This diner is located a few minutes from Highway 40 and is definitely worth it. The staff was warm and welcoming, attentive with refills while taking the time to recommend dishes(e.g. «We carve the meat for the Rubens here»). One person had a feta cheese and spinach omelet(light as a feather), another the marinated chicken gyro with a delicious Greek salad side and I tried the Reuben. All were delicious and generous portions. Enjoy!

This diner is in town, right«down the mountain» from us. It took us a while to try this place(we’re here about a year and a half). The diner is so clean, and the staff is very friendly. We’ve only done breakfast so far, but we’ve been pleased. The french toast is very good. Eggs and bacon are usually great though sometimes, the eggs can be over cooked — just an fyi. There’s an ice cream shop incorporated into the diner. I haven’t tried it yet, but I noticed they make chocolate malts. I will definitely be back!

My wife & I thought we would venture to Canton, NC to try a little local breakfast diner. Breakfast was ok but we actually had to wait forever to get served… maybe 15 minutes and then it took 1 hour to get our food and the place was not busy.

Had such a lovely breakfast here with my family. We all traveled to town from across the country for my sister’s 30th birthday. We grew up in Jersey and know diners better than anyone and this rivaled some of the best places from up north. Delicious omelets, thick fluffy toast, awesome pancakes and seriously great service. We loved Sharon! Best server — ask for her!

If you want to know where to eat in a particular town just follow EMS or fire departments. You will find both at Papertown Grill every morning. I know this because I work EMS and when I work the east end my partner and I always eat breakfast there. Friday night fish special is good too. Very good meatloaf also, the best I’ve had at a restaurant. Doesn’t look like much but give it a try

Nothing beats the $ 5 mountain breakfast. You get two eggs plus sausage or bacon plus hashbrowns plus biscuit or toast plus pancakes or waffles. Unbelievable! Delicious!

I honestly wasn’t expecting much outside of generic, cheap diner food when we sat down. I immediately noticed that the restaurant wasn’t just clean, it was IMMACULATE. The menu is pleasantly varied, and our waitress was so, so sweet. All three of us ordered cheese burgers. I honestly wish at least one of us wanted something else, just to have experienced a bit more of the menu. The burgers were simple, yet incredible. Most places will throw everything in the spice cabinet at a burger patty before cooking it. These simply tasted like a well seasoned grill. Absolutely perfect. I ordered chili cheese fries as my side. The chili closely resembled Cincinnati chili(very thick, meaty texture, almost sweet, bean-less) and I could not have been happier about it. The fries alone are just standard, frozen fries, but the chili and cheese really transforms them into something to be excited about. My husband had to move his fried okra out of my reach. Clearly fresh, cooked to absolute perfection, just like my grandmother used to make. There’s also the dairy bar and the fact that you can get breakfast any time you want. I am so, SO happy about this place.

I stopped in this quaint locals restaurant during a trip to Western NC. I was pleased with the friendly service. The interior is clean and very pleasantly decorated. The food is delicious! You’re sure to find some of your favorites here, prepared with a home cooking feel. Convenient hours; 7 am til 9 pm M — S and 7 am til 3 pm Sun. I enjoyed chatting with locals about this historic paper mill town.
