Kimberley W.

Business Owner

Kimberley received her Masters of Science in a Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College in Oriental Medicine, San Diego campus. While interning there, she treated patients at Rady Children’s Hospital and the San Diego Cancer Center (currently the UCSD Morris Cancer Center).

Kim is also nationally certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Before attending Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, Kimberley earned her Doctorate in Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, a Masters degree in Secondary Education from San Francisco State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Asian American Studies from UC Berkeley.

When Kimberley is not working in her Carlsbad office, she can be found: going to the gym (spin, zumba, U-​Jam), running, exercising, cooking, reading, and traveling.

I went to kimberley with unpleasant physical symptoms as a cpnsequence of an emotional problem. She listened carefully to my description of the symptoms and gave me her treatment — outside her usual working hours. She showed me great kindness and the next day i felt more grounded, healthier and better prepared to cope with my situation. Im greateful for Kimberley Woos treatment and glad to have met her. I would recommend her highly.

Kim is great! I have lower back issue from sitting too long at a 10-​day training. She asked my condition and checked my chi. Then she started the treatment on the back side and front side. She tried to release my tension around lower back and enhanced chi circulation. It works! My posture returns normal. It is great to know someone I can trust here. :) Thank you!

My son (9 years old) had a pull to his neck and was slow to recover, pulling his head to the side. I had treatment for a foot injury in the past with Kimberley Woo and have a high regard for her knowledge, care and skill. She also treated my husband as he recovered from the diagnosis of Celiac disease. She not only educated our son as she explained the injury after taking a good medical history, but she also put him so at ease that he was willing to try acupuncture to help with the healing. For a kid that freaks out at even the mention of a flu shot, I was really impressed. 17 points later (they counted together) he was relaxed and smiling. Kimberley is amazing with both adults and children.

I have been seeing Kim for the past eight weeks for a hamstring injury and she has been amazing. After seeing several doctors, all who were not able to help me with my pain, I decided to try acupuncture with Kim. She is incredibly knowledgeable, and truly cares about helping me heal, alleviate my pain and get back to exercising the way I used to. Each time I leave her office, I feel a little better, and have improved so much from the time I started seeing her. Kim has been my biggest supporter. She is kind, and so gentle, and has been so much more than just my acupuncturist. She has helped me with my nutrition, my stretching, and my exercise. She takes the time to explain everything she is doing, and never makes me feel rushed. I highly recommend Kimberly to anyone who is thinking about acupuncture.

I found Kim through a nutritionist who had great things to say about Kim. I was looking for an acupuncturist to help with fertility since I had just moved to the area and wanted to try to get pregnant again. I am so glad I found her and am just about to deliver a second baby boy! Kim’s office is co-​located with a chiropractor and everyone is super friendly. Office is nice and clean, and Kim’s office is especially very soothing. (I fall asleep every time). Kim discusses health history and profile to get a read on what’s going (and gets an update before each appt) and then gives the treatment. She also has lots of other resources /​tips /​herbs to help. I worked with her for 5 months before getting pregnant but I’m sure it will be different for each person. I am SO lucky to have gotten to work with her and would go back again. She is fun and bubbly and I always look forward to seeing her!

I’ve been seeing Kimberley since May of 2014. I went to see her two days before Christmas because I was coming down with a sore throat. After seeing Kim I was better and managed to stay healthy even though my entire family was sick for the Holidays and still all have it! I go to Kim once a month to keep my immune system strong and keep everything else in balance. Great bedside manner!

Over the past year and a half, I’ve seen Kimberley Woo for pain in my groin, back and shoulder. I also went to her following hip reconstruction surgery which was causing crazy sciatic pain. Every time I see her my pain is either reduced or eliminated.
Kimberley is very warm and friendly and makes me feel like she truly cares about helping me — a stark contrast to many of my experiences with mainstream healthcare. She really understands the paths within our bodies and often recommends specific dietary and mental changes I can make to help me heal.
If you’re new to acupuncture, the experience can be a little intimidating. Kim walks you through that process in a gentle way. She listens and hears what your situation is and works to finds the best possible solution.
I am constantly recommending her to everyone I know.

I went to Kimberley Woo for a plantar fasciitis. She has been very patient and thoughtful in her care. We did six treatments and I found 80% improvement in a very short period of time. She has been most helpful. I am still mending but know it is much better, much quicker, due to her treatments. I would highly recommend her. I am truly amazed how much her treatments helped with overall healing.

My sister referred me to Kimberley for treatment of sciatica. Kimberley was more than generous with her time and very thorough in her initial assessment of my condition. This was my first experience with acupuncture and I was a bit apprehensive at first (not being a fan of needles). However, she made sure to make me comfortable. The needles are so small, that in my session, I didn’t even realize they had been applied. In the end, my visit was great and I plan to continue with her. Upon parting, she gave me comprehensive tips on stretches, dietary aides and other techniques so that I may help myself between visits. I highly recommend Kimberly.

I was refereed to Kimberly by my orthopedic surgeon after disc and nerve related neck and lower back surgeries. Being that this was my first experience with acupuncture I was a little apprehensive. When I arrived at my consultation Kimberly made me feel completely comfortable and at ease with the process. After listening to my symptoms she put together a specific plain to maximize the benefits of acupuncture. Each week she determines how my body is responding and adjust the treatments accordingly. She has really gone above and beyond researching techniques to add to my treatments. She has an exceptional demeanor and comforting personality. I really look forward to my weekly appointments. The results have been great and my body has really responded. I strongly recommend her.
