Performance Plus

My dad’s Porsche had some mechanical issues and needed some parts to be replaced and fixed. I took it here to Performance Plus and they gave me the best deal I could find! They were fast, efficient, and most of all thorough. The staff there were very kind and helped me and my dad figure out all the details without any hassle. I will definitely come back here again if and when my dad’s Porsche needs some more servicing.

These guys are really good and take good care of their customers. I first came in 4 years ago because I burned out my clutch in my Mini Cooper. They did a good job and have been returning there since getting tune ups, brake work, turbo induction services, A/​C system, coolant system, and oil changes. I’ve usually dealt with Vic and he always makes sure you understand how your car functions and the impact of specific issues the discover and their recommend resolutions. They also a customer loyalty program. It’s about a 5% return but it adds up fast. I’ll get work done and come back a month or two later to get an oil change with stacked up loyalty rewards.

I am a new Porsche owner, I have some mechanical background. I was driving by one day and decided to stop and get some information as I needed servicing … Vic was amazing took the time going over things snd explaining what needs to be done… He serviced my car today … Did great job … On time … Very reasonable pricing …

We needed a new battery for our BMW and I called and spoke with approximately 5 different auto centers as well as speaking with the dealer. Different stories, different approaches, and different experiences given the research my husband read about online from different BMW owners. This is the one shop that is consistent with the dealer that registers and reprograms the specialized Bosch (best kind, vs Interstate, etc.) according to BMW standards. Unless you go this route, you risk the system not working properly or optimally which could backfire either short or long term. We did not want to take that chance. It is not cheap, like any BMW service it seems, but it’s much less than the dealer. I have to add, that speaking with these guys (Vic, Kevin, and Andrew as well), they set them selves apart from the other phone calls and experiences I’ve had with auto service centers. They are professional, down to earth, and seem very honest. I would highly recommend them and plan to use them in the future, even though they are a bit of a distance from where I live. Especially for BMW service — they don’t take short cuts!
Oh — and one more thing, like that they ordered the part in anticipation of our coming, not just confirmation. When I called to say we were coming and get the part, they already had it there waiting:)

Great work! Fixed my BMW X3! Ask for Joe — they did a great job and took care of my car.

I just relocated back to Southern California and found a car I was interested in buying. However, before making the purchase I brought the car into Performance Plus to have them conduct a pre-​purchase inspection. Based from the great reviews on Unilocal and a family member recommended them, I was confident about bringing the car in. Joe, the owner, is very friendly and kept me informed of his findings of the car. I had some knowledge of some of the things already wrong with the vehicle so I was glad to get them confirmed by him. He also provided me with a printout/​report of what he looked at and its condition. He also prioritized what things were needed to be fixed which was extremely helpful. to know. Based on my first experience at Performance Plus, not only did I buy the car but I also found myself a great shop.

I can’t say enough good things about this place. From the moment I walked in they were extremely friendly and helpful. What I liked most was how they kept me in the loop throughout the process. I knew exactly what was being done to my car, and it was done when they said it would be. I had several things that needed repaired, and they took care of all of it in 48 hours. Joe was the best, and personable. I most certainly will be back if my car goes out on me again!

It’s hard to find a reliable mechanic you can trust. Performance Plus came highly recommended by a family a member, and they haven’t disappointed! Joe and Andrew are both down to earth, extremely knowledgeable, very professional, and totally fair. We bring both of our Acuras (100+k miles) to Performance Plus and we plan to drive them another 100k miles. They do everything from brakes and routine maintenance to oil changes and repairs (dead door locks, etc.).

I have been bringing my Porsche’s (911 — 914) to Performance Plus for more than 15 years. I was so glad to get away from the Porsche dealer down the street.
I have had major repairs, normal maintenance, minor repairs, valve adjustments, brake jobs. Everything was excellent at a reasonable price.

I was recommended to Performance Plus years ago and they have always been top notch. The former owner Mark was wonderful to deal with and Joe and Kevin are just as fabulous. Have been bringing 4 cars to them over the years, recommended them to many friends who are happy and if you go there you will be extremely satisfied also. They are honest and do not over sell and the people they have recommended to me have been just like them. Take your car in and you won’t be disappointed!!!

extremely disappointed! i had to bring my bmw in 5 times within one month for a simple brake job that continuously squeaked! to rip me off even more they recommended that i replace my back brakes which was not the problem! within 2 days the squealing began again! i threatened to report their shop the the bar which then resulted in them giving me a refund for my front brakes (denied to even consider the back brakes!) i then brought my car to a reputable mechanic who quoted me half the price that they charged me for the full job! never will i recommend and please new customers do not waste your time!

Not recommended for BMW owners. I have had my BMW serviced here twice already due to the check engine light without any resolution. The first time it was for a pump replacement and the engine light never came off, set me back 7 bills. I was instructed to drive the car and bring it back for SMOG. When i brought the car back it was the temperature valve and a faulty fuse which caused the pump to go bad again. They replaced the pump under warranty but the valve and the fuses set me back another 6 bills but whatever it takes to get that check engine light taken cared of right? Well 2 days later, light flashes back on. brought it back and now they’re saying its a fuel sensor?! Seriously, I’m not a mechanic but if they really had the proper equipments for a BMW shouldn’t they be able to tell all codes when diagnosing the vehicle?! I just feel nickel and dimed and the best part is I get a post card for every visit. I have a collection of very expensive post cards from Performance plus but no resolution to my car.

These guys were great! Friendly, clean and honest. They completed my vehicle on time with no extra charges. I have recently had some horrible experiences with mechanics and these guys were a refreshing change of pace. I finally found someone I can trust. Thanks guys!

I can not say enough praise for these guys. If you have an old porsche then Jimmy is your guy. They have taken care of my old porsche to the point that I had the confidence to buy another. They service a couple friends Audis and have done work on my old BMW as well. Really awesome shop with a great crew. Check them out and see for yourself.

The good folks at Performance Plus are exceptional. I wouldn’t take my car anywhere else. Joe runs a great shop and everyone here is excellent at their job. If you find yourself in need of repair work and you’re in the Valley, go to Performance Plus.

No one wants to have to «fix up the car,» but I have had a great experience with Kevin and Jim the Mechanic for several years. Their work is four star and the entire group (Kevin, Jim and Andrew) are all helpful and friendly. If you HAVE to get your Porsche repaired I highly recommend them! It’s not rocket science that if you own a Porsche or European Car and you need to repair your car, you should go to the best… Performance Plus. I bring both my 911 and 996 to them.

I’d like to recommend to you, Performance Plus, as an auto maintenance solution. I never thought I’d be so excited about an auto mechanic shop, but I genuinely am. After a few dubious service recommendations from the dealerships that «once serviced» my car and my wife’s (I won’t mention that those dealerships were Vista Lexus in Woodland Hills, and Keys Honda in Woodland Hills) I decided to look for another auto maintenance solution. I used Unilocal and Performance Plus came highly recommended, albeit with only three recommendations at that time.
I, however, can tell you they were right about the place, in terms of service, honesty and cleanliness. My experience with Performance Plus started out with the owner confirming the services recommended by the dealerships were not necessary. The owner could have confirmed the recommended services, undercut the dealership prices and won the service. Instead, he didn’t. To top it off, the price of the maintenance services that he did perform was half of what I was used to paying. When I asked the owner to look at something that I thought was wrong, he didn’t charge me; I would have had to pay $ 100 for an inspection at the dealership. I don’t want to set any precedence and create any expectations, except for you to know that I think you’ll find their work and prices to be honest. You just have to check this place out to see how great their service really is.
