History

Established in 2010.

The first Dirty Dogs was established in 2008 and we opened our Cardiff location in 2010.

My young son Joel asked me one day why don’t we open a dog wash near our house to bathe our family’s dogs. From there, the dog wash and dog grooming idea grew and the concept for Dirty Dogs was born. We keep up on current research and constantly work to provide the best dog food, dog toys and treats for your pets. We have do-​it-​yourself dog wash facilities at both of our locations and have been named best dog groomer in San Diego, 4 years in a row by readers of Ranch and Coast magazine.

We have recently become involved in fundraising efforts for the Cardiff dog park on the corner of Montgomery and San Elijo. We are working to ensure that the dog park is a safe and fun environment and that local residents and visitors will recognize Cardiff as a wonderful town for both people and pets!

Meet the Manager

Manager

My name is Elias and I was born and raised in San Diego. Since I was young, my family has owned dogs and helped teach me the value that pets bring to your life. I oversee the operations at both Dirty Dogs locations (Torrey Hills and Cardiff by the Sea) and I am eager to make sure you find what you need and have a great experience in our stores.

My family has a yellow lab named Moe and I have a studly brown Chihuahua named Simon who you will likely see relaxing on the counter at Dirty Dogs.
