When I don’t want to make the pizza myself I order Papa John’s. I’ve only had positive experiences from this location. Caesar is awesome, he helped me with a online order that became complicated and worked it out with great patience.

Last night I ordered two large pizzas and some bread sticks. I should have checked my order before I left the place when I went to pick it up. When I got home, my mom opened the top box which was the box with the bread sticks. The bread sticks were completely burned and not edible at all. So we looked at the pizzas. Both pizzas were overcooked. Not to the point of being burned, but they were definitely a dark brown I’ve never seen at the location on Seco I usually go to. So I put my food back in my car and drove back to Papa Johns. I immediately asked to speak the person in charge. It was a guy(didn’t catch his name) but he was working in the back rolling out some dough. He had long hair and wasn’t wearing a hair net. Not sure that is required at this place, but when I was working at a fast food restaurant and in a school cafeteria I was always required to wear one. The guy was not very happy when I showed him my burned bread sticks. He tried to make excuses. He said, «Sometimes they come out of the oven like that.» I replied, «But somebody had to see them when they were put in the box. Who decided it would be acceptable to send this home for somebody to eat?» He said the drivers don’t always look at the product while putting stuff in the box. He said he could make me some new breadsticks. I showed him the pizza and asked if the pizza could be re-done. He said he couldn’t redo the pizza. The pizza looked normal. I said I usually go to the one on Seco because it is closer to my house and my pizza NEVER looked that dark brown. He said he would do nothing for the pizza. So at that time I said I would like a full refund and would never be back at this location. He was not very happy about giving me a refund on my food. But I refuse to pay for pizza that I know is not supposed to look the way it was given to me. It took the guy about 10 minutes before he was able to get my refund. I had payed with a credit card. He kept switching computers pounding info on to the keyboard. It looked as though he was having a tantrum but trying not to look like he was. So, NEVER go to this location if you are interested in eating edible pizza. My favorite part of the whole thing was the sign on the door I noticed on my way out. It says, «Better Ingredients, Better Pizza, Better Service!» I would like to know where my better pizza and better service was last night. It was non existant.

I wish I could find a GOOD non chain pizza place that delivered up to me here in Saugus, but so far nothing. Papa johns has been my family go to wherever we live for the quick chain pizza. Unfortunately this one has been THEWORST by far for being remotely on time. So, when it says 30 – 40, plan on 1 hr-75 min. It’s a bummer, but that’s how it is, and they show no signs of caring, I know, I’ve called to check on status of pizza and all I get is «it’s coming». I guess as long as management is fine with subpar service who above them is there to go to right?

The phone just rings rings and rings no one ever answers. Really? This is a horrible way to conduct business I don’t care how busy you are. ALWAYSANSWERPHONEORDERS! Management please train your employees to the highest level of customer service there is to provide. This is not the first time this happens it’s happen way to many times therefore Papa johns is definitely out of our que.

The worst over the phone delivery experience I’ve ever experienced I canceled my order because the lack of professionalism on the phone, trying to argue with me when I asked about the delivery times from a previous Unilocal review stating that it took 2 hrs and wanted to charge extra as a side for more peppers! Really ?!

Two hours and 30 minutes and still Don’t have my pizza. My husband called On the 2 hour mark and said it was on its way. Called the manager and all He can say was«sorry» and that the order was tagged as pick up. He didn’t mention to Rush the order or Do Anything about it. When my husband heard it’s set for Pick Up he called to Order somewhere else and received pizza with 30 Minutes. Worst management and staff ever!

As I’m placing order, the manager I believe, places me on hold for about 5 minutes, comes back on the phone saying he had to help a customer that came in. What the hell?!! Am I chop liver?!! So the customer that comes into the store gets priority over people calling in for their order at this store? Not happy about that! The name of the person I spoke to was Hector. Took me about 10 minutes just to order two pizzas! Very disappointed!

Ignore the two idiots who gave this place a good review as they’re probably just shills. I ordered a pizza from this place and it was burnt to a crisp and inedible. It’s obvious whoever cooked the pizza knew it was crap but gave it to us anyways. I ate 3 slices and threw the rest of pizza away. This location is complete garbage and the manager needs to change things or be fired.

i ordered a pizza online then i am going to pick it up. Hector the cashier and employee tried to over priced the pizza that i order. told him that it was like 18 something dollars and he kept arguing that it says on the cash register that it was $ 19.98. i showed him the receipt in my email then he told me it was a mistake on the cash register and even said i should have checked the box. After that the forgot to put in the free garlic sauce and the extra garlic sauce that i ordered. Again he argued that only one was free, told i ordered 2 more extra. They should check the order if its complete before they give it to the customer. Worst customer service!

