Bitchin Burgers Food Truck

Most unprofessional business I’ve ever dealt with. There are WAY more businesses that deserve your hard earned money. After all, it’s just burgers and fries.

My wife, two friends and myself visited Bitchin Burgers during a dog related event in Oceanside. My wife and I ordered a cheesy bacon burger, grilled cheese and fries. Total was around $ 17.00 with no drinks. Our food came out in a reasonable manner. Fries were hot and cooked to order. I enjoyed them much after adding salt and pepper. The cheesy bacon burger satisfied my burger fix as well. Portion wasn’t bad for the price. We brought our own drinks. I am not sure if they offer any standard sodas such as coke or Pepsi. I only saw the Hanson sodas.
All four of us enjoyed our food and would eat there again.

I just had a bitchin burger at the Encinitas Street Fair on Saturday and it was really good, I got the burger with chipotle aioli, cheese, and bacon, you can tell they use high quality beef, it was similar to a homemade burger and the bacon was also really tasty. I got the sweet potato fries which were also pretty good.

I ended up placing a custom order here… all I wanted were fries. Then I added cheese and grilled onions and then some Chipotle Aioli. Before I knew it, they became wannabe Animal Style Fries. OMG… they need to add these to their menu! They were wayyyyyyy better than In n Out.

Best ever and its prepared in front of you — just ask. This food truck was the life of our party, and the food was raved about by all the partygoers. It was certainly a pleasure to have them come. They deliver a delicious product, and when they leave they take all of kitchen mess away, so the party host does not have that burden.
I would probably never give a food truck a four star rating, but the sweet potato fries did it for me.

WOW! These burgers are amazing!!! They came to work today for an event and they were awesome! the sweet potato fries are so good :). Must try!1 Highly recommended.

This review is solely on their fries. Yes, it’s pretty basic but they were really good and I wasn’t totally intoxicated either. They are super cheap, came out to $ 2.18 for a decent portion. I saw the price of their burgers and they are so reasonable, averaging $ 5.
Staff was friendly. Would def come back to try their burgers in addition to more fries!

Unbelievable Bitchin’ Burger! So juicy, but not soggy. Tender, but didn’t fall apart. Hot, yet the lettuce was snapping cool. If you haven’t tracked this food truck down, you don’t know what ‘gourmet’ eating is.

Bitchin burgers was exactly that… bitchin. I saw the truck outside a bar in encinitas and my friend highly recommended trying it, so I did. I got the Gouda burger, god damn it was amazing. The sweet potatoe fries were excellent as well.
They have this saracha ketchup mix that ive never seen before and i was all about it. I haven’t had a burger that good in a long time and I didn’t even wait 5 minutes.
The chicks serving the food were also a nice thing to look at while I waited.

The BB truck came to our office complex, and a percentage of the profits were going to our office-​neighbors charity, so I thought I’d go. It was my first time, and I decided to get a Shroom burger (portabello mushroom) with sweet potato fries. I get full easily, so I ordered a slider, which ended up being the perfect size for me. When we first arrived there, the line was super long, and I was a bit worried because I only get 30 minutes for lunch. It took about 10 minutes to wait in line and 5 or so minutes to wait for the food, but I am not complaining about wait time as there were a lot of people in our complex that wanted to come and support our colleagues cause.
I see other complaints below about their fries, but the sweet potato fries were delicious! I am also not a huge mushroom fan (it was the only veggie option), but the burger actually ended up tasting really good, along with the sauce and the bun.
If I ever see the BB truck around, I’ll definitely try to stop by again, if even for the fries!

So slow… I ordered a burger in 1990 when everything was so bitchin, and finally got it in 2013 when bitchin’s not so cool. I bitched and said, «You guys are too slow», but they can’t hear anything in their loud food truck so they just nodded. Whatever. While I was waiting, they also lost someone’s order and then had some order sitting out that no one picked up, probably because they got tired of waiting. So unless you have 30 minutes to spare, I would avoid this food truck.
The burgers are better than McDonads, but not as good as Smash, Knockout, or any of the other violent burger places. They’re probably on par with In-​N-​Out.

I’ve eaten at a plethora of food trucks and they typically promise a lot and provide little. Bitchin’ Burgers is not an exception.
I had the Havo (Habanero Avocado presumably) for $ 9 + tax. The habanero tongue tickle lasted a little while after the burger but lacked any real surprise. I’m not talking about some x factor or a magical culinary feat; I simply didn’t care about it at all when I was done.
The real disappointment though was the bun. I’m sure it’s very artisan, gluten free or something, probably with imported extra virgin olive oil from a limited batch in vintage hard wood casks by rescued Chilean miners, I don’t know, but it was certainly an awkward texture: I wanna say, finely spun, inter-​meshed nylon. Ciabatta-​esque on the top but superbly dry inside. Even the lower hemisphere, dripping in sauce, begun disintegration like a boton rice candy. It would slowly become palpable chunks like a sponge that’d been run down the fine edge of a cheese grater. Even wet it was dry. Being one of the biggest burger buns to ever grace my trap, it sure was a chore to choke through. I regret having not purchased a beverage.
I got some fries on the side which were a decent deal before having tried them. For a dollar and a half, they’re priced like almost any fast food joint. Sadly they weren’t as good: I’ve never added salt to food on a plate in my life but I would have had I been so prepared. The texture theme held consistent. A strange browning effect points toward a unique choice of frying oil, as did the firm but non-​crispy surfaces.
I’ve had much worse things to eat and overall it wasn’t a horrible experience, I was simply given no reason to come back… grass-​fed, aged, uncured or otherwise.

