Wegmans

I was a daily shopper at this wegmans store for over 10 years & it used to be great but in the last 2 years it’s gone down the toilet! They cheap out on ALL the food now, but it’s still high prices. The bakery is pathetic… they used to have a really great pastry selection that was fresh but now there’s just 50 different kinds of cookies… seriously?! The bagels arnt fresh anymore either. The «hot food» section is totally disgusting… here’s a hint, if u can’t figure out how to make fish, macaroni or ribs, just don’t bother. Anyone from the south would be insulted by this garbage. Seriously all the food is just disgusting & disappointing now. They replaced great things like pastries, fresh bagels & calzones with boiled «ribs» & a salad bar. I bought cotton candy that’s by the register one time & when I opened it on the car ride home, there was a thick layer of mold on the top. I was willing to pay the higher wegmans prices because they had unique & fresh quality food that was worth the extra money… but I’m not going to pay high prices for stupid cookies & undercooked tasteless food. Even the fish fries are gross now. Stop remodeling the patio & bring back the quality!!! Until then, I’m not shopping at wegmans anymore! I haven’t been back for almost 2 years because of all this. Whoever’s managing this store has completely ruined it now!!!

Best grocery store ever. Period.

Wegmans has everything I could ever want & need. I love their food bars, they have the produce I look for, their advice at the fish & meat & deli counters is always helpful, the store is clean & well stocked, good greeting card selection, dedicated pharmacists, I could go on forever. Their bakery isn’t the best in town but as a grocery store they are practically perfect!

Who doesn’t love Wegmans? They can be a bit pricey at times. However, I prefer spending a little extra and having AMAZING customer service over saving a few dollars and deal with rude employees from Walmart/​tops. Everyone here is always pleasant and helpful. Anything from the bakery/​prepared food sections is great. Store is always clean. Great company!

Wow, what a grocery store. Huge. A lot of fresh food you could package yourself and pay by the pound. About everything you could think of.
Could not get over the size. Kinda like a Whole Foods on steroids.
Before we shopped we ate at their café’. Big selection of foods with a cool patio to sit in.
Never spent a couple of hours at a grocery store before.

Back in the area after having been gone several years although Wegmans is still outstanding value is questionable when looking at price

Wegmans is the grocery store I have ever seen. Friendly staff, fresh produce, and very clean.

I love the store but I know someone here so I guess the company thinks that I am trying to distract this person and I am going to be possibly told to only come sometimes I spend my money here I don’t just come here to hang with someone I come here to spend money and just relax. And if they start to tell me I can’t come more than once a day then they can stuff it

Normally I write lengthy reviews but… It’s WEGMANS! What more is there to say, than it is simply amazing in all aspects?

My boyfriend and his family turned me on to this incredible grocery store when we visited his family in upstate New York. I was so pleased to find out there was a Wegmans back home, and now I hate shopping anywhere else for my groceries! Wegmans is the ultimate food-​shopping experience. The food selection is remarkable. There are so many prepared meals, antipastos, breads, meats and cheeses to choose from. We love eating at the Wegmans’ food café before we start shopping. The food buffet is delicious and reasonably priced, and I can even get a fresh organic latte made by a barista to enjoy with my meal. I love that Wegmans has reasonably priced store-​brand organic produce, and it is so easy to find. Shopping at this store is a breeze!

I love this Wegmans! Service is great, the food supply is great. They always have an unlimited amount of everything. And their sushi and hot food buffet. Mmmmm! I also love that they have a huge restaurant style seating area that continues on to the outdoor patio. It’s beautiful! I like to bring my school stuff to study sometimes. Everyone there is just so inviting and friendly! Even the girl at the coffee shop made me the best italian cappuccino i’ve ever had!

This review applies to any and all Wegmans stores. They are so awesome. I have grown up with Wegmans being THE grocery store we shop at. I thought this is the way all of them were. Not true. I moved to Connecticut for college and have stayed there since. We have Stop and Shop, Big Y, and every once in a while you come across a Whole Foods. I would take Wegmans over them any day. The selection of products they have is much better and bigger than Stop and Shop and Big Y. The quality of produce and foods that they have is like Whole Foods, but much cheaper. You can also sit down and have your lunch before taking on the daunting task of shopping. Pizza, subs, sushi… they have everything! Also like Whole Foods, but also cheaper. I have recently returned home to find that they have an amazingly impressive selection of beers, more specifically craft beers. There is a whole cooler display of full of single bottles of several different types of beer (at least 60 in the one I was at). You can pick whatever you want to make your own 6 pack. The selection they have is more impressive than most package stores I’ve been to in Connecticut. If you have a Wegmans be thankful. If you don’t have one but see one in your travels you must stop! It is a store like no other!

