Brennan’s heating and air conditioning

I should have know to cancel the request to install a new heating/​cooling system in the house the minute they called us to tell us they were on «another nightmare installation» and will be a few days late. When they finally showed up to install the system I knew why they were called «nightmare installations» … They were not prepared at all. I guess they just recommend the best unit for the house without making sure everything fits right. When they were ready to hoist the unit into the attic, it was almost a foot too long in all directions. My bad again for not kicking them out. Now we have to re-​repair the area they made larger to accommodate the new units. After the job was finished they left a big box of trash for us to haul off. Being a disabled veteran, this is no easy task.
After having the system through both cycles for over a year, the system has never worked and is leaking. The furnace will not heat the house more than 2 degrees before shutting the heat source off and running the fan for 60 minutes to cool down. The A/​C unit has a leak and leaked out 50% of the freon after 2 years. They refused to fix the issues. Another company found that the regulator was set for propane pressure and not natural gas. Problem fixed! (But not by Brennan). Stay away at all costs.
Update: We decided to move and upon having a qualified home inspector check out the house, they found troubling issues with the furnace unit. The biggest issue is that instead of installing an outlet near the unit, they used a temporary extension cord and plugged it into the attic lighting fixture. The other major issue was that there was one common drain instead of 2, and the drain vent was installed on the wrong side of the trap. This took too much time and money to correct and I wish I had paid someone else to inspect it upon completion of the job.
The worst part is that I wrote a review (not a formal complaint) over at the BBB, and he told the BBB that he did not have me listed as a customer, so they deleted my review! We even have the receipt!

Came to us a referral, did a fantastic job and we’ve recommended him several times however this past week our system had a leak. Tried calling both phone numbers but you can’t leave a message, email bounced back too.
Are they still in business?

I have been using and recommending Tim for over 12 years. He is professional, courteous and honest… and best of all his prices cannot be beat. Not having a middleman, he is able to keep his prices low. His integrity is top notch too — if he can fix something rather than replace it, he will tell you (unlike many other companies). As a real estate broker I have referred him to numerous clients over the years, as well as neighbors and friends — everyone has been highly satisfied with his services. He even installed AC in my own home years ago. The one drawback is that when he gets super busy it is hard to get an appointment (he is planning on hiring someone soon to focus on appointments and service calls), but you will not be unhappy with the quality of the service.

I had an estimate from Tim Brennan’s HVAC service, through seller’s real estate agent/​property manager.
The estimate was pretty good for a replacement of furnace.
When I emailed him to schedule to replace the furnace, he said the estimate is too low.
And that’s it.
No return call, No email reply.
Not professional, Not responsible. Not a reliable company.

I give Tim 1 star for coming out to install a $ 10,000 mini split system with 4 mini splits.
He came to me as a referral from a friend who has unfortunately passed away. The install went well. 1 star. 3 of the four four mini split’s pump died. After Tim came to fix one of the mini split pumps, he decided that he had spent too much of his time and money taking care of his install and his customer and has avoided me ever since. I have spent $ 5000 to have the units fixed, relocated and fixed again. After telling me he was going out of business and having to work for other HVAC companies, I had to find someone to fix the problem. Now, I see all these glowing reviews for his «Service» and called him back to say, «hey, thought you were out of business». I told him again I am having issues and asked him to honor his 10 year warranty!
Silence, no return call, absolute silence.
It’s fantastic to have a 10 year warranty. Tim is a nice guy, if nothing goes wrong, but don’t expect him to stand behind his word. It’s only good when he’s installing and collecting the money! What a shame! Learn from my experience.

I highly recommend this company. They are the most honest, reliable and experienced repair men I’ve come across. They have a customer for life in me.

My 6 yr old AC unit stopped working a few months ago. I first had another company I found on Unilocal come out and was told the compressor had seized and I needed a brand new unit which would be well over $ 2200. Because my unit is not that old I decided to get a second opinion from Brennan. Tim came out and was able to repair my unit for a very reasonable price. Very honest and experienced guy. Thank you for a job well done.

I had Tim come out to fix an ancient heater. The service was prompt, professional, and I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. I also felt the rates charged were very reasonable.

I really feel they go above and beyond to get to the property on time and find out what is wrong with the furnace or airconditioner. I also find their prices to be very reasonable. I would highly recommend this company if you have a furnace or a/​c unit that needs repair or replacing.
