Sweet Cheeks Beauty Bar

I am hugely disappointed in this salon and their customer service. I have been a loyal customer and member since they opened and had multiple appointments every month as well as brought in multiple friends. Every time the wait has been between 10 – 45 minutes, I’ve never complained nor got an apology or discounted service. Today I called 10 min before my appointment to let them know I was running late due to Friday traffic, making the drive from Del Mar. I made it 10 minutes past my appointment to be told they wouldn’t take me. I understand I was late however considering me calling ahead of time, that I’ve waited 10 – 45 minutes for every appointment I’ve ever had, as well as being a member for several years that they would make an effort to accommodate me. I’m leaving for Europe tomorrow morning with no way of making another appointment. Needless to say I cancelled my membership and will ask all my friends I have recommended to cancel theirs as well.

I usually go to the place by my house to get a Brazilian but decided to try this place out since it’s by my work and figured I can do it on my lunch break. I’m glad I decided that because it was pleasant as a Brazilian can get for anyone.
This place is kind of hard to notice but it’s there in Carlsbad, and it’s a cute little shop with lots of pretty things in there. From soaps to beauty products, it made me feel girlier being there since well, I have a hard time being too girly these days.
I was checked in, in a matter of minutes and sat down in their cute waiting area. Dusti did my brazilian and she was really great with explaining on what she’s going to do next. I was a bit iffy or not having anything cover me while I wait but that’s ok.
I liked that she didn’t double dip the sticks into the wax and was quick about it. She distracted me and explained to me what are she’ll cover next. I got my brazilian in less than 10 minutes.
When I checked in to pay, I noticed that i get a free lavender body butter but since they were out, Dusti gave me a full size vitamin oil for my face that was worth about $ 50. She was generous and didn’t mind handing it off to me. I’ve been using it for a week now and my skin looks great.
I plan to be a regular at this place now, my experience here was very pleasant!

Dusti is amazing! She is so friendly and welcoming! I’ve been coming to her for quite some time now and actually find my waxing to be somewhat therapeutic. She goes above and beyond to ensure my appointments are smooth sailing. I feel so comfortable going with her and it helps a ton that she is so incredibly sweet! Thanks a bunch Dusti for making each visit awesome! I’m so happy I found this beauty bar!

Love this place! My mom and I went for Mother’s Day and bought a groupon for a massage, body polish, and facial. Although it was supposed to include mimosas, we didn’t get any. But the services were great and the workers were nice!

Second time here, the service was awesome and Leili made me feel so calm and explained every step as she went. I am definitely returning.

I’ve had both Krystin and Dusti. I was new to the waxing scene and they are both fantastic! Brazilian, legs. whatever. you name it. They are very good and very nice. I couldn’t feel more comfortable than if it was in my own home!

Stoli is an awesome masseuse. Her pressure is right on and she always asks which area’s she needs to focus on. The first massage I had with her was because I had received a gift card for a massage. She is so wonderful that I joined the massage membership. During one of my massages, I was so relaxed I just about fell asleep.
You will not be disappointed.

I had a bikini wax and a massage here! Both girls were awesome. Started coming here because I got a groupon about a year ago and even though I’m down in the Poway area it’s worth the drive!

LOVE this place! Dusti the owner is so experienced, comes from years of top notch service at La Costa Spa and she truly makes this place so welcoming. She knows her treatments and products and what to recommend. The customer is always a priority for her and her staff. She has other great estheticians like Brie who did my oxygen facial. What a great experience! They have an awesome selection of candles and gifts too!

The boutique was cute, I bought a little something and revived a free gift, and the ladies were nice. But the lady who waxed my brows (Kim I think, older lady) completely messed up the shape I had and had been working on. They were way different shaped afterwards also. I won’t be coming back.

After moving to Oceanside from Las Vegas at the end of 2014 I was in NEED of finding a new waxer. It’s always hard to find a place in comfortable with. I HAVE to be comfortable. Did my Unilocaling and came across this place. And it was the best decision ever. I’m so comfortable and always satisfied after every wax. I even signed up for the membership. Originally the Brazilian is $ 45 & if you’re an avid waxed like I am you’re better off getting the membership. It’s 29.99 a month and it’s taken out on the first of every month and you can use it any day in the month (has to be used. It doesn’t rollover) and you get a discounts on other services too! It’s literally the best thing ever. Come to Sweet Cheeks!

This was my first time at Sweet Cheeks and I loved every minute. I was warmly greeted at the front desk and then taken back for a HydraFacial I had purchased on Groupon. Brie, who gave me the facial, was a very nice balance between professional and personable as she talked me through the process and answered my questions. It was a great experience and felt luxurious and caring. It’s been two days since the facial and my face still has a beautiful glow. Thank you Brie and Sweet Cheeks!

My entire experience was great! Easy location, cute salon with a fun retail section, really clean, bright and organized. The gal at the front was cherry and helpful and Kim, my waxer, was fabulous, professional and fast! I will definitely go back!!!

I LOVED it here! I got my first ever brazilian with Dusti, and she was amazing! I was so nervous, but she assured me she likes to move quickly as to not prolong the process– she did not disappoint! Was it painless? Not particularly, but what do you expect? It definitely wasn’t as painful as I was expecting. The only issue I had was when Dusti was done, it was so smooth, but by the time I got home where was still a lot of smaller hairs. I’m not sure if this was because after the wax my skin «goosebumped» so it squeezed out the hair, or what. Not a huge deal, but kind of a bummer. Dusti also did my eyebrows and they look great too! I would love to continue coming back for brazilians and my brows (hint: they have happy hour specials M-​Th before 5pm — eyebrow waxing is only $ 12 during HH!).
One of the best parts is I purchased the Unilocal deal — $ 30 for $ 50 — and I didn’t realize it expired, but they honored it anyway (swear I didn’t make a fuss!) — that was the cherry on top of the sundae :)

This is the first time I went to get my bikini line and stomach waxed. I had Brittany, and she was very nice and made me feel comfortable. I loved her personality, but I’m not as sure of her work. I leave for my honeymoon in 2 days, and I wasn’t impressed by the job that was done. There was quite a few stray hairs that were left and on my stomach I could tell the the hair was broken and not pulled out all the way. This will mean that I will have to shave on my honeymoon, which completely defeats the purpose of getting waxed. My sister had a similar experience here, and I don’t know if I would go back. I did have a deal from Unilocal which made my eyebrows, bikini, and stomach all $ 65. Iam not sure if this is common of all wax places, but I’d definitely want to try another place before going back here.

This was my first time getting a Brazilian, and Brittany made my visit very relaxing. She was delightful and kept it light hearted the entire time and her work was quick and painless – or maybe I just have a high pain tolerance ;) I would definitely recommend Brittany for getting a wax, whether it’s your first or millionth time.
Outside from the appointment, the front of the store had lots of cute items for purchase. I’ll definitely be visiting again, even if it’s just to buy some of their delightful soaps that they have at the front of the shop.

Had a wonderful spray tan with Kim! It was my first visit and if my next one is as good, I’d definitely give 5 stars!
Booking on phone was easy. Availability was good. Place is very cute and it does smell great! Treatment room was nice, with all the little things you may need like a headband, etc. I really liked my gal, Kim, who did the tan — friendly, informative, made me comfortable, and very skilled at the spray application. She also explained how it worked and that the product is healthy and non toxic.
Best of all, the finished product was even better than I expected. Golden and natural looking. Those who knew it was a spray commented on how real it looked, and others who didn’t know simply commented on the fact that I looked nice and tan… even 3 days later. No streaks or issues, and I showered the bronzer off after 8 hours and it didn’t even get on my towel after.
