Dr. Steven Guekguezian, known to his patients as

Dr. G., was born and raised in Montréal, Canada, and moved to

the United States to pursue his dream of becoming a dentist.

He graduated from New York University College of Dentistry

and is now practicing in San Jose, California. He was inducted

into the OKU Chapter of the National Dental Honor Society.

Membership in the OKU is limited to those dental students who

have distinguished themselves by excellence in scholarship,

while demonstrating exemplary traits of character.

Dr. G. is an active member of the American Dental Association,

the California Dental Association and the Santa Clara Dental

Society. He is also the Chair of the Website Committee of the

Santa Clara County Dental Society and is a volunteer teacher

at an Armenian School. He speaks English, French, Armenian

and basic Spanish. Dr. G. is a proud husband and father of two children.

I first met Dr. G at a networking event where he was speaking. His Star Wars themed educational presentation on oral hygiene was as intriguing as it was entertaining (fit for children and children-​at-​heart).
At my first appointment, I found Dr. G to be warm and welcoming, putting me to ease in a typically anxiety-​filled situation. He was happy to answer all of my questions and offered opinions on oral care regimes for myself and my children based on our ages, diets, and habits. His exam was thorough and OH SO gentle!
I would highly recommend Dr. G to those with a fear or distrust of dentists — he will quickly change your opinion!

«Dr. G» is a great resource. I was able to get over my fears of dentists when I visited him. Even though we all know that we need to floss, it wasn’t until Dr. G got to the bottom of the nitty gritty that I realized that occasional flossing is unacceptable. I have not skipped a day since and it’s been almost 9 months thus far. I was also made aware of possible areas to keep a lookout for cavities. I highly recommend Dr. Guekguezian.

Dr.G. is the best! Had a deep cleaning done. I am terrified of dentists in general, but he made my visit very easy, I didn’t feel anything. His expertise and friendly, easy going attitude actually makes it fun to go to the dentist! His price was also affordable. Definitely going to him for routine visits! Thanks Dr. G!!!

I can’t believe I actually like a dentist this much. Going to the dentist is definitely in my top 5 «things I don’t want to do» list.
I came to see Dr G because of his great Unilocal reviews and I’m so happy I found him.
He really made me feel comfortable and he LISTENED!
He talked to me about all of my concerns and answered every question I had.
He’s super personable and professional.

Dr. G is THE best dentist I have ever had.
I have gotten a deep cleaning, a couple fillings and a crown from him in so far this year. It has been quick, thorough, and painless seeing him. He never rushes anything and explains what he is doing in a way that I can understand what is going on. He also didnt lecture me on why my teeth were in bad shape but came up with a plan to divide and conquer and get me back to a healthy smile again.

I have been going to my dentist going on three years now and was getting good work but felt that I needed more explanation and advise on how to better improve my dental hygiene. I sought out Dr. G and from day one he really broke it down for me in a way where I could visualize what he was talking about. I just completed a deep cleaning and all throughout the process he was very informative thoughtful and has and has followed up with me several time since the treatment. Real hands on type of service!
He always tells me Don’t Chew Ice!

A couple weeks ago, I was interested in a second opinion on a painful tooth problem I have been dealing with for several years. He asked me to fill out a health history form that was extremely thorough. I could see he was interested in my overall health as well as my sore tooth. His office was clean, modern and well designed. His examination was very complete and he gave me great recommendations for proper home care. He respected the fact I already had a long time dentist and told me to let him know if the problem worsens and what options I have. I highly recommend Dr G for his ethical and professional approach !

Dr G’s is the best at what he does.
Really takes his time and not rush through the process like most other Dentist that I’ve been through in the past. Since then I’ve gone back to have my teeth bleach and additional cleaning and proud to say my teeth is looking pretty nice and clean. I highly recommend Dr G’s not only for his professional services but as a person he really knowledgeable and cares about his clients.

Best dentist ever. Unlike other dentists, he books 1 hour per patient to thoroughly exam you and provide you great advice. I had plenty of questions being the curious person I am, and he was very willing to share his knowledge on how dentistry has changed over the decades. Even if you need to drive further than a nearby dentist, you will not regret it. I’m fortunate that work is near by as I highly recommend him to everyone. Call him Dr. G.

I have been going to Dr. G for over a year now and it has been a very positive experience overall. Dr. G provides a level of service that you longer see in this day and age. He actually communicates with his clients not just in the office, but via text and email, which is a bit plus as you don’t feel like you are just Patient #3001. Recently, I had a gum infection that was really hurting my tooth/​gum and he was available within seconds of texting him to ask about my issue and I was able to schedule a appt all on a Sunday afternoon. Where else would you find this level of service?
That is just a sample of level of service that I got. Overall, very impressed and would highly recommend Dr. G to anyone.

My family and I have always had dental work done by my dad, but when we moved to California, a 3,000 mile trip for a cleaning didn’t seem too practical. When I met Dr. G, I sent my husband and kid to him first… yeah, yeah, I used my kid as the litmus test, judge me later, but it was great to see how Dr. G went from talking to an adult about oral hygiene to educating my 5-​year-​old on sugar bugs. I finally made an appointment for myself, and all I can say is that having a dentist who will crack jokes, sing along with the music, get serious when he needs to (bleeding gums is no laughing matter, after all), and encourage you to enjoy taking care of your mouth is top rated in my book!
Not only that, but he’s so personable. You feel like a friend from the moment he greets you and don’t be surprised if you get a text or an email from him just to make sure you’re doing well… Customer service AND excellent dental care — what more could you ask for?

Dr. G is by far the best dentist I have ever been too. He educates on oral health which no dentist has ever done with me before. He fitted me with a night guard that I now where nightly. I sleep better and have less headaches during the day. Dr. G is meticulous and FUNNY, which if you are afraid of the dentist, his humor will put you at ease.

I can say I’m a dentaphobe (scared of going to the dentist) Steven made everything much more comfortable than my other previous dental experiences. He made sure I understood exactly what he was doing, and why. Took his time answering questions and making sure I was comfortable with it before doing anything. Also, he took his time to make sure he did the absolute best job he could. Would highly recommend to anyone who just moved in the area (like I did) or anyone who just wants a new dentist who you can trust.

I have horrible dentist anxiety. I am so incredibly nervous that I sweat, tense up, and sometimes even cry. And when I felt one of my teeth start to ache I immediately knew that I would have to go see my dentist. #Dreading this moment.
However, Dr. G. was very patient and gentle when looking at my tooth. Even though I still had anxiety over the fact I had to go see a dentist I was relieved at how gentle and easy he was during my evaluation. He truly is a professional. Thanks Dr. G! I have slightly less anxiety when I see you now.

See Dr. ‘G’!! I haven’t a dentist for a few years and have only had cleaning from time to time. However I knew I needed to get checked. Recently, I had the fortune of meeting Dr. G through a referral group, and I finally made the trip to his office. After the initial appointment of getting x-​rays and cleaning, I scheduled another appointment to get a filling for my cavity.
At that second appointment, Dr. G made me feel comfortable despite my uneasiness of drills. I feel he did an excellent job, and I am very satisfied with his work! Highly Recommended.

Love Dr. G! I wasn’t even looking to change dentists but learned that I wasn’t being educated about proper dental care! Even though I’d been with my last dentist since I was a child and my parents still see her, Dr G helped me understand why it’s important to do certain things!
