Established in 1967.

In the mid 1960’s Canyon Lake Dam was complete. This inspired land developers to began subdivisions in the area providing week-​end and some permanant residents. Canyon Lake Realty was the first real estate company selling land and new construction. In 2000 Joy Buckels, ABR, CRS a seasoned Broker from the Dallas and Houston market aquired the company changing the name to Canyon Lake Real Estate, LLC. Since then she has provided services to many people relocating from the metro areas to their new lifestyle in the Texas Hill Country. She has 35 years experience helping people sell and buy homes and land.

Business Owner

Joy started her real estate career in 1977 in the Dallas market. She left the corporate world to explore her efforts as an independent contractor. Being in a commission sales position with two small children to support, she was driven to be a success. Her first 17 days in the business she listed, sold and closed her first transaction. She loved working with people and helping them with their real estate needs. She moved to Houston in 1989 and worked the Houston market for 11 years. After her third child left home she relocated to the Texas Hill country. She has received numerous awards during her 35 years of service, but her most rewarding award is helping people change their lives through real estate!
