Jennifer is amazing! I was in the area and decided to give her a try and she’s honestly the best person I’ve been to. I got a Brazilian and it wasn’t even painful! I’m definitely going back.

Absolutely incredible experience all around.
The place was clean and adorably decorated… almost making you forget you were there to get your hair mercilessly yanked out near your lady parts.
Jennifer was warm, inviting, professional, and efficient (thank the lord!) I will go nowhere else! She puts your mind at ease and distracts you with witty banter :)

My experience at Jennifer ’ s waxing place was awesome. She was very polite from the beginning, waxing was great, and very easy to talk too. I asked her to go «beyond the lines» as mentioned below for the light shoulder hit and no problem at all. I wish I found her earlier because I was the wax when I need to, for example trips. The reason I only went when I really needed too was most waxing places are like I just walked into a Victory Secret store alone… getting the wife something «I picked out». Basically, simple shop with one room and waiting room fit for men or women. It’s tucked away but easy to find. Park at the corner of grand and roosevelt the commercial buildings on the northeast corner, inside the courtyard on the left. I will be going there from here on for sure. Cheers.

So basically, Jen is AMAZING! I go to her for my Brazilian wax and leave 100% satisfied every time. I’m so picky when it comes to my lady parts looking on point; not only is Jen an amazing and meticulous waxer, but she makes you feel so comfortable (which is obviously a major plus when someone’s all up in your business like that) haha.

I’ve never really been one to keep up with a regular waxing schedule. But ever since I’ve been coming to The Wax Place its been so easy. Jennifer is friendly, quick, efficient and attentive. I love how making appointments is a breeze and how she is always makes sure that I am all set with my post wax treatments (creams, exfoliating gloves). Thanks Jennifer!

I’d been to another place that charges for upper, lower, and middle back. And if you select one it’s like a lazer will cut their hand off if they cross the line. AND, each section was the price she charges for the whole shebang!

I just moved into the area and was looking for a new wax place when I decided to give Jennifer at The Wax Place a shot. I’m so glad I did. Jennifer is very friendly and welcoming. The shop itself is a cute boutique in Carlsbad. Jennifer specializes specifically in waxing and tanning so you know she’ll do a great job. My Brazilian wax was super quick and she even gave me exfoliation gloves! I already booked my next appointment.
Make sure to ask about packages because it makes the price per wax session cheaper. And don’t forget about the $ 25 for $ 50 Unilocal deal!

The last time I got my eyebrows waxed was back when I was 18, needless to say I never let anybody touch my eyebrows after that (The European Wax Center made them look terrible!). 2 years later and I realized I needed to have a professional give my eyebrows the pampering they deserved! Jennifer was absolutely amazing! She was super efficient and very sweet, made me feel comfortable the whole time and really made me feel special. I’ve found my waxing go-​to-​girl and I couldn’t be happier!

Had a great experience with Jennifer today trying out waxing for the first time. Not nearly as bad as I thought it could be and Jennifer made me really comfortable with the whole process. She kept checking in to make sure I was ok and was really personable and fast. I’m definitely coming back!

I had had some bad past experiences with waxing, but after reading the reviews I decided to give the Wax Place a try, and I am so glad that I did!!! Jennifer is amazing, she listened to all of my concerns and put me at ease, and she did an amazing job! I had my eyebrows and lashes tinted as well and I love how they turned out, she did a great job and she explained everything that was going on before, during and after. Not only that, she even followed up a couple days later to see how everything was going… If you’re looking for a great place for waxing and/​or tinting this is the place to go!

I haven’t gone for a wax in awhile because of moving away from the area I was familiar with. I decided to do a search on Unilocal and found Jennifer’s reviews were really high. I’m always nervous when meeting with a new waxed because you never know if they might hurt you on accident. Jennifer was really friendly and supper knowledgeable. She put my mind at ease before starting and always asked how I was doing. She even gave me stuff for after treatment. After my visit I know I’ve found my spot for all my waxing needs.

Jennifer is flexible, kind and easy to feel comfortable around. She is professional and careful with her work– the spa atmosphere is clean and adorable. She uses quality wax products and always has the exact helpful post wax product to help make your waxing as easy as possible. I went here for my first full Brazilian wax and I won’t go anywhere else. My husband agrees ;)

Jennifer does an exceptional job. I discovered her from a living social deal for Brazilian wax. She has a very warm personality and is always very professional. She is also flexible and has squeezed me in when I’m in a pinch for time. The place is small cozy and clean which anyone that gets waxed really appreciates. This place is tucked away next to a boutique and a bead store. There is also a decent size parking lot. Sometimes parking can get a little crowded because it shares space with a busy café & a medical office as well as a few other establishments. Regardless I have always been able to find parking just sometimes I have to walk further. The prices here are also VERY reasonable especially if you come in regularly. She could definitely charge more because of the location.

If there’s a pleasant experience to be had while someone is waxing you, it’s at the Wax Place, the cutest little studio located right in the Village. Jennifer is so sweet and funny and tries to keep your mind off of the fact that she’s about to make you want to utter every expletive in your vocabulary. Kidding…
This was the least painless wax I’ve ever had, and it’s because of her technique and the kind of wax she uses. In my experience, Jennifer was easy to get a hold of, but keep in mind she runs a pretty successful one-​woman show, so if she doesn’t pick up her phone, it’s probably because she’s with a client. Her prices are competitive for the area and I will definitely be back to see her!

I would not trust just anyone to apply molten hot wax to the most sensitive part of my body. This is a sticky situation with immediate results. I have heard horror stories about hot wax literally sealing women shut. The result could be catastrophic, imagine a mass of matted hair and wax being ripped off. What could possibly go wrong? I can think of several scenarios.
1. Burning wax scalds the skin underneath it forming a blister
2. The wax peels off but the hair underneath it remains
3. The wax and the hair come off quickly, along with a thin layer of skin
Thankfully I will not be the one to tell this story because Jennifer is the best. Her lovely space and music makes me feel at home, almost comfortable.
She is sweet, professional and good at her job.
My eyebrows have never looked better.
