By far the best dentist I have ever seen. I’m pretty much petrified of dentists. Fortunately, he does have nitrous available for people like me. I had 5 crowns done in the front of my mouth. To say the least, that was scary enough. I already had two that were really horrible looking due to a hack job 25 years ago. The temporary teeth look better than the originals. Dr. Howard is an artist. I will update when I get the permanent.
Additionally, I felt no pain. He layered the Novocain and I didn’t even feel the shots. Bless his heart. I can honestly say that I will no longer fear the dentist. Just hope he never retires. LOVE HIM.

Dr. Howard is the best dentist I have ever had take care of my dental needs — this includes many, many other dentists from multiple states and cities (I move a lot).
His staff is knowledgeable and friendly and the Dr. is very careful and explains everything he is doing in understandable language. I moved from the area but still drive the 60 miles for my appointments — I’m not going to ever change dentists again!

Dr. Howard and his staff has been my dentist since I moved back to Encinitas. Historically, I have been lucky that my teeth have had little need other than cleaning (Which Dr. Howard’s people do an excellent job of). This year I needed a needed rework of fillings I had 25 years ago. 6 filling, two visits, no pain. Dr. Howard is the best at minimizing the discomfort of dentistry.

I had not been to the dentist in a really, really long time, too long that it would be embarrassing to say. Dr. Howard and his staff were beyond nice and accommodating of my irrational fears of the dentist. In fact, Dr. Howard is funny! I ended up needing my wisdom teeth out, and received a great recommendation from Dr. Howard to Dr. Phillips in Del Mar. Dr. Howard’s staff called my husband, who is also now a patient at his office, the day of my surgery to see how I was doing. He creates a very warm environment in his office and his staff share in and complete this vibe. Now, I look forward to going to the dentist rather than getting the chills every time I go by a dentist office.
