Staybridge Suites Carlsbad

We LOVED our stay at this hotel. It is a VERY FAMILY FRIENDLY hotel. The front staff really made you feel welcome! The kitchen staff were just like family – they worked nonstop and were so on top of making sure everyone got fed. Everything is BRAND NEW and beautiful! It was a great location – 40 minutes to San Diego, up the street from Legoland, Costco-​nearby lots of food places to eat.

I don’t know how this hotel get high rate, I am staying this hotel while I am writing this review because i am so frustrated, My stuff is stole from the room and the bed sheet have shit spot. just imaging. Please write correct review which may help others.

WOW. We live in Scripps Ranch but I decided to have a staycation in Carlsbad and take my daughters to Legoland for her 8^th birthday for a couple days. The hotel is super clean, modern and the room was awesome (kitchen in the room and super comfy beds). The young woman who checked us in early afternoon on Feb 5^th (sorry forgot your name!) was so sweet and wished my daughter a happy birthday when we were checking in. Check in was speedy and easy. Our room was right by the pool like I requested (and yes we used the large jacuzzi both nights!!) Having kids, I ended up needing some extra things like pool towels, a broom and dust pan and a replacement box of Nerds candy that was spilled all over the floor. The night front desk representative, Akash, was very helpful and kind both nights of our stay– even replaced our box of candy at no charge! So nice to have great employees– makes the world of difference when you are staying somewhere new!!! Great job!!! The young woman who was helping with breakfast was also very welcoming and efficient– she greeted us with a smiley «good morning» and helped us figure out the waffle maker lol Breakfast was yummy– good variety of fresh fruit, muffins, oatmeal, cereal and warm items like eggs and waffles. Coffee and juices too. Being a woman, vacationing with two kids, I like to stay at places I feel comfortable, welcomes and safe– and this place was a DEFINITE YES! Thanks for the great experience we had here– will obviously stay here again :)

We stayed here for 2 months and were pleasantly surprised with the amenities, they had everything we needed and are pet friendly. Daniela & Akash were so friendly & helpful during our stay. Only 2 things needed improvement: housekeeping & cheap breakfast. Except Rosario she’s awesome although she is Spanish speaking only :) thanks for being our temporary home.

Room Service Sucks!
Even if you call front desk every day for 4 weeks and ask for their supervisor, Maria — they’re unable to communicate effectively and we have repeatedly asked for late room service due to our crazy work hours. I deal with different people standing in my room every single day as in sleeping in the privacy or what I thought was the privacy of hotel room! I can tell you this — there’s not one person who does clean up who hasn’t seen me naked! No Privacy! I usually have to call front desk 4 clean towels, etc. I can go on. Been here 4 weeks now and I’m ready to check out
I just want to sleep in and get 5 hours of sleep without waking up to a Mexican lady in my room saying oh sorry one day is that too much to ask 4?

Received a message through Unilocal from the Manager asking what she can do to help. She asked for my info and reservation number (which I provided). I asked again for an apology or a refund for my stay. I’ve send 4 follow up emails/​calls over a 3 week period and there has been no reply. Hate to sound like a broken record here but staff is not properly trained on how to work with guests nor solve any problems that arise with their own staff.

Beautiful spaces. New. Pool, basketball, tennis. Clean and quiet.

This place is the best! It is brand-​new and the rooms are incredible I can’t say enough about it I give it six stars. I have stayed at the courtyards, extended stay America, and Hampton suites this one is by far the best room I’ve ever had.

So so nice! Really helpful positive people, and all have a great attitude. Great, convenience place which is smart with loads of facilities. This whole hotel and matching courtyard and pool is new — less than 6 months old at time of writing — and is clean too. Pets welcomed. Stylish … design in the rooms is more obvious than practicality as they need hooks on the walls and rails in the showers.

My family (me, my wife, and three kids, ages 6, 9 and 11) stayed at Staybridge for three nights while hitting the tourist attractions in the area.
The hotel was great — clean, well equipped, modern, and with a friendly staff and great amenities.
We thought the evening snacks were a great thing to provide guests, and were really impressed with the quality (one evening, the snacks were a build-​your-​own Cobb salad (great fresh ingredients) and hot dogs, and the other night was a nacho bar with a very tasty black bean and corn salad. These — as well as beer, wine, sangria and non-​alcoholic drinks — were free for guests.
The breakfast was ok — the eggs are of the powdered variety and the sausage isn’t very good, so we avoided those, but the make-​your-​own waffles were good, and there was always fresh fruit, mini muffins, cereals, oatmeal and other offerings were all very good. The breakfast was also included in the price of the room.
Other amenities: a nice communal TV room with board games, a great pool and hot tub area, a washer and dryer that’s free for guests to use (this is a huge plus if you’re taking the kids to the beach), DVD players in the rooms (another thing our kids really enjoyed having), and full kitchens (oven, stove, microwave and refrig) in the rooms. Oh, and free parking, free Wifi, free HBO — what a great place!
The hotel is a 15 – 20 minute drive from Lego Land, 10 – 15 minutes from the beach, and 5 – 10 minutes from a variety of shops and restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful, and it’s great value-​for-​price.
Staybridge is a little hard to find — it’s located behind a Holiday Inn, and there’s not great signage. It is close to the airport, and you’ll see and hear airplanes coming in for landings if you’re in the pool or basketball court areas outside, but we found that there was no noise from outside once we were in the hotel.
We’ll definitely stay at Staybridge the next time we’re in the Carlsbad area.

