The machine worked well during the wedding and other than a snag on the pickup (the driver called me on my honeymoon instead of calling the venue as instructed), everything was perfect. :-)

Used Partytime Machines twice and the most recent experience may be the last…
Last year, requested Partytime Machines to drop off a machine at 9 am. The driver arrived at 8:15 am?!? During the pickup, the driver missed his pickup window and gave me a hard time… um…what happened to the contract?!? I recall Partytime machines making a big fuss since they had to come back again to pick up the machine at my convenience.
The driver also wanted to charge me a «cleaning fee»…um okay?!?
Fast forward one year to May 2012. Requested Partytime machines to stop by at 9 am. During the reservation process, the contract clearly articulated that the driver had to be punctual. (I was about to impose a $ 50 discount if I had to wait since Partytime Machine’s contract imposes a $ 50 fee if the driver has to wait…)
9:25 am the driver calls stating that he is «one block away» and will be here shortly as he had to ensure that he brought me the right equipment.
9:40 am, the driver arrives at the East side when I requested for the West side of campus… aye aye aye.
Ordered a «dual» margarita machine and the driver had the urge to ask me why I ordered a «dual» machine when I only requested for one flavor. (I wanted both alcoholic and virgin drinks…)
After pushing the machine back to the West side of campus, the driver had to pick up the right machine «in 10 minutes.»
…45 minutes later, the driver shows up again with the dual machine… aye aye aye.
…the return pickup was perfect…
…sorry…no more Partytime Machines for me…

Hard to find. They had what we needed! Thanks guy! You rock! Will definitely use them again in the future.
One piece of advice for the employees at the store, you should remove the cat items from the store since you deal with machines being used for food.

This is a great place to do business with, we could only wish every business out in the world were like Partytime Machines. They were true professionals.
We had to rent a bubble machine for our Relay for Life event at Willow Glen High School, we had received this business information from the American Cancer Offices and we immediately contact them for prices and availability. They were able to get back to us with all the information we needed to make the reservation for the bubble machine.
When we arrived to pick up the machine it was ready, and all the instruction were easy and very clear how to run the machine. So if you are looking for a party machine this is who we would recommend you to come and get your machine from.
Everybody here was outstanding and we are unable to say enough good things about them, except try them for yourself.

Needed a Margarita machine ASAP and got it taken care of here without hassle and actually it was easy!
My sister had a blast at her party and I’m sure free flowing margaritas were partially responsible :)
They have a lot of other stuff and I will be sure to check out on my next visit.
