From our first meeting, my wubby and I already fell in love with Joyce’s personality. We wanted our wedding to be personalized and very intimate. I handpicked each flowers that i wanted and joyce catered to it. She exceeded our high expectations. From my bouquet, centerpieces, bridesmaids bouquet, boutonnière, corsages, cake top flowers, pew arrangement, entrance ball, aisle décor, and our flower dogs, Joyce made it exquisite and just absolutely beautiful. My bouquet is just what i had imagined and our centerpieces are so grand and breathtaking. My best friend has been a florist for over 25 years, and he knows exactly what he wants when it comes to flowers. When he got married, he chose Joyce to do all the flowers for the bouquets, reception, and centerpieces. WOW! Each and every flower were at their peak, and Joyce was at the venue to personally place and check each arrangement.
The groom was thrilled, and told me later that he got non-​stop complements on the flowers from his fellow florist-​guests.

Joyce is truly the best and such a pleasure to work with. I would give her 6 stars if I could. She was always so accommodating with our meetings, phone calls, and e-​mails. She honestly did above and beyond anything I could have imagined. The table center pieces were amazing, along with her designing of the flower petals down the aisle. All of the bouquets were beautiful and our head table was breathtaking. I’d like to say she had great suggestions and she gave her honest opinion. For example: I knew I wanted chair ties and was willing to order them for each chair but Joyce said that every other chair would probably be enough. She was right about that and they were absolutely perfect! She actually saved us money, her idea! So many of the guests commented that they were the most beautiful flowers they have ever seen at a wedding and are still talking about it. Joyce’s artistic designs helped us create our fairy tale wedding and I know she would do the same for you!

Joyce is probably the finest florist in North County San Diego. Her work is exquisite and her customer service exceeds expectations. The designs she came up with for our wedding were «magical»…while still operating within our budget. Our guests are still telling us that the flowers were among the most beautiful they’ve ever seen. As a professional florist and as a person, Joyce cares about every detail and sees to it that every piece is «perfect» and that her customers are happy. We are blessed to know her and to have been able to work with her. She is the only florist we will use from now on.

Joyce and her team captured every thought and feeling that I expressed in floral design for our wedding. The absolute precise detail of every stem made for the most incredible experience. Joyce took the time to follow up several times with every change or add I requested which made the floral planning one of the easiest parts for me.
Delivery and Set up was provided on time and was impeccable.

Joyce was an absolute pleasure to work with! She created beautiful floral arrangements for our wedding and they’re were breathtaking! We had a few special requests but she went above and beyond to make our wedding magical! We got so many compliments from our guests about how gorgeous our arrangements were. I would 100% hire Joyce again in an instant!

Joyce is the absolute best! My daughter got engaged and we didn’t know were to turn for flowers. A friend of mine used Joyce for her daughters wedding and highly recommended her. We met with her and my daughter told her what she wanted and Joyce made some very nice suggestions. We knew we wanted to hire her and left a deposit. We came back about a week or two before the wedding to see the mock table arraignment she made. When I saw it I thought «That’s so gorgeous, I wish that could be ours at the wedding» It turns out it was the mock one she made for the wedding! It was what we asked for but so much better than we imagined! She was prompt at the wedding and did so many extras for us that we never expected but was so appreciated! The wedding site and reception room looked stunning! Everyone was commenting on the flowers… The wedding was a month ago and people still talk about it! I am going to try to upload a picture of them. Thankfully I only have one daughter and one wedding to pay for. haha… But if I had another daughter Joyce would be hired for that wedding too. I highly recommend her. Joyce was a pleasure to work with. Upon meeting her, I found she was kind and willing to accomplish all my ideas I had for flowers. For example, our wedding was in August and I wanted peonies in my bouquet– Joyce made it happen while other florists attempted to urge me to use substitute flowers since peonies were not in season. This is just one of the many things she did that exceeded our expectations.
We had visited several florists before deciding on booking Nobutama– Joyce’s work was by far the prettiest and her pricing was fair. Her designs were grand, clean and she threw in a bunch of freebies (like tossing bouquet, flowers for our cake, etc.). Not to mention she is the sweetest person to work with and was quick to respond to any inquiries I had.
I have been recommending her to all my engaged friends and I am so happy we decided to go with her. Thank you Joyce for all that you did for us – our wedding day would not have been as beautiful as it was without your skill and design.