This Wegmans is amazing. We hired them to do all the flowers for my wedding in May 2013 at a local winery. They did an amazing job. Their initial quote was very reasonable and they did not stray from it. The flowers were of the highest quality and they did everything they could to help me cut costs by suggesting inexpensive flowers. I was blown away when my wedding day came. We got so many compliments about the flowers. Don’t go to an overpriced florist when you can utilize the staff at Wegmans. We worked very closely with Lisa and she was absolutely fabulous.

I never really appreciated Wegmans until I left upstate NY and headed south again. To have this close by is a treat and always make a effort to stop in and browse when visiting the area, even when not buying anything. Wegmans knows how to do grocery and is super clean, has excotic fruits that I never heard of and the service is great. I found it extremely cool they sell fresh cooked food for lunch and so many various cheeses and it is almost a place you can spend a entire afternoon. We now have Kroger in the south who is trying their best to copy Wegmans style but will never compare. Love this place!

Wegmans is Mozart. Whole Foods is Salieri.

LOVE that in the middle of the country sticks that this place is open 24 HOURS!!! No offense to country sticks folk or anything but coming from NYC, where things are pretty accessible 24/​7, it’s a shocker that other areas of upstate NY are catching onto to the 24 hr thing :) But I Like it dammit!
Not a big fan of shopping here between 12pm — 2pm though because it’s a mad house but still it’s worth it.
They also have a great organic section as well as a market café area where you can stay and eat or take out the yummy prepared goodness.
The Wegmans brand products are also very good and a pretty much a damn great value (dude 1 lbs. of butter is 1.99!!!)
Everything here is fresh and the store is kept immaculate! And I’ve never had any issues with the staff here either which in itself is AWESOME!

Wow! I wish we had a Wegman’s near us. I think this is the most fun supermarket I’ve ever visited. We had lunch there!
Food displayed nicely everywhere. Lots of prepared choices including vegetarian. Average prices. Very organized and clean.
More fun than Whole Foods and that is saying a lot.

Of course I love Wegman’s. I’m another typical native who’s love affair with the Wegman’s chain borders on psychotic.
I love everything about the stores and my appreciation for what Wegman’s has to offer has only been heightened by having lived in Manhattan for the past nine years.
I love being able to come home to Canandaigua and have access to specialty foods that no other local business can provide. Quality caviar from Caviar Russe is just one example. I used to bring it hone with me but now ICANN order it and not stress about it «keeping» during the drive.
The stores are always clean and the quality of everything is very high. My only caveat is that their sushi is really not good, but I rarely find good sushi outside of New York and San Francisco so I won’t award demerits.
With Wegman’s expansion I am now able to get the same local brands in the city because they have several stores now in metro New Jersey and not even Whole Foods, Citarella or Balducchi’s can hold a candle to Heluva Good dip and Zweigle’s hots!!!

Before you disregard this review as «just another Wegmans-​lover», bear with me. I actually had my wedding flowers done at Wegmans. Wanda, the floral dept head, is a former Sonnenberg Gardens staffer, so she KNOWS her stuff. I wanted something that was different and not totally traditional for my wedding, and she did an amazing job.
We were having an outdoor wedding, so we were looking for something bright, fresh and natural-​looking. I really dislike super traditional «done» looking flowers; they don’t look like flowers to me. The bouquets she did were made to look like freshly picked wildflowers (I wanted sunflowers and lavender), and really were amazing! She was even able to add in lavender that was grown in my Mom’s garden. Awesome. Since my husband is Scottish, and all of the groomsmen were wearing kilts, we also wanted to do boutonnieres that had thistle (the flower of Scotland). Wanda didn’t even bat an eye. Double awesome.
For the specialized arrangements that she provided us and the VERY competitive price, I have to say that I would recommend Wegmans floral to anyone who needs flowers for a big event. Two thumbs WAY up.
