One of my favorite places in Carbondale. They have a good selection of vinyl, a great/friendly/helpful staff, and there’s always some good music playing to make your shopping experience better. They have fair and competitive prices(I find vinyl here cheaper than I do on amazon most of the time) and a $ 1 vinyl bin that usually has a decent selection. This is a great place to shop and it’s always nice helping out local business’s.

Good selection of vinyl at a decent price. I’ve seen better prices but I’ve definitely seen worse. The owner and staff are exceptionally knowledgeable and friendly. Overall a great little record store.

Today is Record Store Day and after seeing the list of exclusive albums being released for this, I decided I had to find a store nearby participating. I found this store through the official Record Store Day website and hurried on over this morning. While not everything on my list was here(which is in NOWAY their fault), I did find one of the most important items on my list — The Flaming Lips — Zaireeka. I also found The Cure — Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me… and the clerk suggested I try The Glove — Blue Sunshine if I’m a fan of The Cure, so I took the suggestion and bought it as well. Even had a bit of a laugh about The Glove in the process as well as got a backstory of who they are and what their deal is which made me fully realize I did want the album and was confident I would enjoy it.(As a side note: I listened to it when I got home and I have to agree, if you like The Cure, you will enjoy this album as well.) I love that he knew that Zaireeka requires 4 turntables to be played as it is meant to be and that he knew that The Glove is tied to The Cure and suggested it to me. I think everyone is always looking to experience new music and I love that I discovered The Glove today through a simple suggestion at the store. I interacted with several staff today and all were above and beyond friendly. I had called before heading over because I was looking for Dave Matthews Band — Live Trax and when I got there I talked with several staff. I enjoyed the store completely. I like how everything is well labeled and easy to find the genre &/or artist you’re looking for. I look forward to coming back and truly seeing what the store has to offer on a day when I’m not obsessing over my list and trying to find those few albums I’m obsessively looking for. Overall, my first impression is that this store is absolutely awesome. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming. I look forward to spending more time here soon.

An awesome, friendly, and locally owned record store. What little money I had in college was always spent here. Every genre, new and used. CD or Vinyl. Lots of boxed sets as well. After being gone from Carbonadle for so long, I cam back and the owner still recognized me. The other employee’s are always fun, friendly and helpful as well. The best record store in the area.

A small, hometown record store with more charm than I’ve found almost anywhere else. Kim the owner is one of the friendliest guys you will ever meet and is far from your typical record store snob. He has a huge selection of almost every genre and makes great recommendations based on your purchases. The rest of the staff are just as awesome and knowledgeable.
