We definitely heard from Mike Macia when he was courting us for business. Only two months after the install, there were problems that needed attention. We were told our windows come with a lifetime warranty. But now that we need Mike to make a simple correction, he cannot be found. I am sick over his lack of follow through. This is a warning to any potential buyers.

I called Moss Replacement Windows and left a message explaining the window & glass jobs I needed. I know it wasn’t a big money-​making job, but at least I expected a call back. Besides, I only live a mile or so from his location, so it wasn’t out of the way.
Moss didn’t return my call — even a week later. I still need the work done.
Now it’s been two more weeks and Moss did not even respond to my Unilocal posting! Guess they’re not very hungry for business. I’ll go somewhere else where they need customers. Subtract another star…

Moss replaced my 4 sliding glass doors and sliding screen doors at my home across the street from the ocean in La Jolla about 10 yrs ago. I wasn’t optimistic that any door would last long in these conditions. But the doors stood up well to the corrosive ocean mist. All are in good condition except that the rollers on one of the screen doors corroded and jammed. When I called Mike at Moss, he instantly arranged for me to have replacements for all 4 screen doors. They arrived on my doorstep days after I spoke with Mike. It’s been a great experience.

I have waied 6 years to replace my windows and doors and I am happy that I did because that is when I found Moss. Mike and his team are the best! Mike was more than accommodating in meeting me to get measurements for my windows/​doors and to install them. It only took a week to get the windows/​doors and once they were in, it took less than a day to have 3 windows and 2 sliding doors replaced in my second floor condo. It was the best sight to come home to — new windows and doors! Mike and his team were clean; no mess left behind or damage to walls, floors, carpets, etc… and he took all of the old materials with him (no dumping on site). He also rehung my blinds!!!

Mike and his team installed windows throughout my house about a week ago now. I couldn’t be happier. From start to finish, including the initial consultation and estimate, these guys were friendly, professional, reliable, and very talented. My new windows are gorgeous, the installation all went according to plan, and the results are noticeable. My heater used to cycle on and off every 20 – 30 minutes. Now it’s about once every 2 – 3 hours! Sound isolation is a huge plus, and of course they look and feel amazing. Mike’s estimate was substantially less expensive than the competition for identical products. They were in and out in 4.5 hours to do every window in my house (ok, granted, that’s only 5 windows and a slider, but still!), and they were great about leaving the everything clean and presentable. If you’re even considering upgrading your windows, call these guys.

I had these folks replace the windows in my townhouse last Friday. AMAZING. They showed up on time, gave me the best price which (was way lower than anybody else), cleaned up after themselves and provided us with AMAZING service and really, really nice quality Simonten windows. Mike was great. He came highly recommended from a cousin who told me Mike was the most knowledgeable and had the best price of everyone he got quotes from. Mike met me and answered all my dumb questions about replacing my old sliders and windows. I was very concerned about the look and fit of replacement windows /​sliders with the trim of my custom 2-​story 1970’s house. I was not looking forward to any stucco work or a look that would conflict with the overall feel of the house. Within a month the sliders were replaced without problems and the look and feel great. I had Moss Replacement Windows install a new bathroom window on my house in North Park because the old one was drafty and falling apart. Mike and his partner arrived at my house as scheduled in their beautiful truck and immediately go to work. Their attention to detail and the amount of care they took was far beyond my expectation. They took time to make sure the window opening was cleaned, sealed, and ready to receive my beautiful new window. They went the extra mile by adding some trim to the interior which gave it a very finished, custom look.
I have many more windows that need to be replaced in my house and I will definately have Moss handle the job! The level of personal service can’t be beat and the windows are of the highest quality and workmanship.

My house had those old aluminum, single pane windows that leaked in cold air and shook when I closed the front door. Moss came in and replaced every window including two sliders, one of which they converted from a window into a slider. Moss left ZERO trace they were ever in my house except now I have new, double pane windows that are beautiful inside and out, and insulate my house.

In 2008 we purchased our house in Encinitas. It needed a little bit (OK, a lot) of work to make it a home. After having completed the majority of the interior remodeling, we decided to tackle the windows. The winter drafts and summer heat gain convinced us that it was time to change the original single pane aluminum windows.

Our home now maintains the same temperature year round without the use of heat or AC. Also, our hardwood floors and furniture no longer fade from the sun’s UV rays.
