History
Established in 1993.
Originally from the small town of Chanute, Kansas, Tamara had always dreamt of the bright lights and sun washed beaches of southern California. So, shortly after graduating from cosmetology school, she loaded her little car and made a beeline for San Diego. That was nearly twenty years ago, and since then she has developed a reputation as one of the area’s top stylists and San Diego’s preeminent color specialist. Tamara continuously hones her skills with continued education at such noted academies as Toni & Guy, Vidal Sassoon, Rusk, Paul Mitchell, and others, and was herself a Color Technique & Theory Educator for four years. She travels regularly in search of new ideas and breaking trends, and recent forays have included Paris, Berlin, and Manhattan. When she is not making clients beautiful, she likes to spend her time practicing yoga, meditating, and at the beach. When asked what her clients should know about her, She responded, «I love what I do, and bringing out the joy in people!»

Business Owner
When I’m not making clients happy in the salon, I can be found in my studio creating art that expresses my love of nature and the mysteries of the human heart. My current focus is painting with acrylic on canvas, and found-object sculpture. I began painting and sculpture under the tutelage of my mentor Gerrit Greve, whose work has been included in the book «1001 Paintings — You Must See before You Die».
