ACME Flood

Had a major flood in my gaslamp 2 bedroom 2 bath condo. Robert Algeo and his team Eddy and Gerald came in and rebuilt the drywall, repainted walls and matched different colors perfectly, removed all the old hardwood floor and baseboards, then laid down new hardwood floors throughout with absolute perfection. They paid attention to many other minor details I mentioned, too many to list. My place looks better than it did before the flood. I would very highly recommend Robert and his team to anybody who wants the job done right and efficiently. His personality is awesome and work ethic and skills are second to none

This was an amazing experience! I was referred to ACME as a tenant who was living in a rental. I was taking care of a leak under our sink. I had no time to shop around but have realized I didn’t need to, Robert from ACME worked with Eddy to get new cabinets and countertops and drywall as well as demo and restoration, they promised me some awesome things and they lived up to every promise and then some. They always had plan A, B and C but we’re always able to pull off plan A or make Plan B just as good as plan A. I was surprised at how fast they both were and how their communication was always Prompt even on weekends. I never had an issue getting in touch with them and my questions were answered promptly. They took into consideration my inconvenience before doing certain work and when the project ended up needing more work than they thought they just worked longer hours on their end and delivered exactly what they had promised without inconveniencing me or charging more. These guys were honest, clean, super kind, super honest and I honestly believe really cared the project was done like they themselves would want it. I would highly recommend going with this company and don’t even bother shopping around! You can feel certain you have already found the best! Your money will go the farthest with Robert and Eddy!

One of our toilets decided to clog and eventually caused a leak late at night. I frantically called ACME, Chris answered my questions and booked an appt. for me early next morning. I received a morning call from Ritchie at 7:30am. He was literally at my front doorstep in 20 minutes. Ritchie was very congenial, professional, knowledgeable, and honest. He took the time to make sure things would be taken care of.
It’s not always easy finding trustworthy people to work with. ACME is the type of business I wish we could always deal with. Ritchie was a breath of fresh air! So very grateful for ACME. Ritchie from Acme Flood came to our home in Carlsbad this morning to inspect the damage caused by a laundry room flood, which leaked gallons of water through our ceiling to the kitchen floor downstairs. My husband and I were distraught at first, thinking we were facing thousands of dollars in flood restoration and repairs. Based on the positive Unilocal reviews, I decided to call Acme before getting insurance involved, and I could not be more grateful for that decision! Ritchie answered my phone call outside normal business hours and came by for a complimentary, no-​obligation inspection. After evaluating the damage, he was 100% honest and told us that since my husband is handy, we could fix the ceiling ourselves and save money. He didn’t charge us for the inspection or try to sell us any product or service. He was truly a pleasure to work with on a personal level, and we are so thankful to have found an honest, professional company to call for any future water damage, fire restoration or mold emergencies. I had a leak behind my cabinets that I didn’t know about until the hardwood around my dishwasher started to warp. I was referred to Ritchie from a friend who used Acme before and he was out with a no-​BS estimate same-​day! Fantastic job by Robert, Chris and Gerald… I had a stopped up kitchen sink at 3:30 Saturday afternoon of a 3 day holiday weekend. Robert happened to live 2 streets over and was here in 20 minutes. They were very professional, cleaned the pipe my landlord has been putting band-​aids on and left me with a clean space after they were finished. AWESOME job and I will be calling them again!!!

A month ago when El Nino brought rainfall for a straight 4 hrs, I came home to puddles on my floor, seeping in from the sides of my condo. I couldn’t get a hold of my HOA but knew I needed to get this place dried ASAP!
Ritchie came by that night, within 2 hrs of my phone call despite getting numerous calls from others. It was a busy night! He assessed the water intrusion, measured moisture on the walls and floors and gave me some advice on what I can expect from the HOA just from his experience and he did this all for free! His time and expertise was a true display of great customer service.
While I didn’t get a chance to use Ritchie’s service (because my HOA has their own vendors), I am grateful for his promptness when I was scrambling for answers.
I am still dealing with a nightmare with my HOA and Insurance a month later but I didn’t forget the kindness and professionalism Ritchie bestowed upon me.

I am a local realtor and recently I called Richie at Acme Flood to take care of a mold issue under a kitchen sink. I have to say he was great. He met me at the property within an hour! Robert from Acme was so incredibly helpful and thoughtful to help prevent damage from a large water leak disaster I caused (oops!). He showed up ASAP after the incident, assessed the extent of the potential for damage and immediately set into action with a plan to get my house dry as quickly as possible.
Robert was extremely vigilant with frequent trips to monitor the wet areas, and he took every precaution to ensure my home was back to normal as quickly as possible. He was also very understanding of budgetary constraints. It’s very rare to find small businesses that truly care about their customers like this.

Water damage is a scary thing but Acme was great in settling my nerves ! They came out immediately and worked wonderfully with our insurance. Thank you for being on it and restoring everything like new ! Robert was great to work with.

Amazing service. You all need to know that in this industry (as in solar, heating and A/​C, etc), they are all out to upsell the crap out of you and soak you or your insurance as best they can. Call it short-​timer mentality; get in make money and get out. These guys are the complete opposite.
Service and customer is first. Customer service. Fancy that? An old-​school approach and attitude where true service, good honest work and simple honesty goes a long, long way. Do yourself a favor and look no further. If you need help, which you probably do, call these guys. Robert came out and made me feel super comfortable and gave me the full scoop and not some bs sales script that most companies feed you. The owner Ritchy is a class act, too. Guess it starts at the top! :)

Ritchie was very easy to communicate w and quick to come by and examine a possible leak under our deck from the rain. He was fully honest with us and advised that it was simply not an issue to be concerned with and didn’t even charge for the call. Thanks a lot Ritchie, and hopefully we will never need your services, but if we do at least we know we now have ya!

I own a water damage restoration company in San Diego. I have not used the services of ACME Floods, but i have been in contact with Richie the owner for some time. I can honestly say he’s a really nice guy and definitely knows his trade well.
If i have any overflow of work for water damage, mold remediation or fire damage i will send my customers to ACME Floods.
