The absolute worst vet do NOT go there the staff has no compassion for you or your pet I was warned not to go there and I should have listened they don’t care about you or your pet !!! Horrible and unprofesional

We love Canyon Country Veterinary Hospital. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and it’s very clean. The doctors are amazing and we never wait long at all. This is definitely a great place to take your pet!

I am writing this review to voice my concerns with the Hospital, my experience with the staffs, and the level of communication throughout. I brought my cat «Spazz» in to see Dr. Stone in January and found out he has renal failure. Dr. Stone offered me a treatment plan which involved Sub-​Q fluids, and that the fluids needed to be administered every other day. Dr. Stone informed me that I would be able to administer the Sub-​Q fluids myself to avoid unnecessary costs. Dr. Stone also informed me that I would be able to buy the specific fluids from Canyon Country Vet., and so, I began purchasing directly from the hospital through the «Price Match» program. In doing so, I felt a level of comfort in being able to afford Spazz’s medication, as well as maintain a direct line of answers for my concerns with Spazz’s health.
One of the staff members, «Toby», informed me about your «price Match» program. I appreciated the input, and I believe Jennifer suggested I call in to place the order for Spazz’s medication ahead of time, and that I would be contacted upon its completion. Jennifer’s suggestion proved to save me time, and in my opinion was another example of exceptional customer care.
It wasn’t until I met Tammi – whom I believe is new – that this process became confusing and unsettling for me.
My first experience with Tammi was when I came in to pay for an order I had made. Tammi noticed the date on my «price match» print out was the previous day – I printed out the paper at 11pm the night before, I never made note of the date prior to this, either way, I held no qualms with hospital policy. Tammy filled my prescription and made sure to inform me that this oversight would prevent Spazz from receiving his medication in the future, and understandably so.
Shortly after Tammi’s instruction, she advised me to begin buying Spazz’s medication elsewhere: C.V.S, Costco, to name a few. I followed Tammi’s advisory only to be let down several times. All the locations she assured me of did NOT carry Spazz’s medication, at that, Costco and Walgreens referred me to my local hospital – Canyon Country Vet. As a result of Tammi’s misinformation, I found myself scrambling for late or mid-​day orders from Canyon Country Vet. quite often. Finally, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Stone, she suggested that I NOT look elsewhere for Spazz’s medication; instead, to continue purchasing through Canyon Country. At this point, I couldn’t help but feel confused. There was a lack of transparency between Tammi’s suggestion, and Dr. Stone’s suggestion. Regardless of my confusion, I was relieved to be able to have a steady source for Spazz’s medication. On July 9^th, I placed an order for Spazz’s medication shortly before noon. I did not receive a call-​back. I became concerned with the order, and called in at 6:30 p.m. I was told to come in before 7 P. M when the hospital closes. The lack of communication in this instance left me – once again – scrambling to get Spazz his medication.
On This day it was absolutely PARAMOUNT that I obtained Spazz’s medication. When I arrived, Tammi presented me with the medication, along with a $ 15 dollar «dispensing» fee to be added to my total. When I questioned the merit of the fee, Tammi informed me in no fewer words that, «I am the only person who gets their [Spazz’s] medication so cheap!».
I do not understand the reasoning behind this rule. Is Tammi’s interpretation of this rule askew? Or is this a direct statement from Canyon Country Vet.‘s hospital policy? Either way, the explanation Tammi gave me is unacceptable.
I am not responsible for the ingenuity or lack thereof in your other patrons, and in no way should I be held FINANCIALLY accountable for their oversights. Tammi’s basis for this fee – which was said less than politely – was downright absurd. Tammi informed me of the NEW fee, however she did not inform me of any NEW details Spazz’s medication. On this occasion the label on the bottle did not match the prescription – for the 1^st time in 6 months. I did not administer Spazz’s medication immediately, I needed clarity on Spazz’s new medication so I called the next morning in an effort to speak with Dr. Stone. I was told Dr. Stone would be made aware of my concern, and that someone would call me back to update me. I did not get my question answered because no one returned my call. I tried once more on the following day around 10 A. M and also did not get a response. At this point, Spazz had gone 3 days without his medication.
Needless to say, I made the decision to take Spazz to the elsewhere. Spazz means more to me than the title of a «house pet», Spazz is a part of my family and I am also a lover of all animals. I can’t, in good faith, leave this hospital knowing that someone else’s Spazz might experience the same lapse in communication at a similar, or even worse time. I hope whom-​ever reads this is left with a determination to not let another patron feel like their animal’s health is being ignored