Horrible!!! Beware!!! Until this place gets better management and better training methods I would not order from here. We ordered the special and after an hour of not having my delivery I called to see what the deal was. Haha gm tells me that the delivery girl«tried» to call and was no answer so she just went back to the store. I guess she could have if they had my number. Or maybe she could have went to the address provided and delivered my pizza?! When we asked about a discount for our inconvenience we were offered a store credit for a free large pizza. Ok sure so we waited another 30 min for one cold pizza and cheese bread and 1 warm pizza. C mon guys I usually love papa johns and you have ruined it for me.

I must truly be blessed by the pizza gods, never had a bad one from this location. Couple of pics of tonight’s bounty which is pretty consistent. Great discount coupons delivery usually under 30 minutes I have no complaints.

After a long day, I’m starving, and decided to order out, pizza sounded good. I tried using the Mobil app, which had good deals, but it took forever to input my info over and over. I added my credit card and it wouldn’t take it, all the info was right, tried it again. Nope! It still wouldn’t go through. Then it tells me I ran my credit card to many times. So I end up calling the place and ask if he would honor the same discount. He tells me no. That was all I needed to hear, before I hung up the phone. Why go through all this? Not good customer service. Ended up going somewhere else. Never again.

Why all the hate? I mean, it’s Papa John’s, not gourmet pizza. I’ve ordered from here tons of times. I wouldn’t call the delivery«prompt» but it’s the same as every other pizza delivery time to Sand Canyon. Pizza is always hot and yummy. Sure there is the one old Mexican dude delivery driver who has zero personality, but who cares. There’s also a super cute girl that delivers, too. Never know who is gonna show up, haha. Overall, very satisfied with my experience with this location.

After reading some of the other reviews AFTER we ate from here, I realized we were pretty lucky regarding ONLY the delivery time & nice driver. The pleasant girl that took our phone order said it would be 35 minutes, but, it was 45 min-ok. I ordered a well done veggie pizza, salad and wings w/o any sauce. Pizza was barely warm. Not well done. But, the worst part was that someone either stepped on our pizza box or something heavy was placed on top!!! When we opened the crushed pizza box, half of the skimpy cheese/toppings were stuck to the top of the box! Really? Not to mention, who puts a cold salad on top of hot/warm food? This made the salad warm which is a pet peeve of mine. We paid $ 17.00 for just the pizza! :{ Even though I asked for a menu, they forgot that. But, that’s o.k. because we will NOT order from here again.

I’ve ordered online twice from this location. The first time, my order took over an hour for delivery and was incorrect when I received it. I called after the estimated 40 minute delivery time, so they gave me a 50%off coupon for my next online. The coupon was expiring today, so I figured I’d use it. Once again, my order took over an hour for delivery and when I received it 0 of the 3 items handed to me were from my order. I had to call the store and have them send the driver back. They asked me not to touch the pizzas, since they would need to deliver them to the correct address. That’s the last time I order from them.

DONOTCOMEHERE!!! While waiting for my pizza, I saw an employee leave the store and come back with a Stater Bros. bag(grocery store down the street). I looked into the open kitchen area as he emptied the bag… I was shocked to find that he purchased sausages. WTH!!! YUP, you guessed it. He used them on the pizzas. I ordered a veggie so it wasn’t my pizza. The employee who took my order told me it would take longer for my pizza because they were having issues with the ovens. An older guy, also an employee, overheard him telling me that and went off on him. AWKWARD! If you are looking for BETTERINGREDIENTS&BETTERPIZZA… go down to Oggi’s Brewery down the street for yummy pizza or even Dominoes.

Horrible service and rude employees. The ridiculous message that answers the phone is too annoying to ever call again. Dominos on Soledad is far better.

While perusing , I discovered that Papa John’s had a Monday takeout deal. «Monday Mania: All Large Pizzas including Specialty Pizzas» For $ 8.99. I decided to give it a shot. At 9:34AM I ordered an «All The Meats Pizza» with a pickup time of 4:45pm. I was happy that I didn’t have to worry about dinner, and went back diligently to work. [Fast forward to 4:45PM] I pulled into the parking lot at 4:47 and entered the building. I said my name, and the guy behind the counter handed me my pizza, printed me up a receipt, and I was back on my way. He informed me of Papa John’s points, where if you sign up for their website you get points every pizza you order, and when you hit 25 points you get a free pizza. I thanked him for the information and left. Even with the pizza in the trunk, my car smelled wonderful for the 4 minute ride home. I got home, and ate the pizza. It was pretty good. The pizza had lots of stuff on it. I was tempted to use the dipping sauce for the crust, but a tub of their garlic dipping sauce + brick of Velveeta cheese + elbow pasta makes the best macaroni & cheese. To recap: While normally their pizzas are a bit pricey, the Monday Mania Deal is pretty good. Total was 9 and change for a large tasty pizza.
