Morello’s Pizza

Unfortunately Joe Morello passed away July 23, 2015. The shop is closed and there is no news if someone in the family will reopen it. Joe’s pizzas were wonderful. He will be missed.

The first time I called in I thought the owner sounded overly cocky and was rude. I was unimpressed and cancelled my order, but after reading the reviews I still wanted to try it for some reason.
After the reviews I continued to read I decided to give them another shot. I ordered a 15″ rustic red. I have never had a better pizza in my life. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone. I could not do them enough justice in this review, but I highly suggest trying this little carry out place.

Hands down the best pizza in Canton, Ohio. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good pie! My favorite is the Big Joe!

Based on recommendations from our buddies on Facebook we decided to try Morello’s a few days ago. We got an 11″ Rustic Red. We met Morello for a minute and I was impressed with his sincerity and confidence. So we got home and what did we find?
One of the tastiest and most flavorful pizza I’ve ever experienced. The combinations of textures and spices was both novel and wonderful! The crust is one of the best ever, perfect thickness, great flavor. The sauce was spicy, the toppings all combined to make me think I was eating something new and great.
I think Big Joe doesn’t make pizzas — he makes fabulous gastronomical experiences. Is he an artist? Maybe. Will I be back? I’m hoping today! Oh last, We two could not begin to finish an 11″ pizza. The sizes are very generous.

Done in 15 minutes our two pizzas were extremely large and filling. The crust had a great crunchy/​chewy/​soft mix and rested on a bed of yum herbs. The «Danny K» was my first piece and I was in heaven! Not your traditional but to die for. The «Pepperoni/​Mushroom» which is usually my favorite was just okay. The sauce tasted a bit tomato-​pastey and I would have paid more for fresh mushrooms if that had been an option. Five of us only finished the equivalent of one pizza so we are going to throw them in the oven for a ‘re-​run. Price-​Not bad! You get what you pay for.

Great pizza! Sauce is delicious, they put plenty of toppings and cheese on the pie. Will definitely be back.

If you want the best pizza you’ve ever had then this is the place! Big joe makes every pizza fresh with good ingredients and pure love! If you can’t decide on one of the crazy good pizzas choose the que vadis!
