Great, fun, fabulous stay! We had SO much fun! Can’t wait to go back! Truly a treat. Surprises around every corner. Loved it!

The Legoland Hotel, while expensive, is certainly not the Grand Californian or Disneyland Hotel. It is cute and your kids will love it, but for the price, I expect more — like a room phone that works. And maybe touch up the paint on the walls in the room so I don’t feel like I’m in a college dorm room with dings, dents, and black marks. Also, the hallways all have this peculiar smell that is a cross between a gym locker room and a car air freshener.
I was disappointed considering the money we shelled out, but the kids couldn’t have cared less. The rooms are designed so that the kids feel like they’re in their own room, and they have their own tv. There is also a cool treasure chest the kids have to figure out the combo for and when they open it there are fun surprises. So, if you are doing it just for the kids, go ahead and stay. Just keep your expectations low.

First of all, I must say that my experience at Legoland Hotel was generally positive. The staff was nice, and my kids had a great time. That aside, my primary criticisms come front an adult perspective.
On that note, my dining experiences at Legoland Hotel were disappointing to say the least. After hitting the amusement park for several hours, we decided to have lunch at the Skyline Café. Ordered the fried calamari, salmon Caesar salad and fish tacos. Major mistake. The fish tacos were so rubbery I felt like they fried up chewing gum.

Hotel is a child’s dream! It’s like being on a cruise ship with lots of activities and kids everywhere. The employees are very polite, helpful and nice. And the access to the park is fantastic.
In this day of nutrition awareness, the food at Bricks restaurant needs to step it up. The choices at dinner are of days gone by, carving stations and soggy veggies. Nothing tasted fresh. And I saw an employee wearing a gloved hand pick up spilled veggies from the counter and put them back in the serving pan… not once, but on two separate occasions. YUCK! That’s just gross. No vegetarian soups either, that’s not hard to do.
The breakfast was alright, hard to mess that up.
We stayed in a pirate room and every detail was amazing. The kids loved it! And it was very clean!
If only you would clean up your dinner at Bricks, we may return.

We have been to the park previously, but just recently we stayed in the hotel for the first time. It was an amazing experience for my five year old! They had a package where they provided a suite, a 2 day hopper pass for 2 adult tickets, and 2 children’s tickets for $ 563 a night. If you stay one night, like we did (you can pickup tickets before your room is ready) you get an amazing deal since the adult tickets alone would have cost you $ 300. They had a princess dance party, magician show, tons of legos, a free gift in the room for the kids, etc. My daughter was obsessed with the hotel and wants to go back asap.

I think the Legoland owners overall did a great job with the Legoland Hotel. They went the opposite direction from what Disney did at their parks. At Disneyland, the Grand Californian, for example, limits the kitsch and offer a (relatively) low-​key rest but from the relentless branding inside their parks. Here Legoland embraces and doubles down on their branding. This place couldn’t be much more themed than it is, with a few exceptions noted below.
Our favorite detail was the disco elevator. It is such a small touch but it is huge for the customer experience. The elevator goes from a utilitarian vertical conveyance and it essentially turns into a special park ride. Every kid and adult going to and from their 2^nd and 3^rd floor rooms can’t help but dance. The disco elevators are brilliant, fun and somehow authentic.
We also loved our tricked-​out adventure room — the Lego sculptures and wall art, child-​height peep holes, built-​in toddler toilet seat, themed bunk beds (and trundle) all work great. Another huge high point was the awesome treasure hunt that leads to the secret combination to the in-​room treasure chest filled and then refilled on our 2^nd night with a complimentary Lego magazine, 2 Lego Mixels and 2 chocolate coins.
The hotel does fall down in a couple areas. First, it feels like they ran out of budget at the pool — with how themed out so much of the hotel is, the pool is straight out of any 1980s apartment building plus some cheap floating Lego bricks. I’m guessing this is to encourage people to buy a ticket to the Legends of Chima water park. The bar area adjacent to pool is better with its fun Lego-​styled awnings but it is still lacking. The hotel’s façade is similarly disappointing. If you can imagine the hotel without the colorful Lego block gingerbread stuck on top, you’d be left with a typical cookie-​cutter Marriott or Comfort Inn-​looking building. The hotel parking is also delineated from the regular Legoland spaces by a clanky and cheap chain link fence — another detail that they could have done something with but chose not to, presumably for budget reasons.
Second, inside the hotel the common areas feel too small. Between the reception area, bar, pirate ship play structure, Bricks Family Restaurant entrance and Skyline Café, it feels cramped. Lines build up to get into Bricks and the crowds can be hard to navigate. The hotel also needs a 3^rd elevator. That many rooms with high occupancy rates and lots of families all on similar Legoland-​focused schedules (as opposed to at a business hotel where the guests schedules would seem to vary more) really taxes the elevator capacity, leading to long waits and crowded conditions.
Third, our bathroom featured a decent shower, but we could have used a 2^nd sink — in a room that sleeps 5+, the single sink was a curious compromise. I also had trouble getting hot water in the single sink after my shower — not sure what that was about.
The Legoland Hotel is more than worth the cost premium to the other hotels around the park if you have the extra coin available. It is overrun with kids, though, so it is not a place I’d recommend for business travelers or folks without young children.

