Not the worlds most outstanding breakfast or restaurant environment, but its local and the prices are decent. I always get the veggie omelet its pretty good. The décor is atrocious and *most* the staff is super nice. I like this place but it needs a good cleaning.

Sunday lunch. Ma and Pa type place. Median age of the patrons was definitely north of 50, maybe even 60, so if you need a shot of feeling youthful, stop by and you’ll likely be called«young whipper-snapper» once or twice. Reasonable prices, seat yourself, fairly extensive menu for the genre, breakfast all day if your Saturday night was a little rough, or you just got up late. I got the Japanese chicken salad which had bag-o-lettuce iceburg/purple cabbage base with diced green pepper, crispy chow mein noodles, sliced grilled chicken breast, and to tie in the Asian theme, poppy seed dressing which seemed to be house made. It was served with pita wedges. Chicken was moist enough, but seemed totally unseasoned. It definitely needed several applications of salt and pepper to bring enough flavor to the dish. It definitely could use some seasoning TLC while being prepared, or a marinade or something. The wife had their house burger and fries. She thought the burger was quite good, and she donated a few fries to me when she reached capacity, they were fine, but unremarkable freezer to fryer fare Service was reasonably good and reasonably attentive, and cheerful, so that was all good! Michelin won’t be knocking down the doors, diamonds in hand any time soon, but that isn’t their intended market. The breakfast platters lloked pretty amazing so if you’re on the am/pm fence give breakfast a try

This review is based on three separate visits to Grayce Ann’s. The restaurant is your basic«mom and pop» style place. Very quaint, but horribly outdated not only in appearance, but also in quality. The restaurant never looks completely clean and the carpet is in poor repair. The booths are also quite ragged. Not only is the padding completely warn out, but each booth is warped in a different way so you will not be sitting comfortably. The booths on the right side of the restaurant(when you walk in) are much larger than the ones on the left though they both claim to seat 4. If you are average to a over average in size, sit on the right side or get a table. It is a «seat yourself» place so on the bright side, you won’t have to wait for a table. When it comes to the service however, you will wait, wait and wait a little longer. At one point I requested the the check after 20 minutes of waiting for a server. I even flagged a busser down to get one for us. This even failed. They are horribly unorganized in every way. The restaurant on average isn’t very busy, except on Sunday’s. Once church lets out, it can get fairly packed. Unless you’re a regular, they don’t pay much attention to you. You will have to flag a server down by frantically waving your menu in the air or by going to the bar and asking for one. The food: This is the only reason Grayce Ann’s earned a 2nd star. The food is quite tasty and the portions are generous. Your pancakes are the size of the plate, a good 10−12″ across. The bacon and sausage are quite good and juicy. Eggs are cooked to order and were appealing on appearance and quite tasty. Home fries are more like chunks of potatoes crispy on the outside and only partially cooked on the inside. They may want to work on that. Price: Extremely affordable. The average meal which includes eggs, toast, a meat, potato and drink is about $ 6.00. I will give them credit on the biscuits and gravy however. The portion is enormous and the flavor is great! And it’s under $ 6.00. In closing, if you have time to kill, and I mean a lot of it, don’t mind waiting for everything, don’t want to be checked on by a server throughout your entire meal, don’t mind sitting in an uncomfortable booth, and are satisfied with mediocre food, then stop on by! If any of this would irritate you, I suggest the McDonald’s across the street or take the extra 15 minutes and drive into Belden Village.

Best place for a good, inexpensive weekend breakfast. Staff is friendly and attentive. They also have good sandwiches and daily specials, with something for everyone on their menu. My favs are the Loaded German fries and the blueberry pancakes. This isn’t a fast food joint and frequented by locals so when busy, which is mostly on weekend mornings, you might have a bit of a wait.

This place was terrible from service to food. Went saturday around10a… wasnt very busy at all. seat yourself type of place. Picked a booth which was the most uncomfortable booth I have ever sat in.. The back of the booth actually comes forward so you actually sit awkwardly.. Then waited 12 minutes to get a coffee.. waited another 10 minutes to order, waited 20 minutes for food to arrive. During this waiting periof never once did the waitress come back and refill our coffees. So 42 minutes later the breakfast special I ordered arrived(county fried steak, eaggs over medium, grits, and wheat toast) which should be a simple task for a breakfast joint. However, the grits were the worst I have ever tasted. definately came from a box. The eggs cooked perfectly, wheat toast prepared well, the country fried steak was horrid… definately a previously frozen piece of meat. so to sum it up order eggs and toast if you choose to give your money to these people. So… never once was our coffee refilled and we didnt see our waitress untill I asked another staff member if we could get our check. she came and we asked for coffee to go… 15 minutes later she came back and brought the check with no coffee. . You know what. you get the point.. Go at your own risk

Not much to look at from outside, but the locals regularly frequent. Plenty of seating inside and staff Very friendly and eficient. Number of sandwiches on the menu, good choices for breakfast, and also has dinner selections. Prices very reasonable.
