I’ve bought two pieces of art, and several greeting cards from COAL. I go in to look, and can’t help but come out with something. It is so great to have a place like this near my office, where I can find something original as a gift rather than going to a mall. I also think it’s a wonderful way to support local artists. I’ll keep going back!

This league is over 50 years old and is just a wonderful asset to the community. Any league that supports art is up my alley. The league began to promote art education and cultural appreciation of fine art in the communities of Carlsbad and neighboring Oceanside. It features monthly shows of their members work. Membership is a small fee and the artist must work ½ day a month in the gallery.
They also sponser the wonderful Art on the Ocean event where the artisits display their works on the lawns of nearby Carlsbad Inn so that visitors can view and purchase the works.
