Dr. Parker is a board certified and fellowship trained corneal and refractive surgeon with over 15 years of experience. History

Established in 1998.

Dr. Parker joined EyeCare Specialists in 1998 after extensive medical training and an internship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. This was followed by a Residency at the prestigious Kentucky Lions Eye Research Institute in Louisville, Kentucky. His fellowship in Cornea and External Disease/​Refractive Surgery was completed at Corneal Consultants of Indiana. He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and is a member of The Cornea Society.

Dr. Parker’s notable accomplishments include being a sub-​investigator in FDA clinical trials for advancements in laser vision correction and being named Chief Resident while at the University of Louisville Department of Ophthalmology. Furthermore, he has been an instructor at the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s annual meeting, instructing other physicians on microkeratome use in LASIK.
