Brett was great from the start. He answered all of my questions and provided excellent service even before I had agreed to use RPM’s services. Above all, Brett and Donna made sure that it was a smooth process. We appreciate it tremendously!!!

I would not return to Sean Cahan for a home loan. His customer service, timeliness and overall professional skills are poor. After we turned in all the paperwork for the loan, we reached out and asked if we needed to do anything else, no response. We finally got in contact with him two weeks later after multiple email attempts and losing the home we wanted to make an offer on and he offered no apology. We are understanding people but with out acknowledgment of his/RPM’s mistake that we fell through the cracks we decided to take our business elsewhere and you should too.

I wish I could put no stars. Sean Cahan from RPM was the most unprofessional person I have ever worked with. From the very first conversation it was very hard to speak with him. He assumes everybody knows his job and doesn’t want to take the time to explain things. He seemed very unorganized and unwilling to be patient with us at all. This by far was the worst experience I have ever had. Someone needs to send him to customer service training.

First time we have ever been denied a loan and it’s all thanks to RPM. Our income, credit, and down payment qualified us easily, and the home appraised for the sale price but for some reason (that was never made clear to us) their investment group wasn’t interested in funding a loan for the property we wanted to buy. The result was we lost the home since we were denied by RPM at the last minute and the seller was unwilling to wait for us to go to a new funding source.
Be careful if you chose to work with RPM, unlike a bank they have no mandate to fund anything and it’s at their investors discretion. This experience cost us $ 1500 and the lost opportunity of our new home, had we gone through a real bank we would have had no problem funding the loan.

After having our offer accepted for our first home, my fiancé and I began to look into our lender options. We had been warned by others to be wary of false rate advertisements, hidden fees and delayed closing related to the lender, so we were quite wary of the process. We connected with Mike Fake at RPM Mortgage and immediately appreciated his patience as we went through a list of questions and concerns. Mike’s rates were extremely competitive — actually by far the best we were quoted– and so we decided to work with him and his team. It was a great decision, as Mike made himself available to us throughout the entire process to help us go over all the forms, crunch numbers and just understand the nuances of the lending process. Mike and his team were nothing but professional and worked hard to make sure we met our short escrow period deadline. When we got our final paperwork from escrow, there was a large unexpected fee which ended up being the result of a confusion between Mike’s team and escrow. As soon as Mike discovered what had happened, he agreed to pay the fee, ensuring we closed below what he had quoted. This honesty and integrity was reflective of Mike throughout our dealings together.

Can I give 6 stars? Buying our first house has been one of the largest decisions of our lives. Sean at RPM has made it simple, educational and exciting. He’s making it possible to own a home and after shopping all around, we couldn’t be happier. The rate is only the first step — the education and information to help save us lots of $ through the why’s and how’s of securing a loan is worth more that I could ask for.
A colleague at work used him as well and had the same review. Sean is the man when it comes to funding loans at the best rate, with the best expertise in San Diego.

My wife and I recently purchased our first home. Choosing the right lender was very critical for us. So, we did a lot of research and chose Sean Cahan. This post would be waaaayy to long to tell of everything he did and how much time he spent making us feel comfortable and educating us along the entire process. Sean Cahan is THE MAN!!!
