These chocolates are delicious! Old fashioned simple flavors — not overly sophisticated like many of today’s fancy chocolate shops. My personal favorites are the chocolate covered marshmallows — both dark and milk! Perfect treat!!! Also like he chocolate covered mints…

I’m not as dedicated a fan of Heggy’s chocolates as many of the other reviewers. In fact, I would dare say they’re not even in my top 5 list. However, I really like this store, for a number of reasons: 1) It’s open late 2) Each candy is labeled with its ingredients, which is quite useful for allergies, etc. 3) It’s neat to see the workers package the candy from big trays of chocolates right in front of you 4) It’s cheaper than Philadelphia Candies or Daffin’s

Every time I am in town I have to get at least 1 pound of candy for myself and another pound to share. My favorite are the maple creams and my wife’s favorite are the cream clusters.

I was introduced to Heggy’s by my in-laws — these things disappear like lightning once they’re bought, so I don’t think I even saw them the first few times they appeared at a holiday party. Now my parents(in California!) get a box for Christmas, and you wouldn’t believe how fast they go through a two pound box! This is definitely worth a drop-in if you’re ANYwhere close.

Visiting my parents recently, I was reminded of the BESTCANDYEVER! They had received a box from someone and I got a few of the remains… You can order online or via telephone. They are the BEST!

Absolutely the best chocolates to be found. They are my «go to» gift for every occasion.

So, I stumbled upon this place when I was visiting the Pro Football Hall of Fame a few years ago. There is nothing open in downtown Canton except this place. It is very sad. Two miles up the road are several strip malls with all the cheap national chains, which has left downtown Canton almost completely vacant. It was a surreal experience driving through the downtown part of a historic city and seeing block after block of empty store fronts. This place was the only thing open, so I stopped in, and my life hasn’t been the same since! They make all their own chocolates and caramels! They also roast their own nuts. So now, every winter I order several(.lbs) boxes of chocolates. I used to get a variety, but lately I’ve settled on Chocolate Covered Salted Spanish Peanuts. Because, they are just the best thing I’ve ever eaten! It’s reminds me of a Peanut Buster Parfait from DQ, but better. I usually order 4 – 5 pounds of them and I personally have made myself sick by eating almost a pound of Milk Chocolate Coated Peanuts. Don’t leave them laying around, they are very Addictive! Anyway, Ben Heggy’s is a little company that has been in business since 1923. Nowadays, they don’t get much foot traffic, so most of their business is online, and it’s all good. Their chocolate is like nothing I can describe because they handmade their own. It’s The Best! Better than Hershey’s, Mars, Godiva, etc… — Hand Made! So order a few pounds of «Milk Chocolate Coated Peanuts» and you will be hooked like I am. If you love chocolate and nuts, then you owe it to yourself to try this place.

OMG Heggys… how I have missed you! I remember getting these candys whenever I would go see my grandparents and they would send a 2lb box every year of the jersey creams and french mints(back when we were all still civil). I haven’t had these in YEARS and for some reason thought about them this year and wanted to order… and yes they were online! They stated to allow 4 – 5 days to process, so I started thinking I was too slow in ordering. I just ordered this Tuesday, paid for 2 day shipping… and they just arrived in my hands! All wrapped and pretty… and oh so freaking yummy. Just how I remembered… no maybe even better since it’s been so long: D