Easy checking in. Hotel smells so new. We rented a one bedroom suite and the pictures just don’t do it justice! It’s so big and has central a/​c. As well the kitchen comes with complementary popcorn, tea and coffee. The appliances are stainless steel. Spacious living room. Tv in room and living room. The interior is so nice very modern style. Granite counter tops with blackout shade curtains. Everything so much nicer than just a regular hotel. I had high expectations and this totally beat them! I have only been here less than an hour! I know I’m going to enjoy this weekend!

New hotel… Clean rooms. Nice pool, basketball court. The breakfast was not that of a normal staybridge but of a holiday inn express very cheap. That’s why only the 3 stars. Everyone that works there is very friendly. The happy hour with snack was a nice addition. Very kid and pet friendly!

I travel a lot for business and am always looking for hotels that cater to the business traveler. This my first stay at this hotel and this chain. Reasonable cost for a suite with a full kitchen, marketplace 24 hours, free wi-​fi, free business needs: computers, printing, scanning, faxing, etc… Free hot breakfast, free happy hour including free dinner. Veronica who is in charge of happy hour/​dinner is very attentive and kind and goes over and above getting to know each guest and making everyone feel at home. Room service is also available. This chain is now on my top 10 for business travelers. I stayed at the Carlsbad, CA. Next time I’m working in north central SD county, I will be staying here again! Oh, and did I mention less than $ 140 a night. Go there and say ‘hi’ to Veronica for me!

Great place good location. Hotel staff was friendly and very accommodating. Had a younger man check me in very polite and coming from the business side much is lacked at many hotels. He called me by my name on multiple times as much as two hours after checkin. Nice breakfast eating area and was never car to find everything neat and clean in our room. We will be back

I was very happy with the hotel. It was fairly new, very clean. It had everything you would need. Very close to Legoland. Kid, friendly. I would stay there again.

Beautiful clean hotel, it was comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed in the little kitchenette. The stag is friendly and a special thank you to the general manager Jay for his exceptional customer service. Definitely will come back.

Overall great experiences… Enjoyed my stay here with my family. Great modern rooms and layout. The courtyard and pool are wonderful. Jessica B. I give it a solid 3 stars for the mere fact that the hotel is new and the staff is still learning the ropes. However, there were some things that I experienced that I was not happy about. Hopefully management will read this review and make some changes.
–When I walked in the lobby smelled like boiled eggs.
–The shower had dark smudges, presumably from contractors hastily finishing the tile. (A magic eraser should fix that right up).
–I locked myself out of the room and while it was nice that they gave me little hassle about letting me in, it’s just not safe to do that in this day and age. I found out after that my uncle had a similar situation and, since he works in hotel security, he told them as much.
Other than that, the room was clean, check-​in was easy, and there is a substantial breakfast included in the room rate. I hate that Carlsbad hotels are expensive for no reason (Legoland is not enough of a justification) but it is what it is.

Not a happy camper. I give it two review stars too how beautiful this new hotel is, but that’s about it. I was rubbed the wrong way by the rude attitude on the phone when calling front desk-​the man was not patient. The moment we came in the hotel I waited about ten minutes and then finally Jonathan was off the phone to greet us (if that’s what you want to call it.) I assumed that was the same person I talked to on the phone just hours before. His unprofessional attitude and demeanor ticked me off. Until the manager came out to fix our check in was when he became professional to other guests coming in. This hotel is very nice, but I don’t feel the hotel atmosphere I feel like I’m in apartment complex. It is still apparently going under construction because the banging outside and a lot of workers pass by the window every two seconds. I’m not happy with this place and really wish I didn’t cancel my prior hotel reservations because now I really wish I spent the extra money. I’ve noticed the men working in the halls (in uniform) do not act like they even work here and are pervs. Not happy!!! I just checked in and can’t wait to check out tomorrow!
