Pros-In unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, ceiling fans w/lights, close to Pinch. Cons-Draconian parking rules, paper-thin walls and ceilings, bad side of town, robberies, awful management staff, high rent, unjust retention of security deposit, no pool, no workout facility, no business center, no tanning, incompetent maintenance staff, no utilities incl., cockroaches The paper-thin walls and ceilings are the worst. They allowed two people to live in a one bedroom above me and I’d have to wear headphones to drown out the pounding of their feet. You can hear every note of your neighbors’ music as well. The parking is the second worst. They begin towing at 11 pm. A truck usually comes by about 11:03 and will tow your guests all the way to the north end of town to an unmanned lot. Getting a guest pass to avoid being towed is a nightmare. I would have my guests park elsewhere and then walk to my apt or go pick them up if the weather was bad just to avoid both situations. Ridiculous. The office staff is combative and will tell a tenant«no» before a request is made. I told Jessica about the cockroaches I saw and she said she would call an exterminator. Several months later I saw them again, told her about it, and she said she had«no idea.» The maintenance staff is completely incompetent. They respond quickly but never fix the problem. It generally took 3 calls to have mundane repairs made. More expensive repairs are not made. They would also wear their boots through my apartment which was disgusting. The dishwasher requires two cycles to be moderately effective. I think garbage is the only utility included. No tv/internet/water/sewer/electric/gas. I believe the Reserve includes everything except electric. I was robbed due to the lack of fencing, lighting, cameras, and general makeup of the East side of Carbondale, but they didn’t initiate remedial measures or offer reparations. This was as objective as I could be. Hope it helps.
