I love this place! It reminds me of Chipotle — only comfort food. The recent addition of Pork and Sauerkraut was exciting and I was not disappointed. My granddaughter loved the Ham that they have added to the menu too!

My family and I have been eating at this place for 5 years. Delicious food. Juicy turkey. Try the turkey nuggets, they are amazing. I suggest the «bowl» which is your choice of 3 sides, a meat, and gravy all together in one bowl. The best comfort food around canton!

I think I was a little weirded out by this place. It is cafeteria style where the workers actually dish up your plate based on choices that you make. You have a choice of turkey or roast beef. The meat is all removed from the bone and sits in a large serving pan. In the case of both the turkey and the beef it has the texture of pulled pork. Tongs are used to pile it on your plate. The turkey appeared to be all white meat. I went the traditional route and requested turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing-​all with gravy-​and corn. The rolls and drinks came with dinner. The eating area was nondescript and despite an obviously more charming choice, there is no attempt to replicate a comfortable homelike setting. This is not grandma’s house! The food was served on a plastic plate with smallish controlled servings. Both the potatoes and corn were just warm but the meat and stuffing were hot. The flavors were quite traditional and overall it was okay.

My family, boyfriend, and I actually went to TGD on Thanksgiving last year to meet a couple of family friends. I had never been there and wasn’t sure what to expect, so I dressed pretty nicely (which is hilarious because it turns out the place is extremely informal). The food is great! I really didn’t expect it to be, because it’s served cafeteria style and the dining room is small/​unappealing. I was wrong! My boyfriend is a picky eater and is also from the South (has high standards for this type of cooking), but he absolutely loves their food! He actually had to go back and order more the next day. It’s sort of a joke between us now. I’ll definitely be back.

This is THE place to experience home cooking away from grandma’s house. I usually get the amazing turkey dinner with creamy mashed potatoes and gravy, and buttery green beans, but they don’t have a bad meal. Consistently great!

A great option for families or anyone looking for homemade food at a great price! Try the turkey nuggets, they are the best! They also offer a family meal that is perfect for easy holiday entertaining.

I went in for the first time on Veterans Day and was surprised to see they were giving free meals to all vets. Beyond that they were treating these veterans with such kindness and respect. They won me as a customer for life after that! Oh, and the food is delicious. It’s a nice quick meal with good ingredients and helpful staff– 5 stars!

I have been to TGD a couple dozen times and the food is always reliably good. The turkey nuggets with that special sauce are addicting. I love the sides especially when I choose this instead of fast food. What an upgrade for about the same price. If you want quick, simple comfort food TGD is a great place to go. I may check it out for catering sometime.

Great food, great prices and staff. If you are trying to find a place that cooks from scratch and offers quality home-​style cooked meals, this is a must go-​to. I spent over 41 years in the restaurant business and very particular where I go. I also like supporting restaurants that are locally owned. Eating here is a treat! You will go back and they do large party orders.

I can honestly say that I’ve never had a bad meal here. The food is always very good and served hot, fresh, and fast. The portions are very generous for the price and they have a nice selection with options to please just about anyone. I like the roast beef, turkey, noodles, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and the gravies are also great. The fact that they have two types of gravy is pretty cool. Their turkey nuggets are also worth a try– they are unique and delicious. I also like the bowls where you can combine a few different menu items in one bowl. Those are even good to buy and freeze to eat later. They have different pies and cookies for dessert too. It’s also a locally owned and operated restaurant, which I always like to support. They offer a variety of discounts and promotions (veterans, senior citizens, etc.) and usually have cool promotions through their social media accounts. The location is very convenient since it is right by the Belden Village Mall. Basically this is the next best thing to a home cooked meal. And most would think that comfort style food is «heavy» but they have plenty of menu items that don’t pile on calories or fat, so that is always a plus. Bottom line is that I would recommend this place for a quality, tasty meal at a fair price.

First visit to TGD – very good food! I tried the turkey, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, coleslaw, and a chocolate chip cookie. My friend also tried the roast beef, green beans, and mac and cheese and said all was delicious. The dining area is simple, small, and nice.

I’ve had takeout from TGD twice, and both times the food was really delicious, especially the turkey. The setup is similar to Boston Market or Chipotle where you order at the counter and can see most of the food when you order. We got some of the family style meals, and the portions were generous and the food was a good value.

this is good food and you get a ton for your money. I got the turkey nuggets and they are really, really good, especially since there is hot sauce at the table. the dinner bowls are great. we got one with turkey, carrots, mac n cheese, & sweet potatoes. so good. also they have kids meals that are a good size for our little one.

I always enjoy coming to TGD! The food is always fresh and delicious. The employees are very friendly and the prices are more than fair. Even my picky 5 year old loves to eat here.
