Kristina opened her first studio, San Diego Wedding Candids, in 1999. She updated her studio name to Kristina Chartier Photography in 2008 as her work evolved from just wedding photography to portraiture and commercial work. Her boutique studio is located in the charming Village of Carlsbad.

Kristina may be a decent photographer, but she made the whole event very unpleasent with her sarcasm. She was pregnant at that time, but has to realize that this is a special day for friends and family too. Being nice to the bride is not the only thing. I would never use or recommend her. Im posting this late because I forgot to save but wanted to share

Kristina did an amazing job photographing our wedding at the Catamaran Resort. We chose her because of her high recommendation by our wedding planner, Melissa Barrad. We were looking for a photographer who takes fun, brightly colored images, full of emotion and she was perfect! Many guys (including my husband) aren’t very good at looking natural for posed pictures, so I wanted a photographer who could help him relax and also capture candid moments of him. She was great with lighting, working with various personalities, and guiding us while not making the photos look posed. She was completely non-​invasive during the ceremony and reception but was still able to get gorgeous close ups and wide shots. The best part of our photography package was a large metal print for our wall. The metal makes all the colors in the image pop! I highly recommend adding that to your package :) So many of our guests have told me how amazing the pictures are from our wedding — these pictures are some of the best that many people have ever had taken of them! We will treasure our photos and the memories they captured for the rest of our lives.

Kristina was amazing to work with for our destination wedding. Photos came out wonderful. Magazine quality photos. Kristina is the real deal. Hire her if you want gorgeous photos that folks will talk about long after the wedding day. She’s so easy to work with too, especially from a distance in our instance. By far the most professional wedding vendor I worked with. A++++++ :-)

Kristina is an amazing photographer! After tragically having terrible wedding photographs by a different, inexperienced photographer, we found Kristina and had her take «redos» of us at Scripps pier. The photos were incredible! I wish I could’ve gone back in time and had her photograph our wedding, but the redos were the next best thing. Lighting and styling was very natural and pristine. I looked through various wedding portfolios of hers to get an idea of where to shoot our pictures, and every single photograph was beautiful!
We have since had her photograph a maternity session and newborn shots for our baby boy. Both sets of photographs came out beautifully. I fully trust her to capture our most important life events!
