DO NOT go to this place! I went against all the warnings and suggestions to stay away from the Encinitas location and got myself a membership. They SHUT DOWN their location with not a word to anyone– just POOF they are gone. The only reason I got the membership was because it was so close to my house. Now they are charging me for a location that does not even exist! I only found out they were shut down was because I have a few leftover massages to use and wanted to get something scheduled. I call the number only to find out they are not in business in Encinitas anymore. When I called the only working number on their website the girl gave me a spew of bullshit that I’m sure was written down for her to recite when pissed off people called in. I have been trying to cancel my membership but they continue to debit my account. I have left a message for the owners for some sort of response but nothing yet.
I have been managing small businesses my entire career and I am baffled by how this company is run. They have zero business ethics or morals. I have learned from my mistakes… Listen to the warnings on Unilocal… avoid this place!!!

Going to cancel my membership. For the 3^rd– count it– 3^rd time, I made an appointment only to arrive and be told the massage therapist didn’t show up or they double booked and I would have to reschedule. It’s hard enough anymore getting an appointment so you can imagine my disappointment.
The second time this happened I was told the owner would call me to discuss the situation. She never called.
I was an original member when they first opened in La Costa and thought they were very good. It has since steadily gone down hill

I had a Groupon and went here for I lipo. It was a huge waste of time and money. I lipo have no real effect. The woman that administers it had a bad and sometimes combative bedside manner.

Just had an amazing massage here! I highly recommend this place, the décor and environment is beautiful/​peaceful! They have a great introductory rate you should definitely take advantage of :) I went with two of my friends, who unfortunately didn’t feel as satisfied with their massage experience so be mindful of which massage therapist you are seen by. On that note… I HIGHLY recommend Veronica, she’s seriously the nicest/​sweetest person and not to mention she gave me one of the best massages I’ve had :)

This place might be ok if you have very low expectations. My experience was very disappointing and when I expressed this to the receptionist she stared at me blankly. The room I was in was the size of a broom closet and connected to the reception area where I could hear every phone call and conversation that was happening. It felt like the massage was taking place in the lobby. The massage started late and ended early and was not the type of massage I requested when I booked the appointment. I’m also not a fan of the fact that they ask for a credit card even if you pay cash.

I belonged to Heartworks for several years. They closed their La Costa location, and it was no longer convenient for me to go. I signed a cancellation request in Aug 2016 and thought everything was fine. As of today 5÷13÷16, I cannot get my refund. Additionally, they continued to sweep monthly payments from my account, and now I cannot get a manager or anyone to help. I have called 10 times, left 5 messages, and emailed their coorp office. I am now warning people of their poor practices. Do not set up any recurring payments with this company. Even if THEY CLOSE their location, they will charge you, and never help you to get your refund. I wish I could give zero stars. I will also be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. This is a slimy company you should not do business with.

Phenomenal service and professionalism.
I have only received a few massages in my life but they were all deep tissue due to my repetitive motion and heavy lifting/​standing I do for work. I also have only received massages from women so when I came here only CJ was available so I was a little concerned receiving a massage from a guy, but after the massage I will definitely return and ask for him personally. CJ alleviated a lot of my sore and tight muscles that my previous massages didn’t reach.
The front staff was professional and nice, and CJ even asked questions about my work and tight areas to be able to give a quality massage do get the best returns out of an hour massage. I have a high pain tolerance so CJ really was able give me a deep tissue massage that I could feel.
The hot towel was also an unexpected bonus :).
I will return no doubt.

The entire staff is so kind and professional! The owner Brenda really goes above and beyond to make sure that her customers have an exceptional experience. After chatting with her about the styles of massage I enjoy she personally recommended a therapist who gave me an incredible massage. You can tell they truly care about their customers and I recommend Heartworks to anyone looking for an awesome massage, attention to detail, and great customer service!

I was very, very lucky to have my friend treat me to a hour-​long full-​body massage here. I had written down that I had back pain and annoying neck pain before my session. I’m usually a little nervous/​insecure before massages but the woman who gave me my massage gave me options about how to tackle my neck pain and patiently laid out exactly what she was going to do when I said I had no idea what I wanted. I really appreciated knowing what I was getting into. I will note that during the massage there were some crashes and bangs since the actual massage room isn’t floor-​to-​ceiling (therefore not soundproof). However, the whole experience still merits 5 stars from me because the neck pain that had been bothering me for months finally went away and has stayed away for about 3 days since the massage.

Where do I begin? Aside from having the rudest owner I have EVER encountered the staff there (while their intentions are good) are rather incompetent as well. The previous owner of their La Costa location was such a wonderful and delightfully helpful woman. She cared for her therapists, clients and community. Sadly, that location had to close due to the new Equinox (which I Love) coming into that shopping center. Well, with the loss of that location also came with the loss of almost ALL of their qualified massage therapists. Luckily if you want to see some of your old Heartworks favorite therapists they are still around locally (and for less than Heartworks charges as they have gone independent) Message me if your interested in finding out who/​where you can go now. The new owner fraudulently charged my card $ 199+ and was SO RUDE in trying to remedy the problem after his staff and I have patiently tried to reverse the chargers since FEB. so 3 months. He even told me to call me cc company and say they were fraudulent. So thanks a lot. Now both my husbands’ and my card have been cancelled and have to be reissued… no inconvenience at all!!! So sadly I write this review… honestly I have NEVER been so compelled to write a scathing review of any company… I do not believe in spreading negativity. «If you have nothing nice to say… don’t say anything at all» right? Well, in this case I have made an exception due to the owner of Paseo del Norte location. He should really rethink his practices and business choices, no wonder all the good therapists left.

I have been going to Heartworks for the past few months for massage services, and it is WONDERFUL. The facilities at the Carlsbad location are beautiful and my masseuse, Monique is absolutely amazing! She has single-​handedly helped me turn my stress around in the most kind, intuitive and gentle but firm way. The practitioners there are true healers and the environment is calm, unrushed and professional. I highly recommend everyone I know to Heartworks Massage and Body Spa in Carlsbad.

I stopped in the other night after my yoga class. walked in to get some information regarding the specials they have on massages. When I approached the front desk it reeked of smoke. TOTAL TURN OFF!!! when I tried to get information I couldn’t get a simple answer. she gave a long sales pitch about so many other things I couldn’t wait to just get out of there. don’t think I’ll ever go to this place again

I stopped by today to check out this location. I always go to the bakery downstairs and I wanted to see if there were any specials on massages. I talked to an associate named Cerra and she was extremely helpful and 5 stars on customer service. I will be coming back to make an appointment soon! Thanks!

I called last minute and really needed a massage. I’m 12 weeks pregnant and got a prenatal massage. Aaron was so attentive to my needs and made me feel very comfortable. I am used to deep tissue massages, and I was worried that I wouldn’t get enough pressure with a prenatal massage, but I definitely did. I think I found my new massage place and will be returning again!

I visited their newest location for the Grand Opening. I had an excellent massage provided by Jack. The spa is beautiful. I was treated with courtesy and attentiveness. I will definitely be back for more relaxing treatments.