The prices were a little higher than usual to donate a decent amount to the seau foundation.
Upon stumbling on their site, their regular price of under 9 bucks for grass fed burgers is unreal. If you don’t know much about grass fed meat, basically most cattle in the USA are corn fed. They have a certain taste and have that marbling on them. Grass fed meat are cows fed only with grass and natural foods to the cows. So their meat is different tastes, a ill gamey, has high CLA and other actual health benefits to eating grass fed beef. They are difficult to master cooking as the meat retains so much heat and can easily be overcooked. and they are normally eaten medium and it wouldn’t be bad for your health to eat it medium just an FYI. So appreciate the quality of beef you are getting as 1lb of grass fed beef runs about 4.99−6.99 per lb.
Their portion was awesome and the chipotle on the burger was perfect. And cooked perfectly. The meat obviously kept its heat and was impressed at their choice of buns and grilled onions.
Their fries were ordinary at best but well cooked and not soggy nor over fried. The girls were friendly and I’m sure to check them out again when ever they are somewhat near mission valley.
In the meantime, I don’t under stand how these girls stay so skinny surrounded by burgers and fries.

I have visited this truck twice now and figured it was time for a review!
I have had both the Greek and the Gouda burger here and they were both fantastic! If you are a skeptic on how much genuinely good ingredients can improve a burger then you need to stop in here. Everything from the bun, to the vegis, meat and toppings is top notch, locally sourced, organic yadda yadda yadda… But it all adds up to a really Bitchin Burger! I must really single out the Greek burger though… I am not normally a fan of cucumbers, and I really enjoyed them on the Greek burger. Super tasty, Super Fresh…
And if I catch you grabbing a burger here WITHOUT trying the sweet fries with the chipolte aioli (say it with me… a i o l i) then we are going to have words…

Very nice and clean food truck service burgers. The best part is its all organic. They use all local produce. I like supporting local business. Their beef is grass fed beef.
These guys stop in front of my work, and nothing has come around here except the burrito truck in the mornings thats gross looking. Anyways needed to try them while I had the chance. The price is 8.50. You can either get one of their 4 signature burgers. The forth being a vegetarian with a portabella mushroom as the pattie. Or get a 2 burger slider with a side of fries. I optied for the sliders. Tried a burger and the portabella. I was surprised the portabella was so good, but the chipotle burger was much better. I
That said its just a trial run today, so hopefully they’ll come back, but I did find out they are at my favorite brew awry weekly. IRON FIST. The poeple are nice and friendly so if not, I know where to find them on Thursday nights.
If you see them. stop by and get something from them! Its worth it.

I often find Bitchin’ Burgers at Green Flash Brewery in Mira Mesa. Genius place to have your food truck.
I’ve had the Chipotle Gouda Burger and the Fried Egg Burger. If you get the Fried Egg Burger, be prepared for a gooey mess! The burgers are pretty good, but I’m not a big fan of their buns.

I tried out Bitchin’ Burgers when they were at Green Flash Brewery. Burgers and beer… good combo right? Well, I am going to say that the chipotle burger I had was pretty good. The spice was all in the meat. I don’t remember there being any special sauce but I was buzzed. This burger also comes with bacon. I tried my boyfriend’s bacon cheeseburger and I kinda wanted that one instead. I also got a side of sweet potato fries which were also good. Mostly everyone was buying burgers although I did see hot dogs on the menu.
Here come the downsides: it is expensive! I spent around $ 22 for two burgers and fries. I understand that the beef is supposedly grass fed and all. but that is way too much just for a burger. Our food also took around 25 minutes to come out. I know it’s a food truck and maybe they don’t have the capacity or manpower to churn out the burgers quickly, but they are just burgers. Unfortunately, when people have been drinking and they don’t serve food at the brewery, they have little choice but to eat at the food trucks there.
I give ³⁄₅ stars because the food was good. Not amazing but good. The server was also very friendly.

I tried Bitchin Burgers at Brewing Network 6^th Anniversary Party at White Labs last night. I had the shroom burger slider, regular fries, and sweet potato fries.
The shroom burger is literally a mushroom burger… or, literally a mushroom sandwich. I was expecting a veggie burger patty, but this was just a piece of portabella mushroom. It also had lettuce, tomato, and gouda cheese. The gouda made the sandwich. It was good, but a bit pricey ($ 8.50 for the full sized one, or $ 8.50 for two sliders).
My friends got the full sized shroom burger, and said the shroom wasn’t cooked enough so it was stringy when they bit into it — they were not fans.
The fries were good, but nothing special. I actually saw a plastic bag on the counter that they were getting the fries out of, so they aren’t fresh-​cut or anything. Just normal fries. Same with the sweet potato fries. Some kind of special dipping sauces would take the fries up a few notches, but for $ 1.50 for regular fries and $ 2-​something for sweet potato fries, I’m definitely not complaining.
My old man had the fried egg burger slider, and he thought it was great. He will only eat grass fed, organic, sustainable, all natural, blah blah blah beef, so a burger is a rare treat for him, and he enjoyed this slider.
I’d be willing to give it another shot. The order-​taker was very friendly, and the cooks were working their butts off to keep up with the never-​ending line.

All Organic, Amazing quality for a mobile food truck… Did I mention, All organic local grown produce and only organic grass fed beef is used. I had the pleasure of meeting the owner while they parked and served up some great burgers at Iron Fist Brewery. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
I ordered the Chipotle Gouda burger and I must say I was very impressed. You can taste the difference because of the quality and care that went into making this edible art. I will be following them around when I get the craving for a truly great burger… check out the website
