A couple of weeks ago there was an Egyptian festival in Campbell and we decided to go and check it out. This was an opportunity to visit this super clean, luminous and beautiful church and heard some talks about what is to be Coptic. We even got to learn something about the accent language. Fantastic painted icons. As they said, an icon is a window to heaven. I loved that sentence and the peaceful time spent there. A lot of wood work done in there, very Egyptian style. Surrounding area is also very nice, and seems that they put a lot of care in the maintenance. Even if not for the faith, go to check the architecture.

The church has gone through an absolutely beautiful renovation. The beautiful double doors with metal grapevines welcome the visitor. A reverent interior complete with hand made wooden inlaid pews (imported from Egypt) and beautiful iconography open up into a white cross shaped church with high ceiling… allowing for beautiful acoustics during service hymn chanting.
This community also has an annual food festival fund raider (weekend before Labor Day weekend). Get your fill of Egyptian cuisine and desserts — including lamb chops, chicken kabobs, konafa (custard and crust dessert) and the hibiscus juice.
