Stopped in this morning looking for sofa based on their good Unilocal reviews. We’re still in very early stage of shopping for furniture for the new house. My husband is very picky when it comes to comfy of the sofa. I feel compelled to give Ray good review because he was so incredible helpful and patient. They have good pricing on sofa. Ray also said if we see any other pieces of furniture elsewhere and show them pictures, they could order the same thing for at least 15% discount. They are family business. If you have any furniture need, definitely give them a try.

Finally posting the review after 6 months. I had purchased 2 sofas from Rose Design, and 6 months later they still look good. Ray is a honest guy, kinda hard to find such people these days. Everyone I met at the shop and even the delivery guys were polite. And the delivery was done in time! Nothing to complain about.

Ray and his son are incredibly helpful and patient with customers. They deliver a product that is nicely designed exactly like you requested. I’m impressed.
Their prices are reasonable considering how customizable they will go.
If you need a couch, chairs, all customized, this is the place.
Plus the delivery guys are just great.

Our experience with Milan at Rose Design could not have been any better to this point. He is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. Can’t wait to see the final product when we receive it next month!

Just customized my couch yesterday. I haven’t gotten it yet so I can’t comment on the quality but I suspect it will be outstanding. The whole process was a breeze. I customized everything and the cost was amazing. It was easily $ 4,000 less than I would have paid somewhere else and I am much happier with what I bought as it is EXACTLY what I want. Milan was great. If he isn’t an interior designer, he could be one. He was very helpful and had great ideas but was not overbearing at all. I took my mom with me. She’s not nearly as decisive as me and Milan was very patient with her and gave her a whole bunch of samples to take home. I suspect she will purchase her couch before the end of the week with Milan. Note: She has been looking for a couch for over three years!!!

Wow what a great experience. From the time we walked in and Mike helped us patiently custom-​design new couches for our vacation home, to outstanding follow-​up by both Mike and Ray, to a wonderful delivery team who were patient, thoughtful, and creative with a very difficult delivery (nearly 10-​ft couch wouldn’t fit through the front door but they eventually figured out a very creative way to get it in the house). Everything was terrific!
No sales pressure. Great quality and the couches are perfect. Wonderful communication. Custom-​designed to give you exactly what you want. Fair pricing. Early delivery (took less than a month). One of the best new furniture experiences we’ve ever had.

We bought our couch about eight months ago! I should have written this review long back. But, finally here I am giving their due credit.
After going to a few furniture stores, we couldn’t zero in on anything. Either the prices were high, or the couches weren’t all that great. My husband found about Rose Design on Unilocal.This is one of the best stores I have visited. They are so kind, helpful and patient. When we went the first time, I made it clear to the owner that we would just browse through the options. If we liked anything, we would go back home, take measurements and come back only next day to order. It didn’t seem to trouble them at all. I think it’s a father-​son duo that run the store. The father was so helpful in choosing the right fabric, wood, design etc. When we went back the next day, we were doubtful since our wall color was too similar to the fabric we were planning to get. Again, the father (owner) helped us with more options and finally we decided. He was so interactive, learned our tastes, and was engaging throughout.
As for the price, I have no regrets. He charges much lesser than the big furniture chains. All the cushion and pillow covers come with a zipper. So you don’t have to bother about them getting dirty.
At least two of our friends bought from Rose Design after us.

Purchased a creamy white sofa from Rose Design. My main concern was upkeep and was guided gently to a creamy white upholstery fabric that could be unzipped and laundered and would hold up well. I also customized it by getting an overstuffed look on the back double cushions that made the sofa look inviting. The customizing was an extra charge but worth it to me.
It has been a year and the sofa and fabric are holding up beautifully. I have thrown the upholstery fabric in the washing machine and it comes out great. Not sure of the material, but it is a hefty enough to withstand the washing machine and wear and tear of daily use. In fact, my one year old sofa with laundered upholstery, looks in better condition than the new white sofas on display in other furniture stores.
I had shopped for many months to many different stores and settled on this one which is about 45 minutes from my home. It was worth it.

