Craig Devine is the highest level of music teacher, really. He knows guitar very well, but I say «music teacher» because he will teach your child great musicianship, like how to relate to a piece of music as the most beautiful expression of emotion. He has high standards (this place is not one of those uninspired lesson factories where kids are just pushed through for tuition); he pushes for perfection but he never squashes a child’s desire to play music or to be creative or joyful. His guitar lessons will strengthen your child’s relationship with music without draining the fun or joy that children have with music. If you want playing music to be a beautiful experience in your child’s life, this is the place no matter how far your child goes with playing guitar.
Came across him by chance on the internet several years back to teach my then 5 year old daughter. We have had lots of different music teachers across the years (voice, piano, guitar teachers before him) so I know what Im talking about when I say that he is a cut above the rest.
Most guitar teachers give lessons to be able to support their own performance; Craig teaches because he is so passionate about all things classical guitar. He is a great performer himself but teaching is not second to that!
