Their dental practice is located in La Costa, Carlsbad and is convenient to San Elijo Hills, San Marcos, Encinitas, Vista and Oceanside. They believe in gentle and conservative comprehensive dentistry, utilizing advanced technology. Both dentists strive to maintain dental excellence through their continuing education courses and specialty training in CEREC one visit porcelain crowns, ClearCorrect orthodontics, Acceldent, Dental Implants, Sedation Dentistry, Cosmetic Dentistry, Laser Dentistry, Mercury Removal, Endodontics, Oral Surgery and ZOOM whitening. Both doctors focus on providing the highest quality of patient care and take the time to focus and listen to their patients in order to adequately address their needs and concerns. Both dentists believe in the importance of prevention, providing gentle and conservative dentistry in a relaxed and compassionate environment. Their office is a beautiful and boutique dental practice that accepts most dental insurances. In 2015, Elevated Smiles received the Patients’ Choice Award from OpenCare. In 2016, both Dr. Luu and Dr. Saw received awards for being one of the Top Dentists in America.

Elevated Smiles General & Cosmetic Dentistry opened in August 2015.

The general and cosmetic dental practice is owned by husband and wife, Dr. Thanh Luu and Dr. Tina Saw. Both Dr. Luu and Dr. Saw obtained their Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Loma Linda University in California. Both dentists are active in the San Diego County Dental Society, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association. They continually seek to expand their knowledge and education and provide excellent, conservative and gentle care to all their patients with the most advanced and latest technology.

Through hard work and dedication, Dr. Luu and Dr. Saw built their dental practice from scratch. They would love to see you and your family in their new family-​owned and operated dental practice.

Business Owner

Dr. Tina Saw was born and raised in Olympia, Washington. She is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Loma Linda University’s School of Dentistry, where she was top of her class clinically. Dr. Saw believes in taking the time to get to know each of her patients and understanding their needs and concerns. She is able to put patients at ease with her kindness and compassion. Dr. Saw utilizes the latest and most modern dental technology to provide the utmost care possible. Her office is gorgeous and does not look like the typical standard dental office. The office is filled with terrariums, orchids and succulents alongside large TV screens to watch movies while getting general and cosmetic procedures completed.

Dr. Thanh Luu is a Southern California native. He graduated from University of California Los Angeles and later attended Loma Linda University, where he met his wife, Dr. Saw. Dr. Luu believes in minimizing pain and fear. They are expecting their first son this June.

To put it simply, I had a great experience at Elevated Smiles. Dr. Luu, Jodi, and Cynthia were extremely courteous, caring, and efficient in providing superior dental care.
Being new to the area, I researched many of the local dental offices and found this office provided me with the family atmosphere that I had set out to find.
I am happy I found Dr. Luu, Jodi, and Cynthia. I give them an «A+»

I have seen many dentists in my life and Dr. Luu is one of the best. My dental insurance changed so I had to find a new doc in my network. I am glad that I chose to make an appointmnent at Elevated Smiles. He takes his time explaining all of the findings and why he would treat it a certain way. He does not try to upsell you. The staff were great and the facilities modern and clean.
If you are looking for a new dentist, I would highly recommend Dr. Luu at Elevated Smiles.

I’ll be honest, I’m terrified of going to the dentist. Have no fear though, everyone here is amazing and Dr. Saw is one of the friendliest people I’ve ever met. Follow her suggestions because it paid off big for me and my mouth has never felt better! They even have tv’s and Netflix in each room which I had never seen at another dental office. I’ve already referred my wife and coworkers so stop procrastinating and go see them.

Great new dental office! Located next to CVS in La Costa, the office is bright and well-​equipped. Jody at the receptionist is warm and helpful. They are very accommodating with schedules. Kristen is an efficient hygienist. Dr. Saw is very friendly and very knowledgable.

Great dental office. My wife and I made our first appointment and we were very pleased to find a very detailed and thorough dentist — Dr. Saw. They were also well equipped with the latest high tech equipment. Dr. Saw was very observant and thorough with our examinations and made great recommendations as well as what we need to address and keep an eye on. Kristen — the dental assistant, was very good and Jody the office manager was great to work with as well. We are very pleased to finally find a great dental office as well as being very near our house. It seems very good dental offices are very hard to come by, but this one is great… so far.