Staff working hard too keep their customers happy

Excellent customer service and very kind and friendly. They are amazing in their custom built furniture. They can design and make whatever you have in your mind. I am really happy with them. I could surprise my wife in valentine day. They promised me to make it ready by valentine day and obviously they did. Fast, on time and excellent customer service. I will come back again if I need one and refer my friend too.

I learned about this place on Unilocal,and so glad I did: this is a great place to buy a sofa! They’ve got a huge selection of styles and fabrics, and have the ability to customize sizes. The best part of my experience was the customer service. I had lots of questions and wanted help narrowing down my choices, and Mike was incredibly helpful and attentive, without any of the pushiness I’ve experienced at other furniture stores. He asked good questions to learn more about the (unusual) layout of the room, my interior design taste, and fabric needs. He provided recommendations that turned out to be beautiful, practical, and a perfect fit. He really knows his stuff. And his estimated delivery date was spot-​on — I think that’s a first in all of my furniture purchases over the years!

Had a great experience with these guys. I needed a new sofa. The design choices were great, and they made recommendations on fabric without being pushy about anything. I also needed some cushions from another sofa reupholstered, and they came back matching perfectly with the rest! Definitely a great place for your sofa needs!

Look no further for a couch! You must come into the store to see for yourself!
I am so pleased with my new couch and the customer service and care I received from Rose Design! I spent all day going to several different furniture stores (basically the top 8 from Unilocal) and encountered pushy salesmen, lack of customer care, sketchy warehouses, overpriced couches with poor quality, etc. from all the other furniture stores. Rose Design was my last stop after a long day of disappointment and I am SO GLAD that I went!
Milan was incredibly helpful in helping me choose the right couch and gave me his honest and professional opinion. Mike and his cousin delivered my couch up to my 2^nd floor very carefully with no problems. The staff at Rose Design are all wonderful people and it’s obvious they are passionate and very good at what they do. They are very patient, easy to talk with, and have answers for all of your questions. I highly recommend Rose Design and what to say a HUGE thank you to Milan, Mike, and the rest of the family for their business and fantastic customer care!

Second fabulous experience with Ray and Mike at Rose Design! I felt compelled to create a Unilocal account as I had to share my experience with other furniture shoppers. I first discovered Rose Design two years ago when I was looking for a sectional couch. Ray was so helpful and made sure I was completely satisfied with my decision. I love my couch, it was customized to meet my taste and needs, high quality, comfortable and it was completely affordable. Definitely worth every penny. I just brought a friend in to see about finding a couch for his new place. It was the first and only place he shopped for a couch and he is so happy with his choice. He is just waiting for his delivery which Ray has expedited for him. I will always refer anyone I know to Rose Design and keep coming back for my furniture needs! After spending a month looking for the right size couch, I ended up going to Rose (and luckily I did because this was going to be my last place to check). I’ve always seen the big red chair they display on the sidewalk but never though much of the place. I found out a friend of mine bought her couches from here so I definitely wanted to stop by. Good thing I did because I was able to find the perfect couch that would fit PERFECTLY in my spot. Mike was very knowledgeable and went into detail and design with me where as all the other places I looked at just wanted to sell me whatever I said looked good. Mike made it work. He let me choose my own fabric and told me all about the pros and cons. best part? I got a custom couch made IN California at a fraction of the time it takes for the other stores to ORDER a fixed size couch. Four months later and my couch still looks good and is super easy to maintain thanks to Mikes recommendations. Here is what you will find at Rose:

Once again, another successful project! Seriously, give these guys a chance before you shop anywhere else. They are easy to overlook since the store is on the smaller side– even I was surprised to find such «a diamond in the rough» after searching nearly every furniture store in the area when I first started my quest four years ago. And for the record, I would consider myself an extremely picky consumer,
My latest story: I had been wanting a chaise for sometime, and had fell in love with piece while browsing Napastyle in Los Gatos, but the price tag was hefty, with a 12 week delivery time, and an out of the blue 450 surcharge, which is what really killed it for me. Feeling very disappointed, I remember how Rose Design had helped me with my sectional, desk, and mirror four years ago, so I gave them a call.
Mike immediately found a similar chaise that could be customized. After taking home some samples, I ended up choosing the Barbour walnut leather, adding studs, some different legs… and voila! I had created a masterpiece, for ½ the price of what the other guys wanted, with free delivery too! I was sold!!! When the delivery guys unwrapped the chaise in my living room (only 4 weeks later) I was amazed. Not only did I like the lines, better than the original sample, but the leather was absolutely amazing. A picture speaks 1000 words, so I added a few for your viewing pleasure. I feel like I got a steal and top notch customer service. And this is coming from someone whom used a jewelers loupe to inspect the piece… LOL. Bonus– this piece was made domestic, and the leather was specially imported from Italy. It seriously looks like a piece out of Restoration Hardware.
I was so thrilled with my new chaise, I decided to keep going with my home projects, so I emailed Milan a series of bookcase styles that I liked. Right off the bat, I picked out the exact piece I had seen on
from their Home Elegance catalog. Milan quoted me a lower price, plus free delivery. A week later, I had my new bookcase. I will tell you, I felt this was a steal for just over a couple hundred bucks. The wood is solid, the beams have beautiful lines– totally exceeded my expectations.
Meanwhile, I had seen an upholstered chair I liked in the showroom, so Mike offered to get another like one, (which was better in bis opinion) from their other location. Milan was nice enough to drop both chairs off and leave with me to decide. The pricing was right, so I ended up keeping them both, one as a new desk chair and the other for my bedroom.
And I am not done yet– I found a super cool wine barrel style table in one of their new catalog.
Summary:
*Service*-Mike, Milan, and their father are all super knowledgeable, polite, and willing to work with you on any project. After my chaise arrived, I had stated on the phone that I thought the leather looked different than the sample, so Mike brought the leather sample by my house after work and took some time to explain how the graining pattern is different in every piece. Now that is service for real! Serious props for that!
* Pricing*- they will be straight with you on pricing and make a fair profit margin, not like you would think. Trust me, I saw the invoice.
-*Selection* Ok, I know they don’t always have what I want in their showroom, but they can order anything you want, which is great for creative types like me. And they have never left me stuck with anything that I didn’t like, and I trust if something turned out wrong, they would take care of me. They are also working on a really useful new website where you can visualize your custom couch.
*Maintenance after the fact* So, four years later, I still love my sectional design, but the fabric has not worn well. Milan has spent so much time with me on the project if figuring out what to do. The fabric was discontinued (not surprised cause its a dud), so I would have to either reupholster the whole thing (for ¾ of the original price) or do the seating cushions only (for a reasonable price) but in some complimentary material. I was in the store for probably two hours recently, and Milan was patient with me the entire time as I searched through every material book, inquired about all of the options, ect. He gave me a very honest opinion and I really appreciated the extra effort.
I hope this is useful for all of you furniture-scoper’s out there! (Well, ok, I guess you have to be a Pricescoper to appreciate my joke there… haha!)

My boyfriend and I and his family ordered some furniture form Rose design’s in-​store catalog and could not be more happy with our decision to go with Rose design. We got a few beds and coaster leather bar stools. Mike and Milad were helping us out and spend a lot of time with us making sure that we got all our needs covered with the furniture that we were choosing. These guys are super helpful, friendly and down to earth people. They are smart and work fast. We had an issue with the twin size bed, because it was so cheap, one of the panels came cracked so we had to return it (you get what you pay for). Mike took care of the whole process, it was very fast and painless:))
The prices are very reasonable and the customer service is superb!
When I get my own place I will get a custom made set from them since that’s their specialty and they have so many amazing options!

When I came by looking for a smaller bright-​colored sectional, Mike was exceptionally helpful. It’s a small showroom, but large enough to see that the furniture is high quality. All pieces are highly customizable — by size, design, and fabric, since each piece is custom made for you. Even though the prices are very reasonable to begin with, they also have lots of sales. Mike told me it would be 3 – 4 weeks until delivery, but he could rush and turn it around in 2 weeks.
I decided that I’m not yet ready for a sectional, but the right price, high quality, customization options, and wonderful customer service will certainly bring me back to this store once I am.
