History

Established in 1973.

Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets is the result of the 2005 union of Valet Organizers (est. 1987) and Eurodesign Ltd. (est. 1973). Valet was one of the original companies to enter what has become the closet and home organization phenomenon. Eurodesign was an early pioneer in the field of custom built-​in furniture for the home. Both companies established reputations for quality and service and became known as industry leaders for product innovation.

Larry and Audrey Fox have owned Valet since 2000 and as President, Larry is actively involved in every aspect of the company. Larry is a San Jose native and has Bay Area roots dating back over 120 years. He is supported by an exceptional team of designers, installers, engineers, shop personnel and management, many of whom have several years of experience with the company.

Larry is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Business. After receiving his degree he returned to the Bay Area and spent 18 years working in his family’s long established metals recycling business. Larry and his wife have owned Valet Custom Cabinets & Closets since 2000, and Larry remains as enthusiastic about the business today as he was when he first acquired it.

Valet did our three regular side closets, and one small one in our house in Sunnyvale. Robert was very patient with me taking time to make my choices for materials, and help a lot with great recommendations. Office made sure few times we are ok with installation date, and installing team was very prompt, and professional. great service, great products, all very smoothly done! Would always recommend to friends who are looking for same type of service.

We bought a house last year and did a complete renovation — so we needed new closet systems for 3 bedrooms. I put the job out to multiple vendors to bid, and figured I’d make my decision on a combination of cost and service. Our assigned designer /​account rep was Gia, and between their competitive pricing, and her great attitude, we opted to go with Valet. It was definitely the right decision.
Gia was very accommodating, providing material suggestions, and making quick changes to the design based on my feedback. She also helped me pick a few nice extra touches that I never would’ve thought of myself, and they’ve turned out to be super useful. The work was done quickly, and professionally, and Gia stopped by to make sure we were happy, and ensure everything was up to her standards as well.
Highly recommend Gia and the team at Valet. I’d use them again on my next project!

So far I have three closets installed by Valet. I can say with absolute confidence that Valet provides the best possible quality, care and customer service.
The last opportunity I needed Valet to create a large walk-​in-​closet that does not follow the normal square or rectangular pattern. Working again with Shari Krandel, we went over the design several times until all spaces were put to use and the closet fitted our needs — all within our budget.
When installing all of our closets we were lucky enough to have Sal as the one directing the installation. He is a great person to work with, attending to all details and making sure that quality and our satisfaction were on top of his list.
Ours have been somewhat complicated installations, yet, every time both Shari and Sal has taken control of the situations, made adjustments on the spot and provided last minute parts or materials that were needed.
I would recommend Valet for anyone that is looking for better design, better materials and better execution when installing your closets.

Gia is a wonderful designer! She made a very limited & compact space into a dream closet for me!!! I’m really happy I went with Valet for all the closets in my house. Their service and quality is impeccable. You really do get your money’s worth with them. Gia was very accommodating with our needs and budget. When Sal & Guillermo arrived for the installation, they warned us it may not be finished that day since it was a lot to install, which was fine with us. They both worked extremely hard & stayed late just to make sure all our closets were installed that day! They were both very professional & made sure to clean up after themselves at the end. Amazing service yet again! Thank you Valet for the amazing closets and service. You definitely set the bar high!

Whenever I need work done on my house, I always get recommendations from my network of friends in hopes of finding out their reviews and recommendations on specific businesses. I recently remodeled by master bedroom closets and reached out to my network. Not very often do I receive the same feedback from my network. My friends all recommended Valet Custom Cabinets since they had a great experience working with then on a variety of different project.
One of my friends referred me to Shari, a Senior Designer at Valet. I stopped in to check out the showroom to get ideas. Shari was not in, but the receptionist immediately stopped what she was doing and escorted me around the showroom. I was impressed from the beginning with the customer service and the high quality and modern style of the showroom.
Later that day, I received a call from Shari to set up an appointment to give me recommendations for my closet remodel. Since I am very busy, Shari was able to work with my schedule to help design my closet layout. She offered some great suggestions and advice on the direction I should go with the closet design.
On the installation date, the installers arrived on time and started working immediately. They were very professional, made sure to protect my personal belongings from damage, and cleaned up once the job was completed. I would highly recommend Valet Custom Closets if you are looking for custom built closets. Thanks Shari for your advice and dedication to great customer service!

Wow! I don’t think I can say enough good things about this company! They exceeded my expectations on every level. The sheer number and quality of accessories you can install was above and beyond anything other closet design companies offered. The design service and installation process were also top notch. My designer, Gia, was superb. We worked together to come up with a design that fit my needs and she did. Sal, who was in charge of installation, also did a superb job. Each of them cared about the ultimate finished product. I couldn’t be happier with my walk-​in closet. If I ever need another service that Valet offers, I will definitely use them. I won’t even look anywhere else, and you shouldn’t either. I simply don’t think they can be topped on any level. Thank you, Valet!