Have stood here 2 times back in February stood at the pirate theme room (my daughter choose it) now in May stood in the Adventure room (my son choose it). A little pricy but worth it, got a 10% discount since we are annual pass holders to theme park. I love that we have early access to the theme park which is right next to hotel, the hotel stay comes with complimentary breakfast (taste good), they have different kid activities at night. Since it was our second time staying we got our hotel fee waived as a courtesy. Will definitely splurge again. ITS ALL ABOUT THE KIDS at this hotel!!!

This place is awesome! Brought me back 30 years to those days all I worried about wax wetter I will be able to finish it all today or not :)
Well, we had a blast although my kids most likely will not remember any of it since they are pretty young and I do recommend for anyone coming to come when your kids are at least three if not four years old if you want them to have the real experience. other than that it’s really a well put together place and it’s a lot of fun for kids 4+ :)

Very clean room. The kids area is really nice with night lights and bunk beds and there very own tv. I can see why it is a bit $$$$.

Sure, call it a very colorful Holiday Inn which is overrun by ankle-​biters. Whatever.
It’s all about the kids. And kids absolutely love this place.
Lots of free activities at night for the kiddos, too, so get there at check-​in or even earlier.
Parking is included in the prices and you also get into the park an hour earlier than regular guests although you do not get access to the entire park.
The beds are soft. The guest room toilets also have potty seats. Beat that.
The breakfast buffet is pretty darn good and I am not a fan of buffets.
Room prices can be outrageous so plan carefully and book as far ahead as possible and you probably can strike a decent deal.
There’s a full bar downstairs, with decent mixed drinks, and the counter fellow who serves up the booze has a heavy hand. Bless him.

If you have children who enjoy Legos in any capacity, this hotel is a must! My little boys have had the absolute time of their lives staying here. When we went into the Legoland park, they just kept asking to go back and play at the hotel!
Everything caters to the children and they have really thought of everything. From the moment you check in the children are engaged in a scavenger hunt that ends with a safe in your room with Lego toys and chocolate coins. The lobby has a big castle and pirate ship with a moat full of Legos. They have building competitions, hero training, dance parties etc. Its so nice to be able to sit back and relax while the kids are completely engaged and entertained!

If I could give this place more stars I would. I haven’t yet stayed here but it’s right outside of Legoland!!! They have a great big castle and during the evenings they have short shows for the kids. Very interactive and engaging with the children. Right in the middle is where parents can sit, relax and sip on Pete’s coffee or a cocktail or a draft beer if some sort. You don’t have to stay here to enjoy the amenities!
The other side of the castle is a tv where you can ether watch sports or a Lego movie to your liking. One of my favorite and my sons favorite stop to go before we leave the theme park. The customer service is always great here.

The help here is wonderful

An absolute must for everyone with younger kids. The themed rooms are indescribable. The adventure room is a little scary for toddlers — my 3 and 1 year old panicked and screamed over the snakes and scorpions. The pirate room is my personal favorite. I’m pretty sure that I was more excited than the kids. The hotel has so many awesome activities for kids — like a magic show and a pajama dance party. Took the kids twice and can’t wait to go again!

A kid’s paradise hotel, that’s the best way I can describe Legoland Hotel. From check in to check out, we had a great time with our stay here.
We got a package from their website for 3 nights, Legoland tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids and breakfast buffet for 4. We upgrades to the Kingdom theme rooms from the standard Pirates room ($ 50 extra per night). It was a very pricey package, but well worth it.
The Kid’s Room:
OMG, it was a hit with my son and my nephew! The kids had a room to themselves. Decorated with knights and wizards on the wall. They had a bunk bed (which has a pull out bed at the bottom to accommodate a third child), their own TV and their favorite amenity, a kid’s safe. The room itself was tiny, but for the kids, it was plenty of room and they liked their own space.
The Kid’s Safe:
The front desk will give you a piece of paper with 4 clues to open the 4 digit safe. The combination, once solved is good for the duration of your stay. Each day, they left 2 Lego toys and 2 chocolate gold wrapped coins. As you can imagine, a toy a day for each of the kids made it a really good day.
The Adult Room:
Our amenities included a king size bed, a safe, a mini refrigerator, coffee maker and our own TV.
The décor was also medieval themed. They also had a lot of Lego artwork in the room (12, I counted) really nice pieces too.
The hotel offers entertainment for the kids at 8pm. When we were there, we saw a magic show on Mondays and an exercise event on Tuesday. The activities are centered at the castle play area. Lego bricks galore. The kids can create whatever they want from the thousands of Lego bricks all over the castle.
The hotel has 2 restaurants.
The Brick Restaurant which serves Buffet style meals and the Skyline Café which serves a la carte items.
The breakfast buffet was definitely worth getting with your package. They had a good selection for both adults and kids. Dinner buffet was good too, but very pricey.
Service was excellent. From the valet, the front desk and maid service, all of them were very helpful and we were always greeted by the staff and with a smile.
My son had a great start to his birthday week long celebration! He was definitely in Lego paradise. We will definitely be back =)