This group is excellent! I woke in the middle of the night on a Saturday with a terrible tooth ache and by Sunday morning I was in unbearable pain. I didn’t think there was any chance I’d find a dentist open. I opened Unilocal and typed in“urgent dentist” and saw Elevate. From the moment I connected on he phone, I was put at ease. I was fit right into the morning schedule that hour. The office staff were so friendly and professional. The doctor was gentle and efficient. I was so relieved! I can’t say enough about this experience! If you need a new dentist, don’t look any further. Oh, clean doesn’t cover this office. This place is immaculate.

I was traveling for work and decided to pick a fight with a rock. Two of my teeth were busted very badly. I started to feel the discomfort the next morning. It was a Sunday, so most of the dentists were closed, but I was very fortunate to find Elevated Smile, which was open on Sunday. I scheduled an appointment on the very same day and got both of my teeth fixed ON THE VERY SAME VISIT!
Dr. Luu and Dr. Saw are both very professional and patient. They explained the procedures and why they were doing the procedures. I am beyond satisfied with the result.
In the scale of five stars I would give them ten, but Unilocal is not letting me to do so.

Cannot emphasize enough how much everyone in their office shows how much they care I received a phone call from two people in the office checking to make sure I was feeling okay after I had a wisdom tooth removed the fact they would take the time to do this is amazing and should be an example of how all dental offices should be

I’ve gone back to Dr. Saw’s practice a couple of times since last year. Each time I like this place more and more. Amber, their office manager is great! She know’s her stuff and explains everything related to billing in detail. She is very patient and makes you feel at home when you enter the practice.
I’m adding another review to this practice because aside from helping me they also helped my mom a lot. She had gone to another doctor but they wouldn’t give her a treatment plan until she paid an additional $ 500 to what she had already paid on her first visit. I found this somewhat sketchy so I suggested that she get checked out by Dr. Saw or Dr. Luu.
Dr. Luu happened to be free and explained her situation. Turns out she had to have a lot of work done immidiately and needed to replace an old bridge that could lead to more critical issues. My mom was extremely happy with Dr. Luu! He explained everything is a manner that was clear to her,
She had been worried about her teeth for months and he calmed her and began working on her teeth the next week.
We highly recommend Elevated Smiles. They are amazing doctors but above all they are exceptional human beings. To them you’re more than just another patient. They actually want to get to know who you are and that to me is priceless!
If you need a dentist this is the place to go! I live in National City but this place is worth the drive!

Wonderful Dentist and great location! My husband and I recently moved to Carlsbad and were skeptical of finding a new dentist. We both worked for a great dentist in Hillcrest and are fully aware of what can and do go on behind closed doors. I decided on Elevated Smiles due to the location, reviews, and the pretty pictures on their site (not much you can go on when looking for a new dentist except luck). Being a young dentist can be good or bad but I figured I’d give them a chance and go from there. Luckily I made the right choice and don’t have to look any further.
The location is prime (right next to CVS), new building and amble parking and very close to where we live. They’re on the second floor next to the children’s dentist and once you walk in you are hit with a sense of calm and beauty. The office is beautiful. Great color scheme, chic furniture, and open floor plan. All the equipment is new and the sterilization area is new, clean, and organized (trust me, this is a must in a dental office). A lot of thought and love went into this office and I know it wasn’t cheap. This office is in it for the long haul and they are confident in their abilities and love what they do.
The office manager, Amber, has had many years in the dental field so she’s very knowledgeable on what is needed to make a dental office function smoothly for the dental team as well as for their patients. Amber was friendly, competent, and honest. They’re lucky to have her.
Their dental assistant, Kristen, was friendly and efficient. She knew how to take xrays and to make you feel at ease (trust me, that isn’t always the case).
Since our appointment was on Sunday, we got to have Dr. Luu for our Dentist. He was approachable, smart, and very thorough. He wanted to get to know you the person, before he got to know your teeth/​mouth. He definitely knew his stuff and wanted you to be aware of your dental health as well. He never pushed you one way or the other, he just seemed to genuinely care about you and your dental needs. He also spoke to you in layman’s terms so you wouldn’t be confused or lectured. I felt like I was in great hands with Dr. Luu and trusted his judgement. He was very gentle, thorough, and honest.
I highly recommend Dr. Luu and his staff!