When I was working on getting bids for my closet it amazed me how many companies did such a poor job. Karin not only came to my house looked at what I had — figured out how I could best we organize and helped me through every step of the way. She followed up afterwards to make sure I was happy. And needless to say I love, I love my closet by valet custom closets.

Over the past four years, we have done six projects with Valet Custom. We began with the garage, then an office closet, a pantry and most recently, a walk-​in master closet, two bathroom vanities and a laundry room. The quality of the materials and workmanship is exceptional and we have been happy with ALL of the installs. I have worked with Larry Fox; he is exceptionally good at layout and a good problem solver. The design process is easy and I love that I got both 2D and 3D drawings. I am very visual and that works really well for me. The installers are professional and do an excellent job. The installers catch the little things I might miss — for a while — and remedy it before I even notice. For example two cabinet doors were about 1/​16″ different in height. They noticed and made plans to adjust the door height before I even noticed. I would highly recommend them!

Uzma was amazing in helping us create a design that would work in our the space and fit our storage/​wardrobe needs. The installation was professional and seamless, and the finished product was much more high-​end than what California Closets could offer and at the same price point.

Needed to tell the world about my experience with Karin Parodi and her colleagues at Valet Custom Cabinets. I needed to transform my home office (a small bedroom in a 50 plus year old house) into a space that would support both my office needs and my emerging art needs (think studio). Karin really listened to me and in short order provided a workable plan to do both in my small space. The installation and transformation was flawless. The quality workmanship and materials are evident. I am now totally organized and able to do my consulting and online teaching and also do studio art without missing a beat.
I highly recommend Karin and her colleagues to anyone needing to redefine the space in their homes. I have already connected her with some of our friends who are thinking of redoing their closet and their home office. You cannot go wrong with Karin and Valet Custom.

Update: I needed some adjustment after installation done, they were able to respond quickly and the crew came over on time and get the adjustment done in no time. Whole process is very efficient.
Long story short, for anyone who is looking for BOTH superior quality and SERVICE, Valet is the one to go with.
My designer Shari was able to give me the design idea and fee quote under a pressing time. I had the whole house to work on — 3 rooms and garage. Visited their showroom and worked out on the design within a few hours. Later on I decided to switch the garage work to another company who claimed to be doing the same work as Valet with a much lower price. I went back to Shari and asked for the changed, she’s nice enough to accommodate the change. Upon the installation day, the crew arrived in time, did the work carefully and quickly. The whole process is seemingless and everything is professional. Keep me informed throughout the process and always keep their words. That’s exactly what I’m looking for in a vendor as I don’t have time to chase after every single vendors in this entire house remodel process.
The other company did an ok job, I choose the same material and color and they worked out not much different from Valet’s, but the service and communication part is somewhat disappointing. And the price turned out to be not that much different. If I would do this again, I would have sticked to Valet for all work from the beginning.

Gia Busalacchi was our decorator from start to finish. She was first class. She knows her stuff and is easy to work with. Easy on the eyes too. The office/​bed/​wall-​unit system that she helped us design is really nice. Yes, if you’re looking to pay less — go elsewhere. If you understand that you get what you pay for, and you want something that you will like and that works — go to Valet Custom. Ask for Gia.

Just finished getting our custom closet system from Valet Custom Cabinets and we love it! Our sales rep Gia did a fantastic job in designing the floor plan and making use of every little bit of space. She even counted all my shoes to make sure we had sufficient shelves. It feels like a whole new room and we call it our «Clos-​Mahal» (like Taj Mahal!). We got quotes from two other companies and Valet’s prices were competitive and we’re glad we went with them. Their materials were high quality and installation went smoothly. We highly recommend them!

We are so glad that we did not stop with the first two closet companies we got designs and quotes from! One of them was very professional and did a good job within the parameters of their «system».
Then we called Valet. What a difference. Their designers have been with the company for quite a while and they custom build each design. Our designer Karin, listened to us, explored our needs and wants, then brought her experience and expertise to the design. Wow, we are so happy. We did a garage, two closets and pantry. Plus, their design studio helps you envision and touch before you commit. The designs are not only wonderfully functional, but beautiful. It makes me smile every time I walk into one!
Their installers were also a reflection of the quality of this company. They were timely, communicated well and showed fine attention to detail. Karin, our designer, came by after the install to ensure we were satisfied and happy. On top of all that, their prices are fair and competitive for the quality.
