I have been a patient of Dr. Sam for the last 20 years. Before I started seeing her no Dr. could perfect the prescription for my contact lenses. Since I am nearsighted, farsighted and have two astigmatisms my contacts had to correct several problems with my eyes.
Dr. Sam has been the only one who has got the prescription right with a mono lens.
Her infectious laugh and joyful personality does not over shadow her professionalism and attention to detail in examining my eyes.
The office staff is fantastic and always know what my insurance covers and is always happy to help. I have never waited over 15 minutes in her office even when I had an eye emergency. Overall this is the best optometrist I have ever been to and I have been wearing glasses and contacts for 50 years.

Went here with my wife for our yearly exam and to get some new driving glasses. The staff is super friendly and we got in to see the doc promptly. A previous reviewer made assumptions of uncleanliness, but we saw nothing of the sort. The equipment and the entire office was perfectly tidy and clean.

BEWARE! This office is just out to get your $$$… VSP states that you get a 15% discount on a contact lens exam if you had a regular eye exam less than 12months prior. I had 9months in between mine. When I first called to make the appointment, I was told the exam was $ 175. When I got the bill after the exam, I called and asked about the discount. Pauline said the discount was already applied and $ 175 was the cost after discount. When I asked her how much it was before discount… SHE PUT ME ON HOLD! That means she needed to calculate how much was 175 + 15%… LAME!
Besides that, I had to wait 15minutes before being led to the exam room where I waited another 10minutes before seeing Dr. Bhutani. She didn’t clean the equipment beforehand, nor was there any paper to absorb any oils from patients’ face. Yuck.
If you can, go to Attitude Optometry in Studio City. I had a great experience there, however they don’t accept VSP :(