Dr. Saw and the dental staff at Elevated Smiles for a new dental practice are very professional and know their business. They are caring, helpful and go that extra step. The office is very very nice and comfortable. Amber the office manager really explains the services and goes out of her way to help you.
Highly recommended if you are thinking about a new dentist. The location is great too just across from the new La Costa Town Center.

I have to tell you if your looking for a New Dentist or just want a change of pace, look no further. I went back to Elevated Smiles for my routine check up.
Here’s the scoop, as I walked in I was greeted by the receptionist before I could say I had an appointment Amber came around the counter and asked if I would like a beverage. Then we talked a minute, the assistant came to escort me to my room. Once in the room I was offered a pillow, beverage, and or a blanket. Then the assistant put my favorite show on as she remembered from my last visit. The office always has the best music playing. The doctor came in and as always Dr. Saw was great, she has a soft touch and my cleaning was a good one. I was so happy to see the entire staff once again. The greatest part of the visit was I felt like family. I even forgot I was having my cleaning.
As always never a wait time. Greeted as I walked in and seated right away. The office looks wonderful. Have a look for your self.
The office was spotless, warm inviting and alway a happy place to visit. I have never wanted to visit my dentist so much.

My previous dentist, in VERY close proximity to Elevated Smiles, was a fee for service based office where you pay up front then (hopefully) get refunded a portion (very small) from your insurance. Not what I like, so I decided to try their competitor, Elevated Smiles.
The office is beautifully designed so it neither looks nor feels like a dentist office. They have state of the art equipment (crowns done while you watch!), & Netflix too!
At reception, Amber makes you feel like family, she is so warm & friendly. She is efficient & knowledgeable about insurance coverage.
Kristen took my X-rays…fast & painless! Super sweet. Dr. Saw did both my consult & cleaning herself. It was refreshing to have the dentist spend time on me rather than the obligatory 2 min post cleaning check. She was thorough going over my X-​rays, & at the end of my appt, didn’t try to «upsell» me on extra, pricey, unnecessary work. I went in thinks no I couldn’t ever afford clear braces, & came out signed up & ready to start. It’s not cheap, but it is sent as pricey as I’ve been quoted in the past!
I am so thrilled that I tried Elevated Smiles w/​Dr. Saw & Dr. Luu. My teens have appointments, my hubby is changing over to Elevated Smiles as well…& anyone else I can tell. They have a great referral program too! Definitely check them out… I’ll post pics of my straight teeth after treatment!

So. i accidentally broke my tooth yesterday, when i went to visit my cousin, and had to go
immediately to a dentist, i was looking for an office that accepts walk-​ins and could do treatment the same day. Found this little place, its a little bit secluded tho, and theres a lot of offices around dat you can get mistaken, but when i found it, i was happy that i decided to go there. Dr. Luu took really good care of me, he made me a crown in less than 2hrs, no temporaries which is awesome. The facility is soo nice, very high-​tech, his wife even works there lol. I would definately recommend this place… I really appreciate dr. luu seeing me and focusing on what i needed dat instant :)

This dental office is definitely different from the rest of the others in Carlsbad or La Costa. The first thing I notice is how bright, clean and surprising down to earth the office feels. Their rooms have these glass sliding doors that i want in my home now and btw, the bathroom is huge! I got a chance to met amber, Christian — I think that is how she spelt it, and Dr. Saw. They were all very professional but at the same time down to earth. They told me what I needed, and even recommended against other things I thought I needed. They even gave me options. Everything was explained to me in a clear way that is easy to understand. The best part was that they have flexible hours because they were able to see me after work and even on weekends. Pretty neat for a dental office. Dr. Saw and Dr. Luu gets points in my book as the best dentist

Well I cannot say enough about this practice. I am really happy to have such talent in the neighborhood. I have been looking for a dentist to replace mine who retired last year and I found Dr. Tina Saw. She is so gentle, does amazing work, and accepts my insurance. This new office should be beautiful and high tech I am looking forward to transitioning all my treatment to the new suite. Really great care!
