I had the unfortunate experience of having to interact with this agent during the sale of my home. Not only is she incredibly rude and obnoxious, she is also a bully. I can not say she made the experience pleasant for anyone. She seemed to make the experience stressful for all parties involved.
This was our 6^th real estate transaction in 4 years, so we are pretty familiar with buying and selling properties and have worked with many agents. While we did have an agent representing us for this sale, we have also sold on our own. Fortunately for us, our agent was able to buffer us from direct dealings with Ms Marshall most of the time. Even so, I can safely say this was the most unpleasant transaction of any.
Despite how difficult she made the whole transaction, what really was the icing on the cake was when she derailed the sale less than 2 days before closing. During the final walk through she didn’t like one of the agreed HOMEOWNER minor cosmetic repairs, and basically talked her buyers into considering walking away from the deal (who were living in temporary accommodation and had signed their loan paperwork). Incidentally, it was a cosmetic repair noted as non urgent /​non essential on their property inspection report. Each interaction with this agent cost us more money, which if you use her as your agent, might appeal to you, however, most prefer smooth transactions and low stress over greed.
During our walk through, she was so incredibly rude, I came close to throwing her out of my home, and perhaps I should have since she left a crater on my sofa cushion when she made herself at home without asking. She left everyone present gobsmacked and her own clients left looking incredibly distraught. A «good» agent would not do that. She had no solutions, just problems and criticism, and left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth. The next time we sell a property, if her name comes up, we will not consider her clients offers at all. The whole experience was miserable and frankly, if OUR agent hadn’t saved the day, we would have let them walk rather than deal with her one more time.