Joyce is a dream! She is the nicest, genuine person and she works with any vision and budget! My wedding, at the Grand Tradition Estate was so, so, so beautiful because of her added touch! My bouquet was gorgeous and the centerpieces were amazing! Everything Joyce did, from beginning to end, was perfect! Not to mention, her prices were by far, much more affordable than the other preferred vendors and outside vendors. She can do the same job or BETTER for cheaper, and like I said, she is the sweetest person in the world! An example is the price I paid for the flower petal design on the floor, down the aisle. Her price was literally $ 350 cheaper than another vendor. I highly recommend Joyce for your occasion. She is tremendous and she is such a joy to work with! Thank you, Joyce! OMG! I am so happy we found Joyce to be our florist for our wedding day! It’s one of the best investment we’ve made for the wedding! She is a preferred vendor for the place where my husband and I got married at which was at the Grand Tradition Estate in Fallbrook just 2 weeks ago! Joyce is so sweet and helped us with everything including helping us to budget. She also keeps in contact with the wedding vendors so that everything went smoothly so that the staff at Grand Traditions would know what to expect and how to care for the arrangements throughout the wedding day. I was indecisive on what types of flowers I wanted and I had mixed feelings about the color theme of my wedding, Joyce showed my her pasts wedding gigs and was able to help me decide on the most beautiful mixture of florals! The day of our wedding, she also had to do floral arrangement for another wedding, and she still made all of our wedding pieces beautifully and everything ready way before our wedding started! I even made last minute changes and called her at 8pm the night before the wedding, and Joyce happily accepted the changes and was able to help me! I will update this review and upload pictures when I get pictures back from my photography. All of the center pieces was gone by the time the party ended because the guests loved the floral arrangements so much they all took it home! Thanks Joyce for making our wedding so beautiful!!!

I had no idea how much of a difference flowers could make at a wedding, but i’m SO glad i picked Joyce to by my florist. She’s an delight to work with, and her centerpieces were EXACTLY what i wanted– classy, feminine, and absolutely gorgeous! Out of all my wedding vendors, Joyce was definitely in the top 2… she’s THAT good.
I first met Joyce at the Grand Tradition Estate bridal show, where some of her beautiful work was displayed as centerpieces. I took her contact information but was afraid of her prices, as it seems like she would charge much more than other vendors who were also at the show. I called her a few weeks later, and gave her my budget and a rough idea of what i wanted. She said she would definitely work with me, and a few days later sent me a quote with how much everything would cost.
I have to admit, i got sticker shock when I first saw the final price– it was at least $ 1000 more than the number i had given. Nevertheless, i met with her at Grand Traditon estate a few months later (she was setting up for another wedding) and i took her quote with me. We sat down and started negotiating item by item. She switched out some of the more expensive flowers for in season ones, took out some ceremony décor i didn’t necessary need, and after 30 mins we managed to bring the final price more or less to what i wanted. I was so relieved that Joyce was so easy to work with, and willing to go down on her prices to accommodate my budget. I walked away very comfortable with my flowers, and confident that Joyce would bring my vision to life.
I ended up making a lot of last minute changes anyways, but Joyce was very patient and reassuring.
I also had Joyce decorate my wedding cake (I absolutely love fresh flowers everywhere) When i walked into my venue on the day of the wedding, boy was i blown away! the flowers were on tall. 24″ vases filled with water and a white flower (orchids?) They brought a very classy and elegant feel to the reception. Our DJ did a coral uplighting in the reception, and they perfectly complimented the flowers for the most amazing reception décor. My guests kept commenting on how gorgeous the flowers were, and the ones who got to take the centerpieces home were delighted!
My hubby and i went on a cruise the day after our wedding, and i insisted on bringing the centerpiece on board with me to display in our room. I loved them so much i couldn’t bear the thought of leaving them at home.
Before my wedding planning started i didn’t even know i wanted fresh flowers, or how much of a difference they made. I would hire Joyce again in a heartbeat, and strongly recommend her to anyone planning an event in San Diego!

