Adonis Detailing

Before my Porsche Cayman GT4 arrived I did extensive research over on the Porsche Forum and from friends regarding Paint Protection Film installation. I checked out a few shops that had excellent Unilocal ratings close to me here in Los Angeles but I did not like the few examples that I saw first hand. Since my car was still months away i casually browsed the Forum and came upon Tim’s post regarding a car he just installed PPF on. I was blown away and his attention to detail was excellent. I gave him a call and we discussed options… Answered all my questions and told him i’ll call him again when my GT4 arrived. As soon as my GT4 arrived I scheduled my PPF installation with Tim. 2 hour drive to Carlsbad to drop my car off and left it in Tim’s hands. He recommended a product by Prestige Films called «Clearguard Nano» and I was sold on the clarity and glossiness of the product. I also had him install Ceraluxe Ceramic Tint and Modesta Titanium coating over the film to further protect it. During the time Tim had the car he kept me updated daily on the cars status with pictures. Upon pick up the car was immaculate… I couldn’t be happier with the work. This man is known as the GT4 whisperer among the GT4 club. Tim takes extreme pride in his work… Pictures don’t do what he can do justice. If your looking for PPF look no further.

Tim will take excellent care of your car and you will not be disappointed in the results. His customer service is second to none both before and after the job is done. Shops like his are a rare find and I’m only reluctant to write this review for fear he’ll become so busy I’ll never be able to get my car back in for future detailing.
I love the results and my car couldn’t look any better.

After talking to multiple detailers I chose to go with Tim at Adonis Detailing. I wanted to Nano coat two cars and polish a third, so needless to say I wanted it done right! I have never done a nano coating to any of my previous cars so this technology was new to me. After talking to Tim on multiple occasions I was able to settle on a particular coating. What was great was that Tim did not push one particular product on me. He spent a good amount of time explaining the different coatings and their pros and cons, IE. longevity, scratch resistance and price point, so I felt like a made an informed decision after talking to him.
The results: I can say my wifes 2016 Volvo XC90 looks amazing! It is black in color and this is something I should have done earlier but Tim went the extra mile and made it look awesome! My 2016 Audi S7 looks way better then when I picked it up from the showroom floor, the shine is amazing with the coating and the paint just pops! Washing of both vehicles and wheels is now way easier after the nano coating is on there. My 3^rd car which was a lease return just got inspected by Lexus and the inspector said it was the nicest car he has ever inspected!!! Needless to say I won’t be getting a bill from Lexus on that one.
Overall the service and the attention to detail was the best experience I have ever had with any detailer, and I have worked with many over the last 20 years, so I would highly recommend Adonis detailing!!!

Tim coated my McLaren with Modesta and used Clear Guard Nano SR for the front end to protect against rock chips. He did an amazing job. No seems are visible at all, and the CGN looks like nothing is there. He is as much a perfectionist as I am. The paint really shines in the sun, and I am very happy. He works out of his own home and is willing to give rides to his local customers which really helps. His pricing was very reasonable compared to other shops in the area. I highly recommend.

Tim is a perfectionist and has an eye for the small details that most would overlook. Great guy, will take great care of your car.

I found Tim and Adonis Detail through the Tesla forums. Tim was very patient and walked me through various options to protect the car. He did an amazing job and made it incredibly easy for me to have the service completed.

Mini Update: Modesta is working like a dream. Did a quick wipe down since I had some bug guts on the hood and it came off like nothing. My M4 stays cleaner for longer as well. Definitely better than Ceramic Pro 9H by a solid margin.

I also chose Adonis Detail after reading all the reviews here on Unilocal.My goal was to bring my BMW 328d over when it was brand new to start the car off right. Well, it took me 9 months before I got my act together and brought it over to Tim. WOW, the car looked better than the day I picked it up at the dealer. The paint not only looks, but feels perfect and the car was spotless inside and out. There is a premium for having Adonis detail your car but worth every penny.

I found Tim and Adonis online and chose to go with him after reading all of the reviews and speaking with him at length several times before turning over my car to him. I have a brand new Audi S4 and have babied every car I’ve ever owned, doing the detailing myself. With work and life these days, I don’t have the time to spend a whole day every month or two and Tim recommended going with Modesta coating. He is a true professional, and even picked me up from the train station after leaving the car with him to cure overnight. He spent a good deal of time going over how to care for the car, and all I can say is that he truly made me feel like he treated it as if it was his own.
I’m getting new wheels soon, and he offered to have me bring the car to his house to have them coated too! I was blown away by how amazing the car looks and feels. It’s a deep, glossy shine, and the coating really enhanced the metallic look of the paint. He corrected things that I hadn’t even noticed in the paint. He applied some clear-​bra protective film to my headlights and fogs, as well as to the door cups to avoid those nasty fingernail scratches, and didn’t charge any extra.
I’m 100% giving my «brand new» 1969 bronco to him in a couple weeks to work his magic on.
I recommend Tim without any reservation and you’ll be amazed!

Tim is a work horse that won’t stop till your car is perfect. I initially wanted CQuartz Finest, but went with Tim’s advice and had him use Modesta BC-​5. I couldn’t be happier. The car glistens. It looks like it’s melting plastic. The hood is like a mirror. I want to post pics but they will never do this car justice. It needs to be seen in person. Thank you Tim for just an incredible job on my 2015 Z06, wheels and interior. I HIGHYLY recommend Adonis Detail for your car detail needs. Tim is a very talented and tireless individual that will not disappoint.

