Went in to look at 4Runner and Tacomas, our sales guy Dylan was awesome, no high pressure sales, he took the time to understand what we wanted and let us drive many vehicles. Ultimately none of the vehicles matched what I wanted seating and power wise so we will go in another direction. If you want a car talk to Dylan, he’s superb

Almost always gets it right for service, always friendly and keeps their records straight. The facilities are nice, and it’s easy to get an appointment (service is open 7 days a week!).

Fancy dealership now with the upgrade finally! However about a 2 years ago I saw a 2013 Tacoma online advertised at 23k. I thought wow that’s a smoking deal so I ran down here and talked with a salesman. He brought me inside to start signing papers but the price changed to 28k. So I asked what happened?! It said 23k online! I was told «oh that was a mistake». After a bunch of back and forth I finally talked to Simon bachir (fleet manager) directly and explained to him that I understand mistakes happen. I’m in construction and if I misquote or misrepresent a price to a customer I don’t make them pay for my or my employees mistake, it’s not good business. He said he would drop the price to 25k. I said no! It was advertised at 23k. He then proceeded to tell me that his «normal» customers understand mistakes and if I was worried about a couple thousand dollars then maybe I shouldn’t be looking for a new car. I said forget you and I’ll never buy anything from here as long as you work here. I felt it was a very rude comment directed at the fact I’m Mexican or I’m young or both.
Piercey Toyota in San Jose is a much better dealership and I went there the next week and bought a brand new Tacoma for 28k (trd sport with all the extras). My parents and sister both needed a new car and you better believe they didn’t buy from Toyota of Santa Cruz. Now i will be buying a trd pro in the next weeks from piercey as well, too bad for Toyota of Santa Cruz they hired this douche bag. This guy just costed them 4 sales. I only go there now for service on my toyotas. Wait times can be a little much. Also my wife has a Scion tC with stock painted black rims and we’ve only ever taken it into the Toyota dealership for Maintenance and one day we go to pick it up and I noticed they chipped the black paint around the lugs on the rims. Not just little chips but pretty big size ones. It’s not like I take the wheel off and the only dealership that touched it was Santa Cruz. I figured there’s no way I can prove they chipped it with the gun they use to rattle off the lugs. They will say it was us somehow. I was pretty irritated with that but other than that it’s ok I guess. Keeping it at 1 star until Toyota of Santa Cruz rectifies the way their sales manager treated a good customer.

Came in for a 55,000 mile maintenance check and waited under 20 minutes and my truck was returned to me. The whole process was quick and painless and Mark was a big help.

You can make appointments for sales or service. Just dont expect Toyota to ever be on time!
This is my 4^th visit to this dealer. I came twice during purchase of the Rav4. The sales person totally blew me off. While I waited more than 1 hour past my appointment time while I watched the sales guy give priority to walk-​ins. I should have just walked out then.
This is my 2^nd time coming for service (less than 5k total miles on the car). The first time I waited over 2 hours. And now it has been 1 hour and I’m still waiting for them to put the tire on. Now I was assured I would not have to wait each time I made an appointment. But guess what…
TOYOTA LIES!
They never have the part you need so any service requires 2 trips with wait time for each. It’s no wonder people hate visiting you

I made an appointment to test drive a car, and get on a waiting list for the exact model I wanted. The sales guy informed me right away that he had three appointments scheduled for the same time. He was very reluctant to give me a test drive. Then when we were out on the road he was answering his phone and telling me that his other appointments were arriving. When we got back he handed me off to a different sales person. He searched for the car that I wanted and didn’t find it at any local dealership. So he placed it on order. But the whole conversation was very strange. I had a hard time communicating with him. I feel like overall they were very rude to me, and I left feeling not very confident about my future purchase. I think I should probably buy somewhere else.

I thoroughly appreciated the personal service when I brought my Camry in for service. Mike explained everything in detail which I liked. This kind of service makes this big place feel more local, and like the service personnel care about the outcome of each transaction. I will definitely continue to bring my car to Toyota of SC for service. Thanks, guys!

I take my old Prius to Toyota of Santa Cruz because of the great service there. They are very friendly and very professional and they know what they’re doing when it comes to customer service and repairs. They are open seven days a week, which is really helpful and convenient. Their free shuttle is available to take you to and from the shop, although I could probably do without talk radio in the van. The brand new facility is clean and modern and is a comfortable place to wait for your car. It’s probably more expensive to go to a dealer, but they have really done a great job with my car and I really feel that it is worth it.

We shopped around all dealers, we used Unilocal,AAA, our Credit Union and a few other places to check out pre-​owned cars. We knew what we wanted, found it, checked it out, and then talked with the dealership. The place is just getting finished up with their major remodel, they corrected the no place to park problem, that made my day right off. Everyone was nice, real people but yet very professional. We had already checked the car out, but now they came and picked us up in it, we test drove it. It was just what we were looking for and they worked with us on keeping the price right where we figured it needed to be. From start to finish, everything went very smooth. We drove home in «our new car». Like some other folks have said, we will still need to return here to let you know how the Service Center is when we bring the car in later.