I knew I wanted beautiful, fresh, amazing flowers for my wedding– I just had no idea how to describe what I wanted them to look like. This is where Joyce came in. I told her what our budget was, the color scheme, and the overall vibe that I was going for and she delivered in a HUGE way. The best decision I ever made with the flowers was giving her creative license and let her do her thing, because everything was gorgeous. Even with the 90+ degree heat, her flowers would not die/​wilt/​fade. In fact, they lasted a whole week before they started looking a little less fresh.
Joyce also came through for me at the last minute. I was initially planning on carrying a brooch bouquet down the aisle because after looking at dozens of fresh bouquet pictures, nothing really spoke to me. Then of course, I changed my mind the week before the big day. I call Joyce and she tells me not to worry, she can get it done. On our wedding day, the personal flowers get delivered to the hotel. I’m a bit nervous since I had given her zero direction and she didn’t know what my dress looked like, but there was no need for that. IT WAS GORGEOUS. Totally my style and like nothing I had ever seen in all of my prior research.
Dealing with Joyce was such a pleasure. She was very responsive and helpful in coordinating the set up and transport at both the church and reception site. There were extra touches all over the room that just made it that much more special. It really was an amazing value for everything that we got. I continue to recommend Joyce again and again.

I choose Joyce as the florist based on Unilocal positive reviews and recommendation from one of the wedding planner at Grand Tradition Estate. However, it is obviously a wrong decision. And I hope my experience will help other brides not to fall again.
She seems to be very friendly at our first meet and is willing to do the wedding based on our budget. We do appreciate that. After that, she urged us to pay the deposit of $ 500 without any interest in discussing what we want at our wedding anymore. She does not return phone calls or emails regarding any inquiries. Even she did reply, it’s usually very short and inpatient, and again, urged for the deposit. She even wrote in one email, «this is the last question I will answer.» As a wedding vendor, shouldn’t she be spending some time with customers and get to know their needs before asking for a deposit? Well, don’t expect that from her. It made us feel she cares nothing but her payment (which we paid in time and we kept adding more stuffs so it’s not a budget concerned wedding.) Due to the time we had until the wedding, we decided to stick with her because it will take too much time to find another one. I can only say we are in bad luck to find her first.
Okay, this is what happened at the wedding. The flowers at the gazebo are fine. They are roughly as what we requested. The centerpiece at the reception is obviously in different flowers and colors than we ordered. They are also much smaller than we expect. The worst part is, the bridal bouquet! We requested it in white and red, but it came out all in red. Several dark red roses are already withered that there are mold or disgusting white spots on the roses. I should upload a picture of it so you can see how awful it is! And it is not cheap– the bouquet cost us $ 150! (you can find a bouquet from other vendor at around $ 75 in that size!) The quality is totally unacceptable especially in that price, besides that she ignored what we ordered.
She also broke one of our decoration without telling my husband or me. Instead, she turned to one of our family member who knows nothing about the contract and quoted what she said «it’s fine.» She is reluctant to pay the damaged decoration, and she said it was caused by nature wind and cost her staff another hour to glue it back and she is just «doing us a favor!» Come on!!! This is not the attitude a vendor should have. You broke it, you should first tell the owner honestly, instead of trying to cover it up and use any excuse to get away. We didn’t ask the payment for the broken one in the end because she wanted our friend who gave us the gift to call her and tell her how much it is. It is very rude…
If you think that’s the end, well, sorry. She took one of our friend’s vase, again, without telling us after the wedding. When we first contacted Grand Tradition Estate, they said as a professional vendor, she won’t take something that does not belong to her. Well, that does not apply to her. She did take it and the venue didn’t figure it out until we contacted them twice and have them double checked with Joyce. In the end, Joyce called me and sent a check for the vase saying it will be of the most convenience in this way. We can simply give the check to our friend, yes that’s what she said.
My honest recommendation for future brides, if you want a vendor who will do the job as you want, Joyce is not the option. You need to bear with the risk anything could change or happen and there is no warranty. If something wrong does happen, she will find some excuse rather than admit her faults. Not a candid and responsible vendor, with lots of hassles even you did your work. I will NOT recommend her.