I’ve scoured San Diego for the best detail shops and gotten quote on a few of my previous vehicles and even with my S5 and after all the research and trial and ERROR, I couldn’t help but look into Adonis after i was referred by ANOTHER DETAIL SHOP.
I took my 2009 Audi S5 to Tim Coats after first asking another company if they can clay bar and fix some swirls and then put a sealant on the beast. They instantly referred me to Adonis and Tim Coats specifically. He called Tim up on the spot, and after a few questions and a quick quote we figured out just about what we were in for. The work done was Stage 3 Paint Correction, 2 Dents removed, de-​badged the car, full detail and C-​Quartz Finest installation, and not to mention the DELIVERY. I was leaving the country soon so my big thing was, where can my car be picked up when he’s done? or if he could bring it to my storage? and if I’d be satisfied when i came back in 3 months? Tim answered all of those questions, and Tim also suggested I get ahold of TAG Motorsports because we discussed that i wanted more work done.
A few days after we talked, I showed up to his shop and we talked for nearly an hour about what we’re looking at, he answered every possible question I could have, and afterwards he even said he’d deliver it to my storage unit, put my car cover on it, and check the battery before I returned. The quote he gave me over the phone and in person was spot on. When I left my car with him i had full trust that he would be taking good care of her and I was more then excited at the final product.
Tim was very professional, and he really truly cares about the product he puts out. So much so, he installed a clear bra that didn’t take well because my bumper has simple good dimples in it that couldn’t help but show with the clear bra on, and he offered to remove it and not charge me due the fact it was not «perfect». When it’s all said and done Tim certainly exceeded every expectation I had and gives me confidence in him to go back there for maintenance upkeep and even my next vehicles paint protection. Thanks again, she’s looking gorgeous still, and ready for the car show in 2 weeks.

I had Tim do the CQuartz on my Mercedes E63 Wagon and his work ethic, honesty and attention to detail is impeccable. I was and am beyond happy with the results and his very thorough documentation of the process. It’s now been 5 months since he preformed the work and my car still looks stunning in any light. I manage a large private exotic car collection in North County San Diego (
), and we’ve been using Tim at Adonis Detail for quite some time, now. I believe that it’s been since February or March.
We sort of «tested» out Tim’s business when the owner of the collection had Tim detail one of his daily driven cars. For that particular car, Tim did a full paint correction and CQuartz coating on the car. It was incredible how much of a difference it made! Tim also took the time to explain all of the damage that he found on the car, and he pointed it all out to us as well as took before and after photos.
Since then, Adonis Detail has paint corrected and coated 5 more cars for us. On the 458, they removed the clear wrap from the entire car prior to paint correction and coating, and on the 993, Tim did a full wet sand prior.
We currently have a long list of cars on the Adonis Detail to-​do list, and I must say that after 6 cars, we are still incredibly happy with his services.

I just picked up my 2014 Porsche Cayman S from Hoehn Porsche in Carlsbad, CA after doing a European Delivery at the Porsche Factory, Zuffenhausen, Germany. After driving in Europe for 1500 miles in all weather except snow, the car was used a lot! I researched online and in person all the detail places in San Diego. My car is a «daily driver» and not a show car. I wanted to have a strong protective coating, AND be able to take care of it myself very easily, as being 71 years old i do not want to get down on my hands and knees and spend hours (as I used to do) cleaning everything. I decided on Tim who owns Adonis Detail after spending time with him. He is very knowledgeable, and very interested in groaning his new business, which he operates out of his garage in Carlsbad. He just finished my car with C Quartz ceramic coating which took him 10 + hours and an overnight «curing» of the ceramic coating. Just SPECTACULAR! He is coming to my home in a week to show me how to maintaing this with «Waterless Washing» which I can do in my garage regularly to minting this coating. Tim’s prices are very reasonable compared to all the competition; he is determined to grow his business. I highly recommend him.

My truck is 7 years old, and it now looks like it rolled off the showroom floor! I’m extremely meticulous about my truck and have been disappointed by many auto detailers. Tim is the best I’ve ever found and his work speaks for itself! From your Chevy and my Toyota, to his exceptional work on Lamborghinis and Ferrari vehicles, people can put their trust in Adonis Detail for the best looking detail job around. i accidentally hit a curb when driving my wife’s car and scratched up the bottom pretty good. i thought the scratches were too deep to fix, but a friend of mine recommended Adonis Detail, and said if it can be done, then this was the place. I dropped it off with the owner Tim and he said he would do what he could and also take care of some of the other small scratches already on it. tim called me the next day and said the car was ready for pickup. when i got there i noticed the car was waxed outside, tires dressed and the inside was spotless. not only that but he was able to get out a majority of my scratches… i knew i did a number and was more than happy with what he was able to do.

Tim is truly a professional when it comes to the art of detailing. I didn’t hesitate having Tim give my car a full paint correction because I knew the other professionals he had worked with. His attention to detail and level of knowledge is simply amazing. My M3 came out looking better than ever and was worth every penny. Don’t waste your money at the many «detail» places in San Diego. If you want a proper detail go to Adonis detail.