After the remodel Toyota of Santa Cruz is awesome. It is easy to bring your car to the service area and the waiting amenities are wonderful. I enjoyed the atmosphere and the free coffee. The workers are always very friendly and accommodating.

I recently bought a car at Toyota of Santa Cruz and was very pleased with the sales team and most particularly, the deal I got on my vehicle. They made every step of the way smooth. The facility is very clean and cool (which is nice on these recently hot days).
Would have to provide another update for how the service is when I go there and also if/​when I receive my license tags (as they are doing all the paperwork with the DMV).

My first visit was a very good one. No car wash because it is under construction, but I appreciated that my «Service Advisor» took the time to educate me about what services the OEM recommends at various mileages and the details behind his recommendations. I’ll definitely be heading back next time the old Prius hits another 5K milestone.

I purchased a Prius a few days ago and I could not be happier with the sales team at Santa Cruz Toyota (or my car!). I checked in the weekend before my purchase and despite being very busy, a salesman attended to me quickly and allowed me to test drive the car I wanted immediately.
I decided I wanted to purchase a new vehicle with an interior that they did not currently have in stock and Jim Davis assured me that they could have it in 24 hours or less. When put to the test, Jim delivered (which seems to be status quo for him). I had the exact car I wanted, we negotiated a really fair price (like the ones you get over the hill at bigger, less personable dealerships), and it even came with a few extras they did not charge me for (namely door edge guards which are a nice touch).
While I can only speak for Chris Skog, Jim Davis, and Julie Frugoli – the members of the sales team with whom I interacted, I can say confidently that they were professional, upfront, flexible, and clear in their communication. I would recommend this dealership to anyone looking to be treated well and offered a solid deal on a great vehicle.

Really disappointed with the sales team here including the manager. Very rude !!! Had thought it best to tell truth that we were just looking bc my mother is from Michigan. Guess lying would have been better to get some real service.
But they took that and ran with it that they had no time for a non sale.
I myself have been in sales for many years and do understand the commission aspect. But to continuously remind us in a 20 minute window we were undesirable customers, so insanely rude. I live in the area and will not be shopping there ever!!!
It was late morning on a week day. It wasn’t like there was a line out the door !

I bought a new tundra a few years ago and have been back and fourth several times to the dealership now. I was pleased with Chuck who sold me the car but the service department (in the old building) was just always a little hectic and slow.
Today I brought my truck in for its 40,000 mile service. I called yesterday and they had plenty of time slots available to my surprise and got me scheduled right when I would have wanted to go. That was very nice.
As I visited the dealership this morning, I was very happy to see the new building was open (looks very nice BTW) and even more happy with the service department. Mike Caligiuri pleasantly greeted me and way very friendly, effective and respected my time. Appreciate the service Mike! Best of all… there was no wait or madness to be found.
I’d suggest to anyone looking for a new car or truck to give Toyota of Santa Cruz a try. I bet you won’t regret it. Keep up the good work guys!!!

The service I just received was 5-​star, without a doubt!
We pulled up, completely unannounced, and the first greeter helped us out right away. Then Mark took ownership of our situation. He shifted some priorities around to make room for our tire to get fixed immediately, even making accommodations for our toddler who was sleeping in the backseat.
While we waiting, Heather was sweet to offer us tea and ask if there was anything she could do to make our wait more comfortable.
There was even a kids’ space to help pass the time.
Overall, it was a great experience. Full recommendation. No hesitation.

Julie is a very good leader and sets the tone for the entire dealership and it is one of respect and decency quite unlike the typical negative stereotypes of car sales
they solve our needs seamlessly get us out on the road quickly and safely so we can perform our business tasks
I have bought exclusively from this dealership since 1991 and have never had a problem with service people, with a vehicle or with financing and after this last recession that is a minor miracle.
I just bought a Venza for myself last week and am buying a delivery vehicle next week
I have always been treated fairly, honestly and with the utmost respect even the first time I went in with no history way back in the day in the embryonic stage of my business with no track record for financing
We really rack up the miles in our company and have never had a breakdown in fact everything is always under warranty even in the battery heavy Prius at 250 k miles which is still going great
We’ve had numerous Tacoma’s RAVs Tundras scions matrix and Yaris all have been great no issues
As an owner of a business my greatest fear is what can happen to our workers out there on the highways
I feel very good that they drive such reliable safe vehicles all parts of which are made and the vehicles manufactured here in the USA and I am very grateful that Julie and her team always somehow manage to get me the financing I need to be within budget
Further Toyota Motor Credit Corp has also been very good to work with no mistakes on invoicing and I can always get an American on the phone to help me if something comes up

Jim Davis was quick to answer my email inquiries about my car search. He was also prompt and courteous with various questions I had, and mind you, I didn’t want to step a FOOT onto a dealership until I know what I want to drive home in eventually. He has been very helpful, without getting any commission for answering weeks worth of questions!
I haven’t found what I want to test drive YET, but I will especially feel more inclined to visit this dealership when the right car comes available.