Joyce is an amazingly talented lady. She did the flowers for my wedding at The Grand Tradition Estate and she did a wonderful job. She is so sweet and helpful. I’m so glad we found her. When I met with her she wanted to know what my image was, my color scheme and some of my favorite flowers. She even worked in our budget. I was able to contact her with all my questions and concerns and she was more than happy to answer them all. It’s a relief to meet someone who is so passionate about their work and art that they’d want to share it with anyone no matter the cost. She truly is a pro. I’d recommend her to anyone.

I would recommend Joyce to anyone and everyone! I could not be more happy with her and her work. Her flowers absolutely stunned at my wedding and she was the sweetest person. She made my vision a reality and even added to it. She is great at working with couples and their budget and still giving way more than you would ever expect.
We had her not only do our flowers but our linens too and she has a very good eye for decorating. You can tell she loves what she does because she really takes the time to know each couple and what they want. I cannot say enough god things about her. My favorite vendor! I hope to call her up again– maybe for a baby shower :)

Within minutes upon meeting her, my husband and I knew we had made the right decision when we chose Joyce of Nobutama Flowers to do our May 4 wedding. Joyce was beyond organized, artistic, and super sweet. We told her what we had in mind and Joyce presented us with photos from previous weddings she had done. She was honest and extremely professional. Joyce immediately responded to my calls and emails and assured us every step of the way that our wedding would be beautiful. I
On the day of our wedding, our family, guests, and photographers all complimented her work. The wedding venue was transformed through Joyce’s vision and beautiful floral arrangements.

I really don’t know where to begin! Joyce was by far my absolute favorite wedding vendor! I would have given her 10 stars if I could have. First off, Joyce is the sweetest woman ever! She really is such a kind hearted, generous person and is so easy to work with!!! She always called or emailed me back immediately and is extremely professional on every level. Joyce really went ABOVE and BEYOND for us on our wedding day and I get the feeling she’s like that for all of her brides!!! Her flower arrangements were absolutely gorgeous and soooo many guests commented on how nice the flowers and colors were of the wedding! Joyce even threw in a few freebies here and there– cute little wedding flowers/​decoration on the toasting glasses, cake cutting servers, and a beautiful little arrangement for our sweet heart table. Her bouquets were equally stunning!!! The bridesmaid bouquets were a perfect assortment of all the colors I wanted and my cascade bouquet was just perfect! I couldn’t have asked for anything else!!! Joyce really did such a wonderful job trying to get the exact color scheme I was hoping for! All in all, everyone who met Joyce that day fell in love with her… my mom, the wedding coordinator, my friends, etc… Thank you so much Joyce for helping to make our wedding day beautiful!!! :)

We hired Joyce for our wedding at grand traditions estates for April 27, 2013.
She was so sweet and easy to work with. She showed us many pictures of her work and even had some sample pieces when we had our first meeting.
We decided to have Joyce do our flowers as wells as our linens for the wedding.
She always took our calls right away, and was always sweet and professional.
We had trouble paying with paypal and she worked with us on that issue with no problems and made it seem like the issue never happened.
The day of the wedding she blew us away with the flower arraignments and table linens. They were absolutely stunning. The bouquets were perfect. The flowers outside were just amazing. She also made us two huge arraignments for the stairs at no charge and decorated the cake with flowers no charge.
Her flowers last so long. My wedding was over 2 weeks ago and my bouquet is still sitting on the kitchen table in a vase and barely looks dead.
We can not recommend Joyce enough. She was our favorite vendor we hired. She is AMAZING!!! She is sweet, creative, very giving, and most of all her prices are very good.
You get so much more than you pay for. I could go on and on about Joyce and her work. Thank you Joyce and your whole team for making our wedding so fabulous. We can not thank you enough.
