If you have never tried a bean pie before, you are missing out! Usually Br. Raoof is at the San Jose Farmer’s Market on San Pedro in downtown on Friday afternoons. He sells multiple sizes and also gives out free samples! The sweet potato pie is also very good too. Highly recommended.

The bean pies are delicious. Track down Raoof and try one yourself. If you like pumpkin pie, or sweet-potato pie, you’ll like bean pie. I like to eat a slice with a bit of plain yogurt as a topping. The sweet bean mixes well with the tart flavor of yogurt.

The pies are definitely a hit. I tried the bean pie and the sweet potato pie. Both were good! I’ve never had bean pie but I was surprised with how good it was. Worth a try if you ever run into him.

I bought a medium bean pie and it was delicious! The pie looks very simple but it is packed with great spices and a crispy crust! I will definitely come back next Sunday to buy another bean pie!

Just picked up a bean pie and sweet potato pie at the farmers market in the Santa Theresa Kaiser lot. I never had bean pie before and I have to say this was really good. Now as for the sweet potato pie, its been a hit or miss. There have been a lot of misses. The ones I liked were good, but this one is so far the best. Would have taken a pic but the pies disappeared to fast.

Pretty good, but not like the Muslim bakeries where I first tried bean pie. Priced well, and they do offer samples. Merchant does offer Visa or MasterCard purchase for those without cash. Thanks Raoof for the experience. Much respect.