EXPENSIVE (almost cost me 1k for a short 2-​night stay) but definitely worth the splurge if you have kids that LOVE Lego! The hotel is fully themed (way better than the Disneyland hotel from my perspective), and family-​oriented with kids being it’s number 1 objective. This hotel takes the extra effort into making sure that your kids are entertained with scheduled activities, entertainment, and comforts that tailor to their needs.
Pros: Kid focused, family-​oriented, free take home goodies, FREE PARKING, fully themed hotel rooms, bunk beds for the kids, seperate area for parents, free buffet breakfast, early Legoland entrance, 24 hour fitness center for moms and dads, a huge pool with a screen that treats kids to movies nightly, and only a few steps away to the Legoland parks…
Cons: EXPENSIVE, hotel room bathrooms do NOT have a lock, no door for privacy between the kids room and the parents room, and the evening buffet dinner is not offered for free.

SO I want to say the price is a pro and a con. It’s a lot of $$, but you can get a deal or discount to lessen the cost. We only stayed 1 night and then moved off-​site.
That being said, what they offer for the price makes it worth it all!

Had a great stay.
It’s an absolutely beautiful and colorful hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated (ours was Pirate themed) and the housekeeping do an immaculate job here. The food in the restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
Overall, it is an excellent place to stay. I would not recommend this if you don’t like hearing kids screaming with excitement upon entering the lobby area. It is on the pricy side but well worth it. May or may not repeat due to pricing.

A party from the moment you step foot through the entrance… If you’re a kid.
When I first walked in, on a busy Friday afternoon, it was complete anarchy: screaming/​laughing children, kids running around, cutting off adults, Lego bricks flying, various plastic structures being erected, then demolished… A cacophony of squeaky conversation. It was beautiful in a chaotic sort of way.
The check in area has multiple Lego pits for kids to play in and plenty of space for adults to sit and wait somewhat comfortably. Lobby is complete with elaborate Lego models and there’s even a small Lego store so know one forgets that they have the option to spend money at any time.
Children rule the bright, colorful hallways. About half-​way to the elevators you will have no choice but to stop and take in the worlds largest night club for children. Yes, you read that right. There is a dance party for your kids to enjoy, complete with loud music, lighting effects, and a pirate DJ. It’s lots of fun to watch the children dancing with their parents and having a good time.
Let’s just get a few things out of the way right now:
1) there is a giant working whoopee cushion on the floor next to the elevators and kids (yours or otherwise) are definitely going to jump on it every time you pass
2) when you head up to your room the elevator music will suddenly malfunction, and the elevator will spontaneously turn into a dance party, complete with disco music and ball (it’s cute the first three times it happens).
Whimsically decorated rooms, filled with colorful carpet, wallpaper, decoration, and a collection of themed Lego models make your experience truly unique. It’s kinda like sleeping in the box art of those expensive Lego playsets you have to buy so many of. We had a pirate-​themed room and, with the exception of some pencil markings on the walls from previous children, it was pretty awesome!
At first the rooms are fun, but after awhile it’s hard to not see them for what they are: a space not much bigger than a room you can get cheaper somewhere else, with most of the same amenities, disguised with clever Lego bells and whistles. It’s definitely fun though, and I think it’s worth the price of admission just to complete the experience for your Lego-​loving little ones.
If you’re not sold yet, consider the fact that the rooms come with DVD players so your kids can watch movies, as well as a box full of Legos to play with.
The room has a treasure chest in it with a combo lock on it. You’re supposed to solve riddles so that by the end of your stay you can open it, but who needs to do that when the Internet exists, the code is 5225, you’re welcome.
Oh yeah, breakfast buffet is pretty stellar and free of charge… Get there right at 7 to avoid a gnarly line.
Overall, I’d recommend a stay at the hotel if you really want to vacation in true Lego style!

EVERYTHING is awesome at the Legoland Hotel! I think this place was the highlight of my whole trip!
I just got back from an epic road trip with my sons (6 & 8) and my parents. We went to Disneyland for 2 days and Legoland for 2 days. My boys are understandably obsessed with Legos so I knew they would love this hotel. I just didn’t know I’d love it, too!
Normally the thought of sharing a hotel room with two loud children sounds like torture, but not here! Their super cute bunk beds were totally separate from my part of the room. And we didn’t even have to share TVs!
There is a fun scavenger hunt for kids where they can win free Legos upon completion. Score! My boys also enjoyed the pool and the kids’ buffet. My youngest son said his favorite part of the entire trip was picking out his own food… seriously.
I also enjoyed the food options and the (multiple) bars. That martini helped me dance the night away in the club with my boys!
I highly recommend this hotel to young families!