DO NOT GO HERE! First I took my cat here for a sinus infection. Due to an «emergency» that came in (30 minutes before closing), I had to wait for almost TWO HOURS. I should have walked out, but I remained patient because my kitty needed to be seen. Finally Dr. Stone came in — no apology, no explanation. Wow. Anyway she did a cursory exam and said «She has a sinus infection. I’ll write up prescriptions.» ANOTHER HOUR LATER, I asked for the prescriptions. The vet tech came out and asked if we had been seen. WHAT? I told her to give me the prescriptions. Before she did though, she tried to sell me $ 35 of stuff we didn’t need. My cat did eventually get better.
Just last week, we had an emergency with one of our dogs, who we suspected had eaten poison. We made it to the office about 15 minutes before closing. The receptionist asked if we were current clients — I said not with my dogs, but I had been there with my cat. She disappeared to the back while we were holding our now-​limp dog. She came out and told us to go to «All Creatures» (see my review for them!) because they were closing in 10 minutes and that our dog was not critical and would be able to «make it there.» WHAT?!
SO, they were able to take a last-​minute emergency last time I had been there, but not this time?
This other clinic was 30 minutes away.
The completely incompetent vet (Dr. Gill) at this other clinic basically killed our dog by not treating her properly (see my review for them).
So DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT GO TO THEIR AFFILIATE, ALL CREATURES.

I found this place after doing a search for vets near Valencia ca. It does not have a very detailed website but it seemed friendlier than the other Vets I was looking at.
I called and was set up with an appointment for my dag the next day. I get there and they immediately knew who we were. They said hi to Tinkerbell and then gave me the papers I needed to fill out for them. I was pleased with how upbeat and attentive they were. I waited maybe ten min and then was shown into the exam room. The nurse came in and confirmed what the visit was for and then she proceeded with the physical exam. When she was done she said that it would be a few min for the doctor because they had an emergency walk in and that it was taking some time to deal with. That was fine. I understood. .
20 min later the doctor finally came in. I’m a little annoyed at this point but oh well lets get through this. He says that we need to start getting her teeth brushed and shows me how there is a little tarter on the back teeth. Tinkerbell freaks out because this man just reaches out and does this. So I pull her back away a little and say ok, Yes I see. As he is describing what may happen if we don’t he starts trying to shove his hands in her mouth again I pull her back further and yell «I said ok! You on’t have to do that again!!» he backs away and finishes telling me his position on the rest of her health, which is all good.
So I love the nurses and the facility but I’m not so big on the doctor. I will take her there again in the future but if I have the same problem with the doctor I will have to find another place.

While growing up, I wanted to be a vet. But, due to the fact that my math skills suck, I knew I would never be able to go into the medical field. Enough about my sad public education woes — I tell you my background so that you would understand that when I say this place is exactly what I envisioned my vet office to look and feel like, you can understand how amazing this place is! I am a picky customer — especially when it comes to the medical field (I still think of myself as an undercover medical professional).
Everyone is kind, and attentive! Each person employed by CCVH is a gem! It is common to find poor customer service these days — not at CCVH! The place is spotless! It smells better than my home! The vet tech and the Doc both got on the floor with our puppy to just ‘hang’ with her a bit before they asked us to place her on the table. Our hyper puppy felt so at home, she tried to slip in a nap! I have noticed that most veterinarians have horrible people skills — not at CCVH! So, grab your keys, grab a leash, grab your ‘fur baby’ and go to CCVH!

This clinic is newly reopened and has been here 3 months. They really love dogs!
What a great new crew-​I took my Bichon, Buster, and my Yorkie Charlie
had full exams, vaccinations, nail trims, the vet techs, Tammi, Tessa, and Dr Misty were wonderful-​I saved about 20% over the last vet I had and they spent more time with my dogs-​including helpful tips with Busters behavior problems… Buster didn’t want to leave he loved them! They had a little dog with an emergency but kept taking time getting my doggies treated– I am a nurse and these are some great people-​I am not going anywhere else.
We give them 8 Paws up !! Woof Woof!
