History

Established in 1985.

Donna and Joe Napolitano worked in the 70’s for a fortune 500 solar energy company in Michigan. After rebates and energy prices dropped most solar companies closed their doors. Donna and Joe opened their own doors, bought up orphaned customer lists and continued servicing and keeping up with innovative and quality products keeping customers happy and running. They added high efficiency furnace, air conditioners, duct cleaning and air purifiers to their services a few years later to provide complete home comfort services.

75% of Mechanical Energy Systems Inc. (MES) business comes from repeat customers and referrals and that list is growing. MES is expanding, working with homeowners, businesses, schools, churches and condominium complexes who understand the value of free solar energy over time to maintain a comfortable and independent lifestyle and free up unnecessary expenses that can be used for other purposes.

Business Owner

Donna Napolitano, Owner and co-​founder of Mechanical Energy Systems, Inc. has been a primary mover and promoter of alternative energy systems in the state of Michigan, since 1982.

Winner of the 2011 Business Leader Award from the MI Green Team and respected in her field, Donna is a highly sought speaker at renewable energy events and has appeared at conferences throughout the United States. Donna has also appeared on multiple television programs and can often be heard over the airwaves promoting the virtues of solar energy particular to the Midwest. Donna was recently interviewed on the Glen Haege Master Handyman radio show.

Donna and her husband Joe have installed and serviced thousands of solar electric and thermal systems and are growing distributors and trainers of solar applications in Michigan.
