My family and I had owner Phyllis Olin help us plan for a bereavement luncheon following our mother’s funeral. We could not have been more pleased by the menu, the seating for 40+ guests and the terrific service. Additionally, their pastry chef daughter make the dessert that was perfection. I would happily recommend Angenettas for any catering or on premises group event. Thank you for caring for all of our needs that day.

Great food, but mediocre service… I had heard via word of mouth that this place has excellent food. I am pleased to say this observation is accurate. They have a large menu with lots of delicious offerings. I ordered the chicken salad with grilled buffalo chicken. It was great — a nice size portion, lots of toppings, and plenty of chicken. Prices are very reasonable for the portions. The ambiance is fairly causal. We went for nice lunch. The only issue I had with the dining experience was the service. It was a tad slow for my liking. We were in no hurry, but ordering and serving our meals took a while. Oh well… They have carry out! Ange Netta’s is conveniently located in front of Canfield High School. They also have a decent size parking lot. It’s definitely worth trying if you are in the area or looking for somewhere low key off the high traffic 224 dining locations.

I must say I’m disappointed by the prior reviews. My boss and I were in town for work and after reading the reviews fully expected a good meal with all sorts of service rudeness/craziness or some kind of staff meltdown. Alas, it was not to be. The service was great. Our waitress was on the ball and made sure to replenish out beers as needed. The food came out promptly. Four stars for service. The fried cheese was good. I have never seen fried mozzarella in block form before. The rest of the food was pretty good although the Marsala sauce is more watery than I would prefer. The chocolate caramelo cheesecake is REALLY good.

The food is to die for but, I advise you order carry out and pray a server is at the register when you arrive. The owners are nasty rude people and make it clear customers(unless close family or friends) are a burden to them, the customer is never correct in their opinion and the employees all look like they’re miserable, the cooks are spot on unless you order steak expect it underdone, or chef Tony is cooking, if you don’t like your food how he made it don’t ask it to be fixed he will make it a point to argue with you, make you a specticle in his resturant and you’ll still pay for an unsatisfying meal. Also be prepared for several servers to have to deliver your parties food one dish at a time none of them are skillfully inclined to serve independently. They treat my family like dirt, don’t even acknowledge good paying customers who went there 2 times a week and spent hard earned money. Theyll be losing a lot of money from thier poor attitudes alone.

Service is the worst. The cook never wants to make Chicken francaise. We have been their 5 – 6 times in the last few months and ever time the say they are out of that dish. It is my wife’s favorite and we make a special trip just for that. The last time you could hear the cook complaining about making the Chicken Francaise. We had to get up and leave because I was afraid of what he would do to our food if he had to make that dish. I think the food is good but it is sad that the owners let him put their customers through this situation.

Never again! The worst customer service I have seen in a while. And what the hell is going on in the kitchen? Do you make one dish at a time? App and sandwiches come out at the same time — 40 mins later!!! When asked how lunch was, we replied«just ok», and she, I think it’s the grandmother, didn’t care one bit why it was«just ok». Also told her the photos were getting out of hand and she called us ignorant. Way to show customer service. We will NEVER go back and I’ll be sure to tell everyone why, and I know a lot of people, especially in Canfield.

Enjoyed dinner here last Thursday 04-16-2015 with two business associates. Food was really good, quick, and hot. We ordered various entrees, a couple of appetizers, and desserts. Even the rice pudding was good! Our server was well versed in the menu and made several recommendations for entrees — she was right on. We had a great dinner at a fair price …

Wish I could give it half of a star. Terrible, gossipy waitresses who talk LOUDLY about their weekend exploits. Nobody wants to hear that. Deplorable.

By far, the best place to eat in Canfield/Youngstown. Took my Girlfriend there a week ago and we absolutely loved the food and atmosphere. Highly recommend saving room for deserts.

The food is pretty good, the atmosphere is a bit lacking, but the dessert makes up for everything! If you are a chocolate and caramel lover(like I am) then you have to try their Carmelo cheesecake. To die for!

Let’s say you wanted to have a great restaurant. What would you need? I won’t keep you in suspense, because this place is the real deal. EVERYTHING they serve is excellent; not just very good. The prices are very reasonable. The staff is friendly and never intrusive. The owners, the Olins, made a splash about 20 years ago with The Emerald Diner in Hubbard(about 10 miles northeast) which set a new standard for how great a little diner could be. They sold that place a while back, and this place in Canfield is more upscale but still casual, and they improved on it. The cuisine is well-balanced, American fare, leaning sometimes towards Italian. Everything on the menu is done right; there are no weak spots that I’ve encountered with anyone I’ve dined with here. Tony Olin proves that you can be an honest, hardworking chef, restaurant owner and manager, delivering a super experience with a kitchen staff that only does right. If his prices were twice what they are, the food would still be delicious and of top quality — so why not keep the prices great if difficult-to-believe? Oh, and by the way, they have a great bakery. And a decent wine list. And they do catering, and they do it all the time. It’s difficult to resist going to Angenetta’s for a meal whenever I am in Canfield, because the place just is THATGOOD. You can satisfy everyone with the offerings: delicious, huge hamburgers; garlicky Italian greens; a Bolognese sauce that rivals any grandmother’s(yes, including yours); chicken, steak, seafood… like I said, everything they make is really THATGOOD.
